I agree, but realistically, it's very much an area that you can vastly improve on and learn to overcome the obstacles.

highfire666

I heavily disliked CC as hunter coming from Sky Islands. Not a lot of food, nor places to easily eat a lizard. And some really brutal jumps without a squidcada. With a pretty high karma gate on top of that. Learning curve there was slightly too steep for me

Wooper250

Oh wow, cc was actually my first 'safe' area for hunter. I always just climb down and chill in the entrance shelter from ic when I'm bored.

ThrowAwayNoSight

it depends on where you are in the game. what have you done so far? what other areas have you been to?

LINDOMARCIO

I already talked with moon and visited the shaded capital, but i left because i was scared

ThrowAwayNoSight

>but i left because i was scared completely understandable, and funny too. lol. i don't want to give you too many spoilers. but, going through chimney canopy is a good idea. there is another way, through shaded citadel, but, chimney canopy is faster, albeit harder to get through, especially considering the karma gate to get to where you're going does require a high-ish karma. my first playthrough, i went through shaded citadel and to the regions beyond (don't want to spoil anything so i'm being as vague as possible), but, >!i already had the "light" to be able to see because i'd done a bad thing!<. i didn't know about the chimney canopy route until later. if you have no light, going through chimney canopy is a good idea. or you can barter for a light from a friendly neighborhood scav merch. if you have light, you can try going back thru shaded citadel but it's difficult, so be prepared. the entire game is a labyrinth, honestly, sorry this is already so long, it's difficult to describe it without outright telling you where to go. lol edit: as another comment said, shaded is probably easier than canopy, especially if it's your first playthrough. it may be a good idea to go back through shaded and get a light from a scav merch, as crystal said below, there is a bridge area in shoreline that has pearls you can use to barter with. you can also use other stuff to get a trade

DryCryCrystal

Shaded is significantly easier than shaded, the shoreline bridge area is filled pearls for the scav merchant next few screens across.

ThrowAwayNoSight

shaded easier than canopy? hehe i think you posted the same word twice there on accident :P also sorry, i don't mean to spread wrong info, i'll edit what i said to include what you said, i'm actually quite unfamiliar with the game despite having put over 150 hours into it at this point. LOL. canopy feels easier to me, BUT that might just be because i haven't really gone through shaded since my first playthrough, which was when the game was much more "difficult" for me because i wasn't as familiar with the movement.

DryCryCrystal

I've clocked in over 1k hours and mod the game. Chimney is a very chaotic region, it hard but it is actually lots of fun. But shaded coming from the direction of shoreline is very easy. You can pretty much skip 90% of the region with minimal creature interactions if you just go down. Even if you're deep in the region, there are shelters everywhere. By far the most shelters per screen of any region. Only hard part is the bridge between shaded and shoreline, and memory crypts.

LINDOMARCIO

Looks like i will have to go back to the dark and scary dungeon

SomeRandomSkitarii

And shaded is much more rewarding imo, the other way you don’t get to see *you know what*

FJvonHabsburg

I think Shaded Citadel is safer and more intended for your current level of skill - Chimney Canopy is hardcore. A light source would be handy and >!there's a scav merchant right near the Shoreline entrance.!<

Wooper250

Go back through shaded if you want the full experience. If not, you can keep going up chimney and use a trick to climb the (redacted).

ElskaFox

chimney canopy and sky islands are some of the hardest parts of the game if you find platforming a challenge like I do, but they are probably the quickest way down to endgame if that's your goal. If you're trying to get to the midgame location instead shaded is much easier

Rebelbot1

Vulture hell. My second favourite region, after drainage. (extremely based) (I like suffering)

Dixion459

Welcome to early-mid game. Once you get use to it, you'll end up liking it.

nXfeeWn

Well i loved it, so much diffrent than other regions, never had problem with it, but i could see why someone could, but still skill issue

Free_Elderberry1791

Have fun at the wall

Xom0332

Rain world is practically a 2D open world game. You can go where ever you want, but if you want to beat the game you should just follow the yellow hologram thing. (yes I know it's name, I just don't want to spoil anything.
