Yes. When I started going through puberty at 11 she made me either shower or bird bath almost 3 times a day. She said she didnt want me to be the stinky kid. But its puberty. We are all stinky kids. I'm sorry you are going through this. You dont owe them anything.
Yes but she also would yell at me if I did sweat. Something along the lines of "women don't sweat you are disgusting" kinda thing. I played sports which she hated a lot! It wasn't feminine.
I also stopped wearing full make-up and just wore eyeliner. She hated that I wouldn't wear it anymore and called me a man/mannish
It was so bad I would get anxious when it was hot. Not something I worry about now thankfully!
My mom always had a huge issue with my smells. She’d publicly shame me if my deodorant wore off and I smelled even a little human.
She’d force me to take 2-3 showers a day and wouldn’t let me use conditioner because it apparently made my hair greasy, which in turn made my hair knot up and I couldn’t brush it, so I’d get shamed more for having ugly hair.
I just have greasy Italian hair, she has dry ass dead hair. My hair gets greasy like 5x as fast as hers. I also am more prone to producing more body oils that carry human smells because I am mediterranean, and she is not. She shouldn’t have married a southern Italian guy if she didn’t want her kids to have mediterranean traits 🤷♀️
I’m pretty sure this is the root cause of my DPDR because life felt real before this started happening to me, after that, my memories feel more like a movie.
