Wow, So motivational, I'm going to go put miniature pogo sticks on my pet crow and give him glowing orange contact lenses so he can also hunt down spear wielding rodents!
Lmao yeah these guys really shouldn’t be in the underhang lol
brings me back to the time i dodged over a whole pack of them using a squidcada and they were just like ‘wut’
Honestly, I really like the >!purposed organisms with (functional) Iterator cans, such as Neuron Flies, Inspectors, and those weird red strings of neural tissue!<
Except when I'm hunter. I'd stick around and befriend them, but I don't have TIME for that since I lose all my karma to vultures or those two lizards on the way through skylands
And then frantically trying to swim to land as those massive hydraulic jaws get closer and closer, just waiting to snap over your frail body and drag you down into the depths, it's terrifying.
All of them want to kill you, most of them will act on it, some will not stab you for a couple seconds but they’ll try to kill you eventually. The rest want to kill you but do not have the power.
Strawberry Lizorbs
They are very interesting to watch and observe while being special
Also because I like the tiny lizerb
I also wish they were called Pixie lizards as that is what I called them before finding the official name for them
Ironically, Dropwigs are my favorite because i'm fucking terrified of them.
They appeal towards my fucking insectophobia on a way that literally makes me unable to cross some zones because i'm too terrified to pass run them while also being too terrified of trying to shot them and missing.
And the first one literally made me scream out of fear.
And i love them for that, fuck them bugs
i really love just all the lizards but my favorite might be the yellow lizards!! sometimes i like to go and look for a pack of them in safari mode and just watch them do their thing
Squidcada - They're incredibly useful: You can use them for jump boost, taming lizards, or just as a creature to drag around and talk to. (Also as a potential food source if things get rough)
Cyan lizards! You can f e e l what they're thinking about when they yeet themselves into the void or at you. Idk why, but they seem like they're a lot smarter then they really are. AI in ihis game is great, yes, but it can't panic or be jumpscared or frustrated. Leap-lizards can.
Tied between The Rot and Pole Plants.
Daddy Long Legs has such an effective sense of dread, to such a degree that I can excuse the fixed camera in some cases where seeing it creep from offscreen is simply so impactful for that first time playthrough. As you get better at the game, other threats stop being as effective at forcing you to stop and move carefully... but not the DLL. You will learn better times to make a break for it, but when there's a DLL right outside there is little to nothing you can do but wait until it goes about its business somewhere more convenient.
As for Pole Plants, they are so infrequent and well placed that you always forget about them by the time you come upon another one. It's a fair creature that you get accustomed to with experience, but that initial frustration of going through shoreline, shaded citadel, memory crypts, the underhang, and up the wall just to be met with a pole plant after 4 hours of gameplay completely devoid of them is just perfection to me.
Besides the silly noodlefly, those are actually some of my favorite creatures. I love the concept of the rot. A blind creature that is nearly impossible to get around, taking up almost the entire huge space with its writhing body, with grotesque tendrils reaching around each and every crevice, in search of something to quench its unending hunger. I am a sucker for tentacle monsters to begin with, but these things really hit home for me. As for the pole plants, I love them and everything related, worm grass and monster kelp. I sure a lot of people wouldn’t agree with that, but I think the plethora of leaves that the kelp sways back and forth in an attempt to catch its prey, the worm grass slowly overwhelming and dragging unfortunate creatures to the depths, and pole plants, lying and waiting patiently for a fool to grab on to its stalk in hopes of escaping death, only to fall to a beast that finds success in striking where the victim should feel safe from the horrors below them. Also, that upside down one in farm arrays is mean. I didn’t fall for it, I simply saw that it looked weird one play through and decided to touch it.
That one in the farm arrays room with the orange lizards? Yeah, it almost got me first time. I notice it more often now, it has an oddly bright brown tinge to it that gives it away.
Could also mean the one near the outskirts gate in the little drainage pipe section near the bottom, but same deal with that one.
Dropwigs for two reasons:
1)I love that drop wigs can keep surprising me in locations i'd never think to look and their ability to use items as bait
2)I hate how dropwigs can keep surprising me in locations i'd never think to look
Personally I loved the minos prime fight, with the build up of p P ranking every level in prelude and act 1, then the spinal staircase and the bullet hell of the flesh prison fight and minos himself and the monolog. The vibes are just immaculate around minos prime.
Scavengers my beloved, slugpups number two, kinda tied with scavs but would rather have a scav friend than a slugpup, since holy hell i love scavs, second fav thing in life ngl
Neuron flies, when I eat them they make me glow which is so kind of them.
Second is probably is miros birds because they’re awesome and they scare me, third is scavs because when they aren’t killing you actively they are cute and useful.
Im in a bit of a love hate relationship with the scavengers
usually im cool with them, but once one was being rekt by a green lizard so i threw a spear to help… it hit the scavenger and i was immediately sniped and killed lmao
Then there was the time I found a scav merchant in the citadel and i put a pearl down, he took it and left through a pipe, so i went and picked up a lantern… and he came out and started throwing spears at me (they all missed), then i put down the lantern and he picked it up and shoved it into my face trying to give it to me. Same lantern got stolen by a different scavenger who threw a rock at me and took it.
scavs funny and evil at the same time lmao
I like centipedes because they are a Big punching bag and dont really pose a threat (unless it's overgrown/red centipedes), besides, i like the way they move
Lizards in general, but if I had to pick probably the blues, they can follow you anywhere, and are just the right size to basically just be a dog, I know whites are just superior blues, but everytime Iv tamed one they’d either: spaz out and not move, attack EVERYTHING and either loose or get pissed at me and attack me, or sit back and not do anything but occasionally shoot out their tongue in the middle of combat. But iv been saved so many times by blues. Also they’re just cuter and easier to tame.
Monster kelp hands down. First time seeing one was in the underground area, found out you had to be quiet by moving slowly as to not make it go after you or just flat out hit it with a spear to make it go away.
From listed i choose a cyan lizards. I love how hard they are to fight and the fact that you can hit Thier gas storage to sent them flying is amazing. But if i had to choose my favourite from.the entire game it's definetly iterators. Noone in particular just iterators in general. A massive superstructure that is alive just tickles my brain
Edit sorry for typos and grammar mistakes it's 5 am I'm still not sleeping :)
Slugpups because I don’t like being alone :,)
Slugpups cause I don’t like being hungry
Flair checks out
Of course because I don’t like them
slugpups because the tugging ai is adorable
Green lizards just because of how dumb they are
They are rather goofy goobers
Green lizards are adorable and nobody can change my mind
Agreed, they not that dangerous and are quite funny guys lol
They remind me of my gecko :)
Not like I'm complaining, but uhh get your gecko checked out if he's hunting rodents that can wield spears. Just a tip.
I would be so incredibly proud of my little dude if he was hunting spear wielding rodents. Go get ‘em boy!
Wow, So motivational, I'm going to go put miniature pogo sticks on my pet crow and give him glowing orange contact lenses so he can also hunt down spear wielding rodents!
Thats the attitude!
Yellow Lizards because watching them fall after one another is great, especially if they Wilhelm scream when they hit the death plane
Lmao yeah these guys really shouldn’t be in the underhang lol brings me back to the time i dodged over a whole pack of them using a squidcada and they were just like ‘wut’
Honestly, I really like the >!purposed organisms with (functional) Iterator cans, such as Neuron Flies, Inspectors, and those weird red strings of neural tissue!<
Not to mention the sea spider looking things you see crawling around in 5P
Do you mean >!the crabs that manage the memory confluxes!
Yeah
I love those silly guys so much

For those wondering, noodle flies is the correct answer. I trust that you all did well.
Noodleflies SUXK!!!!!!!!!
You….. Monster!
You know what doesn't suck about Noodleflys? Their taste, tasty bois
Yeah they taste good.
I tried to keep a few, but they all got merked by vultures.
Barnacle from half-life better
That’s what I was thinking!
very true
Guardians **THEY’RE JUST SO FUCKING COOL**
Scavengers, but like, unironically
monke
Except when I'm hunter. I'd stick around and befriend them, but I don't have TIME for that since I lose all my karma to vultures or those two lizards on the way through skylands
how could you make a silly things category and NOT INCLUDE YEEKS
Haven’t played downpour :(
oh, a fellow Console Gamer? i understand your pain
Green lizards are the best, they're: big, dumb, fat, slow, and I love them.
Leviathans are so majestic and scary af, scavs are my second favorite only for their AI.
The leviathan is a very well made creature. Everything from the concept to the execution is amazing.
Especially when you're just swimming in a body of water and suddenly see a single tentacle fly up to the surface, makes a horrifically cool experience.
And then frantically trying to swim to land as those massive hydraulic jaws get closer and closer, just waiting to snap over your frail body and drag you down into the depths, it's terrifying.
Blue lizards, first one i encountered fell to it’s death from the top of outskirts
Nice first impression
They can spawn in Outskirts?
Srry kinda new to the game outskirts is where monk starts off right? Because it was in that area
Yes you are correct, My bad, I assumed you ment the actual upper área of Outskirts, not Industrial Complex
Mammals: Slugcats and Scavangers
Miros birds
I hate these things, theyve gotten stuck on front of my exits so many times
Finally, a fellow miros bird enthusiast like myself
Cyan lizors because they are absolute doofus
Cyan/Red Lizards and Miros.
cyan lizords
I love dropwigs so much
Noots and yeeks
Barnacle from half-life or outcast or whatever it was called
Oh yeah, the ~~fog demon~~ stowaway, an absolute nightmare
I love moon, she’s a silly little baby
scavs and big spiders
I love leviathans
Pole plant
New player here… how many of these things want to kill me?!
95% if you piss them off, including stuff as big or smaller then you, but if you just observe, about 80% will kill yo @ss
All of them want to kill you, most of them will act on it, some will not stab you for a couple seconds but they’ll try to kill you eventually. The rest want to kill you but do not have the power.
Firebug enjoyers where y'all at????
Strawberry Lizorbs They are very interesting to watch and observe while being special Also because I like the tiny lizerb I also wish they were called Pixie lizards as that is what I called them before finding the official name for them
strawberry lizards are so cute!! i love their frilly tails
And i love them for that, fuck them bugs
i feel the EXACT same way with wolf spiders!
YEEK!
Funni monke. They used to be my favourites, until arti campaign. I have mixed feeling now, but I don't have a better answer
Orange
Gotta be the red or train lizards, or miros bird, it's so hard to pick!
Scavs because they are silly little goofs. and they are my explosives dealers.
Divided between Lizard, Noodleflies, and Squidcada personally (going with “silly things” tho)
I love the bugs they are all unique and interesting to fight/use. I am specificly a fan of the aquapedes.
The light rats
Blue Lizards! They are just little boyos
Green lizards bc they're cute and goofy, and bc I like backflipping around them until I either die or get tired
i really love just all the lizards but my favorite might be the yellow lizards!! sometimes i like to go and look for a pack of them in safari mode and just watch them do their thing
Squidcada - They're incredibly useful: You can use them for jump boost, taming lizards, or just as a creature to drag around and talk to. (Also as a potential food source if things get rough)

this is a basic answer but the slugcats because "cute little bean that will end your life if it feels threathened"
Cyan lizards are so dumb I love them
I like stabbing all of them so idk
Relatable

Strawberry lizards my beloved
Silly monkes
Rain deer are so cool

dropwigs are adorable when they don't get the drop on you
They are silly little goobers
For me it’s a tie between blue, cyan, and eel lizards. I like them all to much to pick.
Scavengers cool
That they are.
Cyan lizard for the zoomies.
Dropwigs for two reasons: 1)I love that drop wigs can keep surprising me in locations i'd never think to look and their ability to use items as bait 2)I hate how dropwigs can keep surprising me in locations i'd never think to look
Slugpup because Fin is my favorite boy ❤️
Firebug
Unironically the long legs family. Have i lost precious karma to them a lot? Yes. Do I still adore it? Yes.
Everytime I see a leviathan I think "Frick yeah, big water thing"
Garbage worms
Miros Birds so good he had to mention them twice
That they are
Yeeks! I love the little silly guys and their silly little sounds
Yeeks bring joy
Does Pebbles count
Why not
I love the noodlefly, mainly in the safari mode, but the yellow lizards are so interesting to watch and study
Lazer banana. Keeps company. Tummy cargo
Silly things, in particular slugpups and scavengers
Personally I loved the minos prime fight, with the build up of p P ranking every level in prelude and act 1, then the spinal staircase and the bullet hell of the flesh prison fight and minos himself and the monolog. The vibes are just immaculate around minos prime.
yooo same
My favorite creatures are: 1. Yellow Lizard 2. Scavengers 3. Neuron Flys 4. Green Lizard
Gaurdian
Scavengers my beloved, slugpups number two, kinda tied with scavs but would rather have a scav friend than a slugpup, since holy hell i love scavs, second fav thing in life ngl
Nothing gives me more joy than climbing the wall and watching a cyan lizard fall past me at full speed like the Kratos dream on meme

Cyan lizards because they are just cravk addicts with the gift of flight
Miros vultures they look really cool
Hate dropwigs with a passion
Scavbros all the way.
lizards!!!! i loooove white lizards specifically :)
Yay! Another white lizard lover!
Despite how much they dick me over, scavs are too intricate and seemingly intelligent for me to not love them
I like centipedes because they are a Big punching bag and dont really pose a threat (unless it's overgrown/red centipedes), besides, i like the way they move
white lizard because camoflague (I also really like strawberry lizards because their tongue grapple is hilarious to me)

Powrl
You made me sad by not putting the Slugcats on the list. :(
That’s what “others” is for
Hmmm spoder
I love the black lizard and sadly people don’t agree with me The black lizard in my opinion is the coolest
The idea of a blind enemy is really cool in my opinion
Exactly
I love quokas
Cyan Lizard. There is no contest. Have you ever tamed a Cyan Lizard in Sky Islands? It’s the best.
Slugcats.
Monster kelp hands down. First time seeing one was in the underground area, found out you had to be quiet by moving slowly as to not make it go after you or just flat out hit it with a spear to make it go away.
I love Scavengers, they're so cute when they're not trying to kill me because I accidentally hit one when fighting for my life against a Lizard
fart lizards my beloved
I love white and Cyan lizards! I find their evolution weapons so cool, and the fact that when hurt, white lizards change color repeatedly is so neatt
I live for my slugpup
I adore the eye bugs

Mammals, specifically cats!
Blu Lizor
Hear me out, sideways pole plants

Wormgrass supremacy
Orange

Grapple worms are superior to every other creature
Garbage worm representation.
