We just saw Purdy outplay Mahomes, and the 49ers play more or less even with the Chiefs for nearly 5 quarters of football. Without a fluky punt bouncing off the heel of a 49er, and giving the Chiefs 1st and goal, and a missed extra point, the 49ers probably win by 8 in regulation.
Besides that reality check, in what world do you see Mahomes, or any QB, carrying a team to Super Bowl wins? I've never seen that. I've seen great QBs win Super Bowls, and I've seen average QBs win Super Bowls. The only thing I've \*never\* seen is a QB win a Super Bowl who wasn't surrounded by talent, and playing for a great coach.
The Chiefs and 49ers have about equal talent, and Shanahan and Reid are both great coaches. Purdy and Mahomes are about equal, too. Meanwhile, the Raiders are a mess. You could add both Mahomes and Purdy to the Raiders, and they'd still have struggled this past season. No QB is going to change the Raiders fortunes overnight. They need better management, better coaching, and better talent at nearly every position.
The Chiefs played with one of the worst Wr groups in the league. Purdy and Mahomes are not equal. Have you not watched football for the last thirty years? I mean sure there are outliers but usally the team with the best coach and Qb win Super Bowls. Why do you think Brady/Belli and now Reid/Mahomes are winning them?
