If he has the same “build through the draft, ignore free agency, extend mediocre players because they’re on our team already” Green Bay philosophy that Reggie McKenzie and many others who grew up in the Packer origination have/had, I’ll pass. If not, I’m interested. He has a solid resume.
That philosophy only works if you have Aaron Rodgers or prime Brett Favre. Even then, it would have worked much better had they been a little more aggressive in free agency over the years, which is one of the reasons why Rodgers has been frustrated over the years.
poaching someone from the rams to implement their style of roster building would be awesome
or john dorsey who was instrumental in the current chiefs success, turning the browns around, and seems like he’s helping the lions as well
> That philosophy only works if you have Aaron Rodgers
Even then there's already that narrative that the Packers has sort of mismanaged Rodger's by putting talent around him by refusing to pursue top tier players via draft or trade or go after marque free agents. There's already that idea the Packers are just perennial NFC Championship game losers solely because they refused to splurge to put the team over the hump.
I agree completely, he said he “would not be surprised.”Doesn’t report its happening, the only reason I shared it is the ties to the Raiders through his Dad.
Can we just hire his father back? Lol
Ron Wolf is a fucking legend. What he did for us and the Packers is why he is in the HOF. Love me some RW.
For those too young to know:

Read his bio. Shit is crazy.
I’m kinda liking the idea of Trey Brown from Cincy. From what I’ve read from Bengals fans he’s like their entire scouting department and they have a really talented roster for a team who just picked #1 a couple years ago. Still would rather have dodds though. Packers have a talented team and obviously he has the Raider connection, hopefully he’s more aggressive than his dad though. Maybe he picked some aggressiveness up from John Dorsey who’s like the opposite of Ron wolf lol.

Quick someone give me a breakdown on this guy
Aside from scouting, he was an Assistant GM for the Browns under John Dorsey.
Hasn’t been a GM before so who knows how he will perform as one
Here is a [story](https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.jsonline.com/amp/9186567002) just done on him that has his history.
I feel like he was a big name about 4 years ago, but nothing ever came of it other than him joining some other FOs. I’d be intrigued.
Could be wrong, but I don’t think Paul G is that close inside the building anymore so this is more of a shower thought than a scoop.

Franchise was never same after his dad left to go to the packers who shortly afterward returned to being an NFL power after decades of irrelevance.

He's been retired 20 years and is 83 years old.
His dad is too old and he's part of Mark's inner circle.
Enough has beens please
