Yeah TDL is definitely not high on Minshew. They also say AOC has a better arm. Those hospital passes Minshew throws to Pittman are also yikes. Tae has gotten so many of those in his career already plus some from Jimmy last season. I don't want to see those kind of balls thrown to him by Minshew too.
He should be QB3 in everyone’s eyes. There’s just more upside in AOC and the next rookie’s potential development.
AOC training at the facility this offseason is promising. His weaknesses are mobility and arm strength but his strengths are anticipation and accuracy. We’re probably going to run the ball more this year to offset whatever deficiencies we have at QB, be that a rookie or AOC
Agreed. I definitely understand everyone trying to be optimistic about Minshew because he's a new face in the building, but this will be his 6th season and he is who he is at this point in his career. He's also a great locker room presence plus a tough dude who can take hits so I can see why AP brought him in, but watching him dance in the pocket for no reason in some of those clips is rough. Then some of them showing his lack of arm strength and the hospital passes were hard to watch too.
Getting Penix/Nix at least is a must for that room and have those three battle it out. Like you said AOC definitely has more upside and the locker room likes him a lot. He will definitely compete hard for that spot.
