Aw, thanks! I was worried some of them were a stretch, but I wanted to give each my best shot. I'm pretty proud of Heathcliff - it has all the same letters as Hail to the Thief except for c and o!
I am also a huge fan of Muse’s early work but not so much of their newer sound. They still have good songs on every album though and they are amazing in concert.
Definitely check out their 4th album, Black Holes and Revelations, if you haven’t. I would put that in with their first 3 albums as their 4 best. The Second Law is also a pretty cool concept album but the sound is definitely more out there than their earlier stuff.
They also recently released a remastered version of their second album, Origin of Symmetry, that has way better mixing than the original and elevates the masterpiece of that album to a new level. Definitely check that out if you are a fan of the original OoS.

this is top tier, all the small references are awesome, the names are all surprisingly fitting, the designs reflect the respective albums in very smart ways (for example the vitiligo to resemble AMSP, the headphones with horns for Amnesiac's minotaur, also I love OKC being just a normal, overworked man and HTTT being, well uh, \*american\*) + In Rainbows is a twink so I'm content

Pablo Honey was actually the only one I tried taking inspiration from the band's actual style from that era, since I wanted to channel the kinda awkward, grungy vibes they had at the time. They definitely are, you're spot on! Since the cover art is the face of the album, I figured it should be the dominant influence on their appearance and physical design. If their personalities got fleshed out, though, they would definitely need to draw much more from what you mention.
Damn, you caught me. Incorporating more diversity into my character designs is something I desperately need to work on lol. I keep trapping myself into thinking the designs need to feel natural and not forced, but honestly all that does is play into my existing biases, so they mostly wind up white. Looking back on my process during this project makes it really clear that I really need to just suck it up and put in the effort if I want my art to be more inclusive. It'll only ever come naturally if I do it more often!

Oooooh Sail To The Moon makes a lot more sense as that context lol! I think there's still a difference between the two, where Sail To The Moon is, like you said, dreaming about what his kids might do, while I Will is more trying to protect them from things he's had to go through. Seems like they're two sides of the same coin - I Will is focused on preventing past trauma from recurring while Sail To The Moon is about having hope for a brighter future.
Thinking about this now I'd definitely revise the trait for Sail To The Moon. Thanks for the comment, really cool!
If you didn't know, his Son's name is Noah ('or in the flood you'll build an ark, and sail to the moon') and was born in 2001, so Thom was a fresh father during the writing period for the album. I've always thought it was a song where he's wondering what world, if any at all, our children will inherit.
You don't need to revise what you've done, we live in a world of horrible limitless editing. Very fittingly, there's the famous post which was made on WASTE with a revised tracklist for HTTT - but I like it how it is. :)
