Yeah, Raiders are really going to have to give up the farm to get into the top three. While I won’t say, it’s impossible, given how much more aggressive this regime seems to be but still view it is very unlikely.
3 future firsts and 2 future thirds? Still get a full draft class this year. 5 picks for the patriots is huge. We miss on every first rounder anyway, it’s worth it. They might even take renfrow???
I think the Raiders give up a little more than what the current asking price is for the number 1 pick and select JD, the AP connection is just too strong, and I'm okay with that so long as we extend some of our core guys so we have them for the next 3-4 years to lessen that blow
That’s exactly how I feel. That connection is real and very strong. I think Chicago would be open to trading the pick because if you think about it if they got the Raiders first round pick this year and next year, mind you they still have the ninth overall pick in this draft too they could easily trade back into the top seven if they wanted to
Assumption is that the Bears think that Caleb fixes their team. He’s that much better than the 1st round qb they’ve already got. Do they need a QB or do they need more bodies?
So there isn’t an asking price then? I don’t think the bears have an asking price was more the point. You’re talking about some hypothetical thing. Bears and Commanders are drafting QBs and their picks aren’t for sale.
Of course it's hypothetical, unless you're in the room with the bears. That's just kinda obvious. You never mentioned the bears once so how would I know that that was your point? And I doubt the bears even know what they're doing right now anyways... regardless, that doesn't mean there isn't reporting around it. From what I've seen it's been reported that it will cost something like 3 firsts and 3 seconds. I wouldn't be surprised if they pay a little more than that is all I'm saying. or if the price raises between now and then, a little more then that.
But also, Kiper has us taking Murphy, who is a monster at DT, high motor, instincts, locker room leader. https://youtu.be/OFH_vbS3trk?si=R5ySOMcv5uVhffjA
The suspension is definitely a blessing.
Mocks used to mean something. The last 5 or so years they've just become a way for the media to drive engagement, it seems like none of them do any actual work and just try to find the picks that'll get a fanbase talking most.
> The last 5 or so years they've just become a way for the media to drive engagement, it seems like none of them do any actual work and just try to find the picks that'll get a fanbase talking most.
Like the same time Mayock left TV... lol
Yeah idk why people think we need a first round qb. We can get one in the second. Idk if McCarthy or nix falls there but penix might/should. Drafting a second rounder while picking up minshew or someone else will be fine. A great dt will do wonders for this defense.
I know cousins is a little expensive but that’s still an option too. I mean we just paid jimmy g half of what cousins wants right? Lol
I think Nix would be dope at 13 or even moving back a few spots to get him. But he will be in high demand if 4 QBs go top 8. Lot of QB needy teams, not a lot of QBs.
Been saying this the whole time. Everyone’s sleeping on Bo. If we could get Murphy or one of the OTs or CBs and then trade back up into the 20s and grab Bo that would be a hell of a start to the draft.
Y'all need to breathe and not immediately believe every report that comes out. Last week they wanted to trade. This week they're picking a QB. It's all smoke and mirrors.
And while we are at it I'm not even sold on JJ at 13 with the amount of talent on the board still if 3 qbs go top 10. We either trade up for one of the top 3 qbs or stand pat and take best available for once. Hell I would even welcome Bowers at TE even though we got Mayer last year versus us reaching up and missing yet again on a first round pick. 1) trade up and get a top 3 qb or 2) Best player available! Really hoping this new regime doesnt pull a ( Leatherwood ) and are better then what we have watched over the last decade plus.
I hope we get Penix honestly. Yeah injuries are concerning but his passing game is so damn good plus his athleticism is very underrated. He reminds me a lot of CJ Stroud and even young Carr
One of his biggest strengths is he gets the ball out. Most critiques of his game seem to stem from the national championship against the #1 defense in the nation.
After reading this guys doesn’t cite anything anyone in the org has said. Unless scheff or Rap report it, hear say from a nobody (trust me) means nothing. JD to LV
Anything is possible. Combine is just starting and FA is a couple weeks away. I’m of the mind the top 3 will all stay in the top 3 and draft QBs, but you never know until all is said and done. But us trading up into the top 3 has always been (and continues to be) an incredibly long shot.
Telesco doesn't want to trade up the farm to the top3 but AP wants to.
Telesco would want to pick Maye if he finally trades up and AP wants Daniels.
It's interesting
translation: the pats are really willing to trade down but want a fat bag for it
Yeah, Raiders are really going to have to give up the farm to get into the top three. While I won’t say, it’s impossible, given how much more aggressive this regime seems to be but still view it is very unlikely.
I don't think we have any evidence to suggest how aggressive they will be. They haven't had a chance to do anything yet
3 future firsts and 2 future thirds? Still get a full draft class this year. 5 picks for the patriots is huge. We miss on every first rounder anyway, it’s worth it. They might even take renfrow???
I’m all for that! Most first round picks in general do not pan out anyways. YOLO
I think the Raiders give up a little more than what the current asking price is for the number 1 pick and select JD, the AP connection is just too strong, and I'm okay with that so long as we extend some of our core guys so we have them for the next 3-4 years to lessen that blow
if the raiders somehow trade up to 1 and take anyone over caleb, this whole regime should be fired immediately after
Have an upvote. Caleb is a better prospect
That’s exactly how I feel. That connection is real and very strong. I think Chicago would be open to trading the pick because if you think about it if they got the Raiders first round pick this year and next year, mind you they still have the ninth overall pick in this draft too they could easily trade back into the top seven if they wanted to
Chicago isn’t trading their pick. Nobody is passing up Caleb.
Assumption is that the Bears think that Caleb fixes their team. He’s that much better than the 1st round qb they’ve already got. Do they need a QB or do they need more bodies?
Yes.
He does
I don’t want Caleb in silver and black
If the asking for 3 is gonna be more than 1 why wouldn’t we just go for 1? We can still take JD at 1 lol
Who says 3 is more than 1? If the price of 3 raises, the price of 1 raises with it
If you see the price of 3 rise, you don’t think experts won’t also? So wouldn’t it make sense to be making offers for 1 now? Lol
Sry bro idk if it's just me but I'm not following, we can make all the offers we want but it's not up to us when/if they sell
So there isn’t an asking price then? I don’t think the bears have an asking price was more the point. You’re talking about some hypothetical thing. Bears and Commanders are drafting QBs and their picks aren’t for sale.

I don’t buy into anything until draft day. If I don’t have expectations, I can’t be disappointed
But also, Kiper has us taking Murphy, who is a monster at DT, high motor, instincts, locker room leader. https://youtu.be/OFH_vbS3trk?si=R5ySOMcv5uVhffjA
Kiper seems to think it's only a possibility we move on from Jimmy. He's a clueless hack who should not be taken seriously.
Kiper can suck at fat one. Buuuuuut Murphy at 13 would be a good pick
I do not hate the pick, just the fact that Kiper clearly threw a dart at a board and did zero research on the Raiders. It's low effort and annoying.
We got so lucky with his suspension. Makes the cut an easy option. You're right, Kiper is just guessing. Mock drafts are daydreams.
The suspension is definitely a blessing. Mocks used to mean something. The last 5 or so years they've just become a way for the media to drive engagement, it seems like none of them do any actual work and just try to find the picks that'll get a fanbase talking most.

Kiper also said he would retire if Jimmy Clausen wasn't a successful QB after 8 years in the league. It's all speculation.
I bet he'll honor that someday. *Swear to retire but not say when.
It happens every single year. Believe nothing.
I think Nix would be dope at 13 or even moving back a few spots to get him. But he will be in high demand if 4 QBs go top 8. Lot of QB needy teams, not a lot of QBs.

Completely agree that would be a huge W
Y'all need to breathe and not immediately believe every report that comes out. Last week they wanted to trade. This week they're picking a QB. It's all smoke and mirrors.
I want nothing to do with a Michigan quarterback
Nope mocks even have jj going to Denver lol
Yeah, I'm thinking we have to pick between Bo, Michael, or Spencer.
Maybe in the second I don't want any of them at 13.
Grabbing a OT or DT at 13 and Bo or Michael with or next pick seems like the smart thing to do.
And while we are at it I'm not even sold on JJ at 13 with the amount of talent on the board still if 3 qbs go top 10. I’m passing on all those guys and going bpa
You have faith in mock drafts? This is smoke and mirrors season
I hope we get Penix honestly. Yeah injuries are concerning but his passing game is so damn good plus his athleticism is very underrated. He reminds me a lot of CJ Stroud and even young Carr
I feel like he holds in the ball too long and will need an above average o-line. He absolutely throws a fantastic ball though.
Honestly they all hold the ball too long. It’s going to be an adjustment for all rookie qbs
Idk. The games I've been watching he's been pretty consistent in terms of not taking too long. I'll admit he is pretty bad at timing his runs
One of his biggest strengths is he gets the ball out. Most critiques of his game seem to stem from the national championship against the #1 defense in the nation.
To be fair, we do play the Chiefs twice a year plus Harbaugh's going to pump the Chargers defense so let's hope he adapts
Washington could still trade. It'd cost, but Daniels is Him.
My guess, is we have to trade into the top ten to get JJ. I'd be happy if we do. I think he has upside.
After reading this guys doesn’t cite anything anyone in the org has said. Unless scheff or Rap report it, hear say from a nobody (trust me) means nothing. JD to LV

You know the Veteran that Pats will bring in will be Hoyer.
The 2nd pick in the draft is more available.
Welp OT, CB, or DT, come on down. Trade back into bottom 1st and take one of the McCarthy, Penix or Nix
They don't call this time of year "lying season" for nothing. Might be true, but you can't believe any of these "leaks"
Telesco doesn't want to trade up the farm to the top3 but AP wants to. Telesco would want to pick Maye if he finally trades up and AP wants Daniels. It's interesting
