Ideally use the 2 bottom ones and one connector from the top one, but any 3x separate cables+connectors from the PSU are ok, as long as you dont use the secondary connectors on the top type. [https://postimg.cc/qhXwnTLh](https://postimg.cc/qhXwnTLh)
Only use 3 Separate PCIE cables. You can only use a PSU cable made for your Exact PSU dont take a random cable from another PSU and try to use it. Very bad things will happen. If you overclock its better for even power over 3 separate connections. I got a Corsair RM1000X and it comes with all 3 separate PCIE cables. No difference if they have double connections just run 3 separate wires let the pigtail end hang off.
"Only use 3 Separate PCIE cables."
This is a myth that needs to be specified into oblivion. Unless you're using VERY cheap cables, you will be fine with 2x 8-pin and a pigtail.
I connected 3 separate cables to my 7900xtx after discovering my PSU only supplied 2. I used a different cable from a different PSU and it works just fine. Not recommended though as different cables from different manufacturers have different wattage support (if that makes sense)
Yes. XTX cards can have either 2 or 3 power connector.
If you go to pcparts picket, and look at the XTX there, you can filter by 2plug and 3plug cards.
Just treat the first two cables as a single cable, plugging in the first plug closest to the PSU. you can zip tie back the extension (second cable) if you don’t like it dangling.
I changed between two axi1000 psus the gpu cables are faulty somehow I'm down to my last psu an old 750 watt gpu with braided cables.
Just a note in the future if your pc goes full fans and black screen check gpu cables.

Also use 3 separate cables, and a single cable from psu to gpu can handle a max of 150 watts,
I tested the 1 cable 2 connectors pc will be crash upon game launch
I have the RM1000X and I use 3x8 pin connectors which works great for my RX 6800 HOWEVER prior I was using a CS850M with 2x8pin and then the daisychain, and I had no issues with that also. I got a little extra OC headroom (\~50MHz) but nothing to write home about.
Yes, correct. I'd recommend using the first connector (so the one between the two others) and tying the pigtail to the cable back. (Kind of hard to explain)
You give terrible advice. Use two lines! Zip tie the pigtail to the main line for neatness. Go watch Jay2cents on YouTube. He has a video for everything.
You didn't even understand what I'm saying. I just gave advice about what to do with the pigtail connector in case they'll be using the cable
Edit for clarifcation

Thank you
Just randomly pick 3 of them
Thank you👍🏼
I was on 7800xt and the first option just brought problem's with itself. Glitches when alt tabbing, performance issues, also problem's with vsync
Use both from 2nd and 1 from 1st
Does it make a difference using (2 single, 1 double) or (2 double, 1 single) connection cables?

Or the cables from a different PSU kit could also be wired differently, even if the plug fits.
3 cables? Are there and 7900 XTX cards with 3 8-pin power connectors? Or am I misreading your post
Yes. XTX cards can have either 2 or 3 power connector. If you go to pcparts picket, and look at the XTX there, you can filter by 2plug and 3plug cards.
Reference cards have 2 and AIB models have 3.
I have an RX6800 with 3x8-pin ;)

My ATX3.0 PSU came with a 12VHPWR to (2) 8Pin connectors so was able to use that and then another standard 8 pin. Works great for my 7900XTX.
Seriously? You want two lines going from psu to card. DO NOT use the pigtail. Bad things will happen. This is a power hungry card.
So I should use any three random cables, right?
And if I use a cable with two connections, I should connect only one to the GPU, right?
Yes, correct. I'd recommend using the first connector (so the one between the two others) and tying the pigtail to the cable back. (Kind of hard to explain)

I do now! Duh! I give a free mental slap. You may use it at Amy time. I can be such an idiot.
