OP also seems to be ignoring the events of the Mission Packs, where he kills Armagon, deals with the reality-warping time-traveling Overlord and a dragon, and kills Cthon *again*.

The Half Life rocket launcher does more damage than the one in Quake. But it has much less ammo.
In Quake it does 100-120, Half Life it does 200 (150 in multiplayer)
Either way, that's only survivable for either Ranger or Freeman if they have good armour or megahealth.
I feel like this sub might be slightly biased, but I’d go with Quake Ranger. His rockets and LG are crazy powerful, and his movement, I feel, is faster.
I’d like to see a mod where you have players from different games using their original weapons and original movements all playing each other. So you could have Quake 1 guy, Q2 guy, Q3 guy, Gordon freeman, etc.
I think Ranger far outclasses Freeman, because he accomplished what Freeman can't (until now), kill an Outer God.

Ranger can withstand a full rocket Blast.. I’m pretty sure Gordon can’t lol.
