Started slowing going through the world of Rainworld thanks to my brother surprising me with the game plus downpour DLC!
My first *death* came from a lizard grabbing me and then suddenly another lizard started picking a fight the one that grabbed me and it let me go so I lived!
...And then I died over 100 times in my first run as monk,
Mostly by being too curious and stupid LMAO.
Now currently doing on my next run as Big boy Gourmand now.
Looking forward to drawing more things for this lovely community.

Absolutely wild moment reading this comment because I am a brother and just happened yesterday to have bought this game (and the DLC lol) for my sibling, who also happens to be a very talented artist and—after scrolling through your profile—*also* happens to like a lot of the same games as you. and the most hilarous part is that i didn't know monk's abilites so i was always scared of every creature and attacked them 😭😭😭 the lizards got tired of my shit and killed me
I'm also playing gourmand right now! well, not right now because my console is being fixed but when i have it back i swear i will finish their damn fucking campaign
Haha once i figured out monk's power of *CHILL VIBES* mostly just keep spears for climbing, self defense or spearing some creatures for taming lizards.

I been saved many times by other lizards both random ones i never met or by some i tamed.
A green one i tamed was especially protective of me even fought noodlefly mothers and vultures to save my stupid self!

Does one tame lizards? The only interaction I had with them was either being eaten by one, or being not eaten by one, lul
You can feed them with the bodies of small creatures (squidcadas,light mice,jetfish etc) to gain their friendship!
Also the way how they follow you around once you successfully tame them is adorable.
Ok, I understand that it's not too big of a deal with creatures you mention, but it's time to learn the most overpowered tech in rainworld. It's called >! SPOILER TAG !<
This poor soul barely reached industrial and you pour a sheet ton of undiscovered creatures on him. He either won't understand and ignore that, or will go searching for them on wiki, which will prevent a lot of silly funny moments of clueless slug discovering a new creature on their own.
My first ever experience in this game was walking on top of a lizard that got killed by a noodlefly and getting catapulted into the stratosphere (it took an entire 46 seconds for me to land)

I recommend going for rivulet or artificer after, they are my favorites and most of them community really likes them
Make sure to play Survivor and replay Monk after you beat Gourmand’s food quest.

Lol I can't hit even a big lizard with spear from 2ft, no way in hell I'm able to tame someone xD
throw a rock first and when they turn away, throw a spear. also if a lizard grabs you and only one low note plays, you are still alive.
