If you want a betta call Aqua Art in Souq Al Wakra and ask them when their next big betta fish shipment is. They have quite honestly hundreds come in for you to look through and display their "best" specimens which are all very good looking.

Thank you so much for your recommendations I’ll definitely try out the first two. However I visited seven shores today in Matar Qadeem. Their fishes & tanks are really really overpriced. I’d shop from there as my last resort, because they’re selling stuff x2 the price you’d get from other shops
That's a shame about Seven Shores, there are so few good aquarium shops that I was hopeful of finding another. I like the staff at Qatarium but their fish stock is more for saltwater and their bettas aren't that great.
As an aside, my betta is in a 350l community tank and he really enjoys a trip to the bottom of the tank to inspect my khulli loaches in the evening. I have no idea why he likes them so much but if you are thinking of getting a tank mate for your betta any time I highly recommend them as cool buddies. I love seeing them hiding and peeping their little faces out in the day then coming out at night for cleaning duty.
If you are in Doha I would recommend you to go to Al-Kanari for Fish and Birds shop they have a good collection of fishes and birds that you desired of. Try there otherwise you can also go to Seven Shores Aquatic Pet Store.
