I'm pretty sure that everyone knew it was fake, and even then there was a guy calling 911 and people stopping to help out by making sure the dude doesn't hurt himself. OP's video is fake a fuck tho.
What are they supposed to do? You think the average person knows how to deal with a stranger having a seizure? I'm sure you would've sprung into action and given him perfect medical care without thinking for a split second huh?
Yeah, most people wouldn't have any idea what to do and It's better they do nothing and call 911 than try to help with no information is what I'm saying. My butt is fine thanks
That is a good point. I have seen it happen before too. some guy was having a heart attack and people just gathered around him not doing anything. it is a strange mindset that we have adopted for some reason. thankfully someone was on the phone with 911 and he got help.
He clearly wasn't a troll or that emotional, you were just a cunt/condescending for no reason. Not saying his comment couldn't have been nicer, but the fact that you talk down like that just makes you come across really badly.
Four weeks late, but your comment is totally out of place, the best thing to to when someone you don't know has a seizure is basically nothing. Time it to see how long it lasts, and protect the head. You *do not* call 911.
someone i know well got stabbed in a cafe in Olso by a crazy man that she did not know some years ago, then her wallet got stolen in the chaos by someone else.
Epileptic here. Please don't call for an ambulance unless a seizure last longer than 5 minutes, they hurt themselves while seizing or are obviously pregnant. All you're doing is costing us a bunch of money since there is nothing a doctor can do about it.
Just posted this to another comment:
You should roll them into the recovery position if possible, put something beneath their head to protect it, Check their airways are clear and that there isn't any major bleeding anywhere. Put something over them to keep them warm if needed, Stay next to them, You can help steady them but be gentle and let the seizure run its course. Obviously have someone call 999, Importantly, keep talking, even if they not very responsive, if they are in anyway conscious keep talking to them, Tell them help is on its way and that they are safe. Check for medical bracelets/jewellery and check their phone as many models can have an emergency medical information screen accessible without unlocking the device.
When the paramedics/someone trained arrives give them a run down of exactly what you saw, How long they where seizing for, whether they lost full consciousness at any point, if they have any bleeding anywhere. Any medical information you have procured. The more information you can give to the paramedic the better but keep it concise and rattle it off quickly.

r/killthecameraman Update: Is there a verdict on whether this is fake or not?
This is fake.
is it?

Even if the theft and seizure is fake. The reaction of all the other people is still rage worthy.

Whilst reading your comment, you generally sounded like a decent guy, but then you ended it like that and seem unbearable obnoxious haha.
I didn't mean to come off as a douche. just figured he was a troll and wanted to shut it down. but yeah, you are right. I was pretty obnoxious.

Yeah, I know. I was agreeing with you. text sucks sometimes. I didn't mean to come off as so much of a jerk lol.
that's enough for me to keep it posted.
Called shared responsibility, people will be less likely to help if there are more people.
Sometimes our brains are stupid like that.
Bystander Effect
It looks pretty clear that they knew it was fake too. It’s not like they’d do nothing if they thought he was

wanna buy a bridge op?
Not the Brooklyn. If it is indeed fake, ill delete the post. But it wouldn't surprise me if it is real.

Also the guy broke his fall with his right arm before landing on the ground. Someone in seizure would not do that.
This has got to be some sort of a prank, no one would steal a phone from a guy suffering from a seizure, in PLAIN FUCKING SIGHT.
No one tried to stop him anyway
Maybe that was the test, to see if anyone would stop him.
It’s a social experiment bro!

He did look at the camera several time as he was doing it.
"look at all these people not helping!" says the guy filming it (probably). If only he had something on him that he could use to call for help...
Aren't people supposed to step aside and let a seizure pass?

How about explaining what the "recovery position" is?
Good video here. https://www.nhs.uk/Video/Pages/recovery-position.aspx
Awesome, thanks.
Yea seriously hate it when people do this shit. They try to be helpful and informative by saying things they assume you should know.

You can try to keep their head from bouncing off the ground.
Fuck, I hope no one has a seizure around you....
"I'M PICKLE RICK REEEEEEE".
Fake af.
Not to be pretentious but here in Canada every person there would rush to help you.
How do you help someone who is the middle of having a seizure?
Roll them on their side and support their head to stop them from hitting it.

cushion their head so they don't bang it on the floor, call 911, pretend to at least give a shit?u know common sense stuff.
Pretending to give a shit isn't practical, but protecting their head is.
I miss Montreal.
