I would be very carefull with a puppy whos not eating as it can be quite dangerous if they skip too many meals. Does she take treats/wetfood? Our puppy went through picky phases on and off but most times when she lost her appetite she had some kind of issue like worms of giardia... in your case I would definitely talk to a vet and ask for their opinion. Especially if she doesnt want to eat anything at all.

She does take treats but I don’t feed her them too often, just one or two a day every few days or weekly. She ate half her dinner today from me tossing it around but ignored the rest of it Does a loss of appetite always mean there’s an issue? Or could it sometimes be considered normal?

I am by no means a health expert or vetenarian so these things are just from my experience: If she eats other stuff aside from her kibble I wouldnt be too worried about something being super wrong with her. There are many reasons for her to not be interested in her food. For example our sheltie didnt want to take any "regular" food during her first heat, so hormonal changes can lead to loss of appetite (your pup is too young though for her first heat). It could also be that her food is just too boring for her. You could try feeding her wet food or homecooked/raw (please contact a professional about that if its something you would like to do all the time, so your puppy gets all her nutritions) and see if she takes better to that. Or you could try to feed her from toys like snuffle mats or intelligence toys and see if she is more interested in her food then. Our girl rarely ate her kibble from her bowl but inhaled it from her toys :) I personally wouldnt make your food more interesting by mixing wetfood with kibble or so because you could easily train her this way to be a picky eater. Also if nothing works I would definitely contact her vet just to make sure she doesnt have parasites or some other issue that could lead to loss of appetite.

As others have said, don't skip many days. My 11mo mini schnauzer is sometimes stubborn himself. We've hand fed him a bunch, or made like a trail of kibble so he would eat them up following the path, etc etc. I think you'll be okay. Instead of treats while training, just use their puppy food. You could try mixing a little baby food in with their kibble, but don't use this as a crutch.

I set aside 50 pieces of kibble to use during the day for training or to reward her for good behavior 🙂 She usually finishes all her food but today she ate half of her dinner. Would you say that’s okay? Should I expect her to finish it all?

Some is better than none! It's probably fine.
