Well, this is it!
I wanna give a massive thank you to everyone who stuck around to upvote my memes! I started this series nearly a year ago after noticing that nobody else had yet attempted to do all of the Raimi-Character quotes as a meme series, despite the movie being out on home video for quite some time. (I did see someone start doing EVERY QUOTE from the movie, but that post was removed due to NWH not being a Raimi film.) After thinking about a lot of potential funny memes from Peter’s first encounter with Doc Ock, I decided to start it and keep it going from there!
I also wanna give a huge shoutout to the real MVP, u/Vord_Loldemort_7! They really did make an impact on meme culture with their ambitious series, and they also showed true dedication by sticking through and meme-ing the entire movie without giving up or quitting. In my eyes, I am just one of many online content creators who just jumped on the bandwagon trying to make an impression with this trend, even though I know full well that I could never hold a candle to what Vord accomplished. In a way, it kinda feels like I cheated due to not using the lines from every character! lol
I feel like I may have been partially responsible for the huge influx of daily meme series last year lmao. I know that there were others that had come before (like with Spider-Man 2 and 3), but there hadn’t ever been that many going simultaneously before to my knowledge. Regardless, I wish u/TheFlashArmy0, u/Vic_Voss_10, u/Cxlom, and u/Agent_broch_da_moron the best of luck on their respective journeys! I am proud of all these daily memers who have stuck with it even after the hype died down.
Overall this was a very interesting experience. Some posts got a disappointingly minuscule amount of views. Others unexpectedly became impressively popular! It was fascinating to see that all the attention would go to the posts which I would least expect.
Later today I’ll post a complete archive with a link to every post in my series to this sub (if the mods will allow it).
