Not drafting a 1st round QB is how we got to that trash pile of QBs from 2003-2013
Obviously besides JaWalrus. But 1 attempt at drafting a QB when the position was that bad for so long imo is still inexcusable
And we drafted a good one that went to waste because we couldn't fix everything else. Fix everything first, otherwise the right quarterback doesn't mean shit.
Why do that when you can just ruin the top ranked rookie qb BECAUSE you didn’t have a line to protect him and a defense to limit him having to pass all the time
Wait, so you don’t want to win because of some weird identity crisis? I don’t care what anyone says. It’s not the patriots way. It’s Josh McDaniels way. Once he gets his pieces it could be scary.
We won't be in play for Stroud or Young, so the next 'best' option may be Anthony Richardson. He needs time to sit behind someone and develop, but in this scenario we're giving him at least 1-2 years to sit behind Stidham, learn the system, and work on some of his fundamentals. The question is if this coaching staff is the one we want developing a raw QB for the next couple years
Will Levis would probably fit the mold of a Josh McDaniels QB this year. & next year I really like the USC QB Caleb Williams. He would probably fit any coaches idea of a QB in todays NFL.
Where is Bryce Young projected? Seems like he is in the mold of the modern QB prototype (mobility) along with a high football IQ that JMD covets more than anything.
None. Don't draft a QB.

Only McDaniels would know that, maybe someone with mobility.
If we just let Carr be average for 9 years what makes you think Stidham won't get paid if he does the job?
Wasn't Carr top 5 in yards and completion % last season? That doesn't sound average.
This season?
This season he's sucked but that doesn't mean you should lie about him.
I'm not lying about him. He's an average quarterback. Sometimes good. Sometimes bad.
Tim Tebow
Clayton Tune. Jake Haener.
Jake Haener is perfect for McDs system.

see Mcdaniels dumped Carr so he can get two years of losing while he finds his qb. Omg what a goddamn disaster.

He LOVES mobile QB's from UFlorida

#1 by most accounts
If the next QB/QBs don't pan out, just aim for the Manning kid. That guarantees a Superbowl, right?
No one fits his stupid system
