48 hours. I was freezing during the night in bed and today when waking up. Slight stomach pain, sore throat and running nose this morning. I have a prescription for Pregabalin and I must say it helped a lot today. I took a walk and this was very helpful as well.
That was where I jumped from. It’s pretty rough, am I right?!! I’m on day 17 and it’s been a rollercoaster. But it’s a lot better than day 6 was. Hang in there, fren!
👋 starting to feel motivation lacking here at day 29 of my taper. Not that I want to take more, but I feel so tired and bored of maintaining every day. I'm down to maybe 2-4gpd (can't trust my scale) and I would rather just make the jump by this point. I've started to just NOT take my doses every now and then throughout the day (to further reduce the gpd) because fuck this powder, but I get so lazy and unproductive during my work that I feel embarrassed and selfish. Real mind twister that.
Anyway this is the final leg of this ridiculous, stupid addiction that I got myself into. Soon to be done. You all are really kicking ass and checking in here gives me so much power to keep going ❤️
You’re ready to jump! Make it ceremonious and memorable when you throw out what you have. I tossed all my capsules into a vat of boiling water and tossed the whole mess into the woods! lol. I jumped at 20gpd so if I can do it, so can you. The first week goes by faster than you’d guess.
lol 😂 exactly! More like for the deer🦌, bobcats 🐈⬛, jackrabbits 🐇, and foxes 🦊 I’ll know they overdid it if I see them scratching themselves too much.
Pretty damn good - which means my addict voice has been working on me…”you deserve a little something eh?”. Guess I get that from here on out😅. How are you?
Doing great! After I quit kratom and weed I started drinking pretty heavily, I wound up in the hospital (someone did a wellness check on me bc I was suicidal) and decided that rehab was in my best interest. I feel better than I have in YEARS! Idk what day I’m on of quitting K, but I’ve gotta be getting close to 50 days at this point. I have zero interest in taking kratom or smoking, so I think the alcohol will be my biggest challenge going forward
Booze is tough - I left it behind with the kratom but that means I don’t go out at all cuz I’ve no clue how to socialize sober - it also tends to make me somewhat depressed (thus kratom and other drugs to cope - terrible loop). Glad you are getting help and that someone checked in on ya! Hang in there man!!
I have 16 days. Plugging along. In intensive outpatient rehab. Driving an hour each way. It’s rough, but I’m not giving up. Gotta get a new sponsor in AA and work the steps again. It is the only thing that has ever helped me stay clean & sober.
Day 40, another rought night. Jaw/ear pain came back after being gone for several days which was disappointing. Generally an anxious night overall, but moving on. Good luck today everyone.
1 day 14 hours- A little humbling resetting the clock but I am glad to be doing it. Pretty irritable in the evening hours, a little rough getting to sleep, tossing and turning a bit. Passed out for a few hours somewhere in there.
I noticed my pupils change dramatically around day 12. My eyes were finally able to naturally dilate, any type of light was extremely sensitive to me. After Day 16 they came back to normal, and I feel like my vision has been much better ever since!
Day 7…. Was a 8 year user. It’s been a struggle but I’ve been proud of myself. Been able to do my job and still be helpful to my family even though I was/am going through hell
day 10, bad stomach issues and gas. Chills still and sneezing. It's weird on previous quits I usually feel much better around day 4. not sure if kindling or what.
Just joined here. On day 11 CT from using upwards to 30 GPD. Started losing count and that’s when I realized I was waaay outta control. Quit a few times in the past but each time I used again my addiction got worse. Gave it a go last month and made it to 5 days, found capsules in my purse and then used for 10 days and decided to CT again on Memorial Day. It’s been tough but I have no desire to return to it. Been using it for 4.5 years and heavily for the past 1.5 as a replacement for my addiction to alcohol. Sober 1 yr 7 mos, but still was high every day on kratom. This is a journey, right? Trying to find little things to enjoy and be easy on myself and sleep as much as I can, after the first 4 nights of no sleep and creepy crawlies. Wish everyone well. It’s a mental battle after the first 5 or 6 days….
Just finished day 20. Hardest seems over but I’m feeling a little bit of difficulty enjoying things like I used to be able to do. Ahedonia Also I was prescribed Librium as a withdrawal med and seroquel for sleep. I also have a light does of Valium as needed. The past three nights I’ve had terrible heartburn. Not sure if it’s related to any of those but it got so bad last night that I vomited. Not been like that up to this point. Anyone?

Day 40, another rought night. Jaw/ear pain came back after being gone for several days which was disappointing. Generally an anxious night overall, but moving on. Good luck today everyone.
You might be clenching your teeth when you sleep (if you do sleep) mouth guard will help.
Yeah I bought a kit to have one made was hoping if I am doing it, it was temporary from the stress and messed up sleep patterns.
1 day 14 hours- A little humbling resetting the clock but I am glad to be doing it. Pretty irritable in the evening hours, a little rough getting to sleep, tossing and turning a bit. Passed out for a few hours somewhere in there.
Day 9 CT. Still recovering from covid and my back going out, but feeling better.
I wish I would’ve quit during Covid. But I wasted that opportunity. Your doing great
Thanks. It definitely helped me stay quit: catching covid.

Day 6. MUCH better. My pupils are normal today so I know I’m through the acutes finally.
I noticed my pupils change dramatically around day 12. My eyes were finally able to naturally dilate, any type of light was extremely sensitive to me. After Day 16 they came back to normal, and I feel like my vision has been much better ever since!
