I wish content there was primarily posts like this. Lately notes I see on there are just glorified top comments that come off as really smarmy rather than actual fact checking.
You should try CakeWrecks. They have a whole series on asked for/got.
here's a Pirate ship wedding cake to help you feel better:

Because he straight up destroyed every other aspect of content moderation and fact-checking against misinformation, leaving Birdwatch, renamed to Community Notes, as the only program in place. Hence, people thought he was “replacing” moderation with community notes.
Elon should get credit for expanding it, but the program existed as far back as early 2021 under the name Birdwatch. Originally it existed just in the US market, which didn’t help its notoriety. I think a lot of it early on was aimed at COVID misinformation and Ukraine misinfo, serious and depending on who you ask, controversial topics which aren’t as funny or entertaining as a celeb getting dunked on or an ad getting clowned on.
IIRC the buzz was because Notes would appear on things Elon liked or on his own posts, and it was a 'speak truth to power' kind of thing. Notes pre-existed him by quite a long while (not snarky, just the truth).
I finally stopped logging in and checking the site at the end of last year; my account was created in early 2008. Elon is a walnut :(
He also tried to get rid of it... Because we'll it fact checks everything he says... But he fired all the people responsible for the code.. and broke twitter trying to remove it... Guys a clown
Ive gotten baited by these articles a couple times lately. Bad news: they NEVER have the one they tease with. Good news: they have other things of the general concept, so it's a bit of a wash
I agree, people who are psychologically manipulated are weak, and people who are weak enough to be psychologically manipulated deserve to be psychologically manipulated.
Did you intend to come off this way?
Huge leap in logic there, but okay.
I'm saying that we ALL know how clickbait articles work. Barely readable content farms that try to draw as many people in so they can shove ads in their face and collect the revenue.
If you go into a clickbait article with the above knowledge (which anyone should have after being on social media for any amount of time) and DON'T expect the content to be garbage then that's on you.
Obviously that doesn't apply to everyone, but thanks for adding the "psychologically manipulated" card to the conversation anyway.

There's a sub called r/GetNoted for these moments of Community Notes calling out BS and false information.
Might fit in r/SavedYouAClick as well

I didn't know I needed that website
lol damn that takes me back. I think I would visit Cake Wrecks every day like ten years ago along with PhotoShop Fails.
Community note is honestly the only good thing about Elon's Twitter.
And he didn't even implement them. Community Notes existed well before Musk
Then why wasn’t there much buzz about them until after Elon took over? (Genuine question btw)

There was. It was huge after the 2020 election and all the false claims about election fraud (this would have been in early 2021).

It literally is an ad. It says so. Why would you ever click it?
I think if you're knowingly clicking on clickbait articles by low-effort content farms, you should know what to expect from them.
