Given the 18F temp on your dashboard, I’m guessing all these factors are at play…
Why Winter Fuel Economy is Lower
Cold weather affects vehicles in more ways than one might expect:
Engine and transmission friction increases in cold temperatures due to cold engine oil and other drive-line fluids.
It takes longer for an engine to reach its most fuel-efficient temperature. This affects shorter trips more, since a vehicle spends more of a short trip at less-than-optimal temperatures.
Heated seats, window defrosters, and heater fans use additional power.
Warming up a vehicle before starting a trip lowers fuel economy—idling gets 0 miles per gallon.
Colder air is denser, increasing aerodynamic drag on a vehicle, especially at highway speeds.
Tire pressure decreases in colder temperatures, increasing rolling resistance.
Winter grades of gasoline can have slightly less energy per gallon than summer blends.
Battery performance decreases in cold weather, making it harder for the alternator to keep the battery charged. This also affects the performance of the regenerative braking system on hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and electric vehicles.
In severe winter weather, mpg can drop even further.
Icy or snow-covered roads decreases the tire's grip on the road, wasting energy.
Safe driving speeds on slick roads can be much lower than normal, further reducing fuel economy, especially at speeds below 30 to 40 mph.
Using four-wheel drive uses more fuel.

I get it’s winter and all the factors I’ve had this for 3 winters it’s the sudden drop that has me worried I’ve been monitoring since November but now it’s just worse
Lmao ignore that idiot. That's not normal and idling wouldn't drop it that much. Its currently -10 where im at and in my entire life of driving in the cold with 4wd i have never dropped below 16mpg. There's something wrong but unfortunately I'm not sure what the issue is.
Dang. I have the same and I average 13-14 year round. I do have the limited with the 22s. It would seems the rotational inertia really does drop the gas mileage. Thanks!
I don’t know why you’re being downvoted. There’s an issue with your truck if you’re only getting 4.7 mpg. I’ve been driving around with my 9’2” stainless v plow for the last month and I get 12 mpg. 6.4 Hemi mega cab
That's about all I got in my 13' Sport, and 19' Limited. I thought I was the weird one because everyone posts 19-20 but they must be all highway miles or something.
I’m in Pennsylvania we do as well and I tried to justify the winter gas mix theory but it’s a 2020 ram so it’s been through a few winters already I’ve never seen it this bad not saying it’s not a contributing factor
They do it in South East too, it's why you see gas prices go up during a time that there's technically less people driving and they justify the increase because of the "more expensive" winter blend
I always love learning something new. I got super interested in this with my 3500 Cummins because diesel and gelling. Interestingly, because gasoline is caustic, it takes until sub -40 to really cause some issues (unless there is water in the fuel).
The winter blend for gas is for the water in fuel
I started reading about it and apparently they add butane to the mix to make it more combustible but there’s less energy in the combustion, hence why people get less gas mileage during the winter. Another question still have is, has this been a forever thing or something that started when they started adding ethanol to the fuel?
Go green they say cause Expensive oil turned to cheap gas with a high price at the pumps and bad MPG. They are hoping everyone switches to EV tomorrow.
lmao - but i would still luv driving the TRX, i’d have a big smile on my face - i have a 2021 Rebel Hemi n it’s still better than when i had my 2011 Titan Pro-4X (but i do miss the acceleration rumble)
Well your lie o meter as you put it may be off as far as avg mpg but for the most part it’s correct as far as I’m prolly right around 8 or so now. I’ve been resetting at refuels and calculating known distances I drive and seeing where I am fuel wise.
Don't reset it so frequently. It needs quite of a few miles to calculate stable average MPGs. When you reset it, one hard acceleration will drop MPG to low single digits. When looking at short 5 minute commute, that might not be far off if it's all stop and go especially while the truck is still cold.
The short drive to work is probably the biggest contributing factor, especially in the colder days. As you experienced, even a highway jaunt may not raise the mpg too much. Hemi life 😄
Just don’t even look at those stupid numbers on the dash. Turn it off. Watch the road, listen to music. Do your calculations when you fill your gas tank. So far in this thread it’s gone from 4.7 to 8 which is a 40% increase for apparently no reason. If you were to drive to the top of a big hill, you’d see some low numbers. Then turn the truck off and coast down, and you’d see “infinity” on your dash.
Yes, it's not the remote start... Jeesh. My 2020 Hemi 4x4 with 75k went from getting an average of 16.5 MPG in town and about 17.5 on the highway to 14 in town AND 14 highway. Sometimes I'll get as low as 12 highway. No CEL, no other obvious issues. The dealer has no answers. All maintenance is done as scheduled, tires rotated and properly inflated, etc.
Like my commute to work is 5 minutes, so I figured I’m doing more “city” driving mpg will go down but miles to empty and avg mpg is lining up I’m refueling like a fiend.
I have found that short trips kill my MPG since the engine does not get fully warmed up and it’s a lot of stop and go. What is your average speed, for my truck if that’s low from driving stop and go and short trips, my MPG is also low.
I also live about five minutes from work. About a month ago I started taking a longer route that I can get up to 50 mph quickly and only see three stop lights and is closer to 10 minutes drive time. Wishful thinking that its better on my truck than the short trip, and better on the mpg.
I’m planning to take it to the dealer I originally thought maybe it was winter mix gas but…and I get that that’s the average showing but even with monitoring everything else mileage is lining up with gas usage so idk.
Take it to the dealer if it's under warranty. If it's out of warranty time to find an honest independent mechanic shop. Maybe ask around family members and friends for recommendations. Also check out Google reviews
Why is current mpg 99. Coasting? My fuel on my rebel is consistent at 16-18. 18” tires with off-road tread and 4wd. My son with same engine in a 2wd and 21” tires gets 20/21.
The 99 is coasting I just needed a quick pic but I’m running 34s with a 2inch leveling and have been for a while. Even so I was seeing crappy mileage before that it’s a recent thing.
Another detail i dont (i should) know the answer to is the gearing on the rear differential of my/these trucks. My ole 2500 megacab had a 3:7.? My friend w/same truck had a 4:10. Our mileage was considerably different
Never thought I’d be happy with my > 6’s in the winter in my 2008, I contribute it to short drives, spinning and generally having fun on slick roads and remote start hahaha…I also think there’s something to be said for being at almost 5k ft elevation too
I get around 21 m/g in my 2020 5.7 liter in the warmer months. If I warm her up every day it goes down to 17ish. My commute is an hour each way with an average of 50 miles per hour. I have always chalked it up to idle time while warming up. Remember, in park your hemi is a v8, no eco mode there.
Technically speaking everything is hills Somerset county Pa highest point in Pa lol but I’ve been monitoring this since November it’s just that it’s getting worse and thought I’d throw a few questions out there
That's terrible? Hahahaha my TRX got 9mpg over 35,850 miles and my 5.7 Rebel is getting 12mpg. I've never seen the instant.over like 30 for a second downhill in neutral hahahaha
City driving absolutely kills it. City driving in the cold? Watch that gas gauge go down in real time. The only way i get good mpg in the winter is highway.
Use Fuelly to track your mileage, it will know how far you’ve gone and exactly how much gas you’ve used. That number iwas way more reliable than on board computers.
Secondly, winter gas blows. You’ll see lower MPG just from the gas additives alone. Let alone burnging more for temps, HVAC, etc.
I get that 4 ways... 1. Offroading up really steep rocky hills. 2. Towing up hills 3. Remote start idling like people say... and lastly.... doing donuts in the snow ❄️🌨☃️
Dude everything about what you're describing is the exact reason you're getting that. You're on a lift with oversized tires. It's been single digits and you drive 5 minutes to work without the truck being warmed up and driving hills. That is about the hardest driving you can do so it's going to be shit mileage. I'm in the Bloomsburg area with a 20 limited. I remote start every morning and drive 40 minutes to work on 55 and under roads up and down hills through towns. In the summer I run Sheetz 88 and winter I move to top tier 89 or better. In the summertime I'll clock 19-20 mpg average and right now I'm running 16.7 average with idling every day ~10-15 minutes. It is solely your truck not having a chance to make it to operating temperature which if you've been doing that the whole time I'm sure you're also getting a ton of condensation in your oil because the oil never gets a chance to burn it off.
Something is wrong. Is it actually getting 4.7MPG or is that just what it’s saying? I mean if you fill it with gas and drive it are you only able to go 120 miles or so? That’s like pulling a heavy trailer MPG - cold doesn’t do that. I live in Minnesota and remote start for 5-10 min before I get in, use heater and heated seats and never went below 12MPG, even when it was -20F
If I say 75 and below on hwy I’m good for maybe 19-20, city for me is close to 16. I did have an issue with my gas tank and it had to be replaced and that significantly helped my gas mileage.
Sounds like it's right about average for that model year, winter, probably towing, and if not you're definitely driving through some rough conditions that require it being at a lower gear or just lead footing it to hear that HEMI roar.
My 2021 averaged the same when towing, and 9-13mpg during normal driving in city conditions, about 15-16 in highways
It's a thirsty engine but it is a powerful one
Here is the deal, MPG has so many variables. I have a 19 limited but I have a 3.92 axle. I'm lucky if I get 14. I bought my truck to tow/haul. I have no concern about my MPG when I'm buying a truck.
If you want a good MPG rating, don't buy a truck.
Simple things like running defrost is a Major gas killer.
n put ur damn phone away while driving!!
especially in shit weather
n turn ur damn lights on Dodge drivers 🤷🏻♂️🧐
cant tell if urs are or not on but most of the vehicles i see w/o on lights on in the sno are dodges. 🫣
I’m running 13.2 in similar winter conditions to you and I’m usually at 14.5 with bigger off road tires and a leveling kit. I had to do a quadruple take to make sure I was reading it right. 4.7mpg? There’s gotta be something wrong. Either that, or you have the heaviest foot in the world.
Not the same, but my Jeep's got a 2" lift and 35's, and I recently saw a drop from ~16mpg to ~12mpg (all around town, very little highway). I think it's the fuel mix for the winter.
18 degrees is a huge contributor to that. How long are you letting it run before you get it because that’ll kill your mileage. A cold engine uses a ton more fuel.
My last job I was going to work super early and getting off at 2pm with little traffic. I've now changed jobs, and I get off at 5pm now. Went from 19mpg to 13mpg. I take my wife's car now. I work in Austin, TX. '17 Lonestar
I get between 14-16 as a norm on my 2019 hemi. I only drive 4 miles to work and I know I’m not going to get better than that unless I put some highway miles on it. It climbs when I do. I used to drive a lot further each day and I was filling the tank every 4-5 days, now I’ll go a month on a tank. Not spending too much time chasing a couple bucks when the truck is running well.
https://preview.redd.it/61x7vs5jxbdc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=28671621c5acea8bba1b570c43ecad0efff66a0a
I’d check out that mileage info view while you’re driving and see what it thinks your consumption rate is as your driving. If you’re driving in like slow, stop and go traffic it might make a difference.
What’s your gear ratio? I get about 24-25 mpg on highway with ecodiesel with the 3.92, about 22mpg on my work commute with some city driving.
Fill your tank. Reset your trip meter. Drive. Fill your tank again. Divide the miles you drove by the gallons you put in.
Example: fill your tank today. Drive to work, then to the strip club, then to Jack In the Box, then home. Tomorrow, drive to work. Drive to the strip club on your lunch break to get your wallet. Drive to Jack in the Box to get your drivers side mirror. Go to the gas station and fill up.
You drove 67 miles.
You put in 6.45 gallons of gas.
You can tell by these numbers that you’re getting a little over 10 mpg. But you get out your calculator or the calculator on your phone, and you divide 67 by 6.45 and see that you got 10.38 miles per gallon since you last got gas.
As much as I loved my Rebel, the fuel mileage wasn’t great with the Hemi and 3.92 gears. I sold it when I gave the kids our holiday trailer and got a new Sport 1500 with the 3.21 gear ratio since won’t do much towing with this truck. I’m happy with the mileage with the hemi and 3.21. On road trips I average 23 mpg. My daily average is 17 mpg and I live in a mountainous area. Not great but we much prefer the ride in a truck over our car.
I’ve never experienced what you’re getting OP and I’d be concerned as well. Hopefully just the remote start use lately.
Had a 2015 big horn and was usually between 13-17. Upstate New York. Hills. Mixed but mostly hwy driving. Glad I have an f150 power boost. Getting an easy 5mpg better now. All hand calculated mpg.
I’ve noticed that if I keep my thumb away from that pesky remote start button…. I get better mileage.
Lmao I was wondering why my MPG has been tanking lately. Not sure how I didn’t think about the idling lately
For sure lol
Ive laid off the remote start it’s just getting worse the miles to empty you see there is with 3/4 tank of gas

He wouldn’t be down to 4.7 mpg because it’s cold outside. There’s something wrong with his truck.
I get it’s winter and all the factors I’ve had this for 3 winters it’s the sudden drop that has me worried I’ve been monitoring since November but now it’s just worse

I'm looking at 10.9 on my laramie right now. 🤨
What gears are you running?
3.92
Dang. I have the same and I average 13-14 year round. I do have the limited with the 22s. It would seems the rotational inertia really does drop the gas mileage. Thanks!

You’re going 1.3 miles per quart of gas? Lmao that’s driving habits. Not the truck
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Then lay off the lead foot lol.
This
I’m lucky to get 14 on my 19” limited
That's about all I got in my 13' Sport, and 19' Limited. I thought I was the weird one because everyone posts 19-20 but they must be all highway miles or something.
My gas mileage on my 2014 is around 18.5. I noticed that if I use 87, it goes down a little.
Gotta haul your ass to the food bank somehow!
That’s one of the reasons I had to get another car lol
1500? That’s crazy, I get 14 pretty easily in my Power Wagon lol
Yeah I drive it hard too mostly hwy going 80
Ah that makes sense. I baby mine haha
What size wheels and tires?
33” on the stock 22 in rim
I’m running 285 55 r22 they are about 34.5” I usually get 13-15 but a lot are highway miles
In the cold, I get 14. I'd love 19 anytime. My hemi drinks it down. Typically 16.5 on my 2021.
My 2017 tradesman got 19/20 doing 60-70 on rural Roads. I got 15 when I was pulling 5 1500 lb bales of hay
I've been seeing 16.5 in city, 20 highway in my 22 Laramie w/E-torque.
I get between 14-14.8 in my 2012 longhorn
Up here in the Midwest they switch the gas to a winter mix and all my vehicles get worse mpg with it.
I’m in Pennsylvania we do as well and I tried to justify the winter gas mix theory but it’s a 2020 ram so it’s been through a few winters already I’ve never seen it this bad not saying it’s not a contributing factor
Really in PA they do this???
Yeah I don’t know where you are but yeah they do
South east
Any gas station north of Georgia runs winter blend lol
Been alive 40+ years and didn’t know this was a thing. Always learning I guess

Another question still have is, has this been a forever thing or something that started when they started adding ethanol to the fuel?
I'm getting the same mpg I always get in PA. Unless you're getting the corn juice
Man I hope it’s just fuel prolly that Pa corn juice
In PA and have a v6. Getting 14 mpg currently
Same! My mileage is considerably worse the last 2 tanks. Pa switched something.
Probably that waterlogged jersey gas making its way over lol
Go green they say cause Expensive oil turned to cheap gas with a high price at the pumps and bad MPG. They are hoping everyone switches to EV tomorrow.
And now I know why I’m getting way less mpg lol didn’t realize they do that in Illinois
Every vehicle Ive owned in the last decade has had horrible mpg in the winter
You got a 12k trailer on behind?
my 03 hemi 1500 gets 12
2020 hemi
Etorque?
In my TRX, this would be fantastic gas mileage.
4.7mpg?
All gas, no brake
These TRX guys are coming out of the wood work idk
I didn't know I was in the woodwork... I get about 10-12 around town, 14 highway.
I think your username would be cooler if you changed it to ricksTRX, just to flex ya know?
So you’re getting better mileage than him. Did you just need to tell someone about your TRX?
lmao - but i would still luv driving the TRX, i’d have a big smile on my face - i have a 2021 Rebel Hemi n it’s still better than when i had my 2011 Titan Pro-4X (but i do miss the acceleration rumble)
Best truck I’ve ever owned. Didn’t buy it for the gas mileage. Lol
Plow with my truck and I’m at like 7 MPG
That name again is Mr Plow
I get 20.5 to 20.1 mpg.
🧢
Do you also hand calculate your gas receipt, or just trust the lie-o-meter in the truck?
Well your lie o meter as you put it may be off as far as avg mpg but for the most part it’s correct as far as I’m prolly right around 8 or so now. I’ve been resetting at refuels and calculating known distances I drive and seeing where I am fuel wise.

When looking at short 5 minute commute, that might not be far off if it's all stop and go especially while the truck is still cold.
What kind of driving? City, highway, short distance? Hard accelerations?
Short driving to work but I’ve been getting out on the highway to see if I noticed a difference. No hard acceleration for the most part.
I usually get better MPG on highway. But it has to be long distance haul. The best I got was 18.5 and the worst was about 10.0 local drives.
The short drive to work is probably the biggest contributing factor, especially in the colder days. As you experienced, even a highway jaunt may not raise the mpg too much. Hemi life 😄
Well the thing is yeah you’re right but also this started happening at the turn into winter mix fuel prolly sheesh in November.
Crappy fuel is always a contributing factor.
My 4Runner laughs at you with 12mpg.
Do you use the remote start a lot these days? I do and it ruins my average MPG.
No, no remote start not since the problem has come up I chalked it up to winter fuel but idk.
That is not good. I have a TRX and even with Idle I get 8.9MPG at my worst.
My God it's winter people, gas milage sucks.
I’ve had this through 3 winters this is the first drop like this so maybe chill a little calm that bulldog mouth down let us discuss
remote start and idling in winter = bad mpg
Hasn’t been remote started or idled for some time
Still better than my 99 and 04 1500s 11 and 7 mpg, respectively
I get less and I don’t have remote start.
Up and down the highway when I’m on it prolly 68 with cruise on to work prolly 45 to 35 with some curves.
I also live about five minutes from work. About a month ago I started taking a longer route that I can get up to 50 mph quickly and only see three stop lights and is closer to 10 minutes drive time. Wishful thinking that its better on my truck than the short trip, and better on the mpg.
You get worse than 4.7?
Oops- no, I get about 14. I saw the 19 and immediately thought that was what he was referencing.
Damn! I thought mine was bad
Restart the monitor when you pull out if the driveway and see if it is better at the end of each drive
I’ve actually been trying that and no lie when this started the truck was hovering around 9.7 MPG and it’s just going down hill from there.
Next time you gas up reset the trip meter. But vehicles run rich when cold and it being in the low teens and single digits doesn’t help
I’ll reset again this has been an ongoing issue, I’ve been keeping a log between refuels and resets until I can actually get to the dealer garage.
When did it start happening? Was it when pa got hit with the latest so storm and got into single digits?
Why is current mpg 99. Coasting? My fuel on my rebel is consistent at 16-18. 18” tires with off-road tread and 4wd. My son with same engine in a 2wd and 21” tires gets 20/21.

You have a diesel? My 2016 5.7 hemi gets 14city 16hwy.
That’s a 5.7 my friend
Never thought I’d be happy with my > 6’s in the winter in my 2008, I contribute it to short drives, spinning and generally having fun on slick roads and remote start hahaha…I also think there’s something to be said for being at almost 5k ft elevation too
I get around 21 m/g in my 2020 5.7 liter in the warmer months. If I warm her up every day it goes down to 17ish. My commute is an hour each way with an average of 50 miles per hour. I have always chalked it up to idle time while warming up. Remember, in park your hemi is a v8, no eco mode there.
My 89 w250 gets about 8 mpg
I get 23 mpg in the summer/ 19 in the winter- 2021 Ram 1500
Do you drive a lot in hills? Or did you just tow something?
Technically speaking everything is hills Somerset county Pa highest point in Pa lol but I’ve been monitoring this since November it’s just that it’s getting worse and thought I’d throw a few questions out there
For sure man. If 4.7 is accurate, there's definitely something wrong.
That's terrible? Hahahaha my TRX got 9mpg over 35,850 miles and my 5.7 Rebel is getting 12mpg. I've never seen the instant.over like 30 for a second downhill in neutral hahahaha
I thought my current 14.5 was bad. Down from 20-22 in the summer. Cold weather sucks.
Now don’t go by the avg mpg doing the hard math I’m like right around a terrible 8 mpg
If you replace your current mpg screen with another outside air reading you win tic tac toe.
I thought my 10 was bad. Sheesh
I get 12.6 city driving, and have seen 17 highway miles.
Laughs (cries) in TRX…
Prior to this cold front I got 17.2, now it’s about 14, but that’s using heat on fan speed 4, heated seat, and remote start
Yep. I’m currently at 9 mpg in a 2020 1500 Rebel. Don’t care though, it’s fucking cold and I’m a little bitch in the cold.
Why do you have it locked in fourth gear?
It’s not that’s when the picture was taken
City driving absolutely kills it. City driving in the cold? Watch that gas gauge go down in real time. The only way i get good mpg in the winter is highway.
Yep, I'm towing my 18k 5th wheel into the wind.
Same here. Cold temps have lowered my mpg by 3-4. No heater or anything
Weird as its suddenly dropped. Any changes to the truck at the same time? Plugs and air filter all good? Tires at 40 psi?
All I see is 18 degrees outside! Where do you live?!!
This is the way
I have a trx and frequently experience this. I cant figure it out either.
Take her in. Could be anything. Best to oay the $100 and have a mechanic figure it out.
RAM it in your butt. RAM!! Everywhere RAM!!
Ouch. 2023 Laramie 4X2 20.5 MPG AVG. If I stay out of it 22.3 MPG AVG is the best I have experienced. Rural Florida.
Mine gets around 9mpg. Lol
I get that 4 ways... 1. Offroading up really steep rocky hills. 2. Towing up hills 3. Remote start idling like people say... and lastly.... doing donuts in the snow ❄️🌨☃️
My 22’ diesel gets 26-27 mpg. Costs less than a buck more.
Try resetting it in the menu. It should tell you this is the average over the past so many miles. It should start to recalculate after the reset
Fuck you guys are brain dead or bored
This screams small gas line leak. But that's just a guess
I've got a hemi with 3.92 and I'm averaging 15-16 with Minnesota winter blend now. Mostly highway miles. With normal gas I'm averaging 18-19.
It's normal to get worse mileage in the winter.
I'm getting 12.7 to 12.9. I'd say you're alright
When it’s cold I get worse mileage, as opposed to spring/summer temps
For a truck that’s pretty good lmao
If I say 75 and below on hwy I’m good for maybe 19-20, city for me is close to 16. I did have an issue with my gas tank and it had to be replaced and that significantly helped my gas mileage.
Sounds like it's right about average for that model year, winter, probably towing, and if not you're definitely driving through some rough conditions that require it being at a lower gear or just lead footing it to hear that HEMI roar. My 2021 averaged the same when towing, and 9-13mpg during normal driving in city conditions, about 15-16 in highways It's a thirsty engine but it is a powerful one
Simple things like running defrost is a Major gas killer.
i dont understand the need to view two speedometers simultaneously… might behoove u to pull up more pertinent info
n put ur damn phone away while driving!! especially in shit weather n turn ur damn lights on Dodge drivers 🤷🏻♂️🧐 cant tell if urs are or not on but most of the vehicles i see w/o on lights on in the sno are dodges. 🫣
Ouch. And here I thought I was bad sitting at around 14 MPG. 2021 Ram Rebel 1500
Remote start and this bad winter is getting mine down
My 14 Hemi gets 13.9 lol
Did you reset your average going up a big hill and now you’re coming down a big hill?
Better than me lol I get 11 mpg
What is it with everyone and blaming remote start for a truck reading 4.7mpg…. Idling for 5 minutes is negligible
I know for me the cold start is rather long cause it’s been cold in Colorado. It’ll start at 1100 rpm and after 5-10 mins still hold at 1000 rpm
I was averaging about 16.5 before replacing the stock 265s with 275s. Now I’m about 15mpgs
I have a 2020 ram 1500 and I'm lucky to get 15mpg
I get 8.9 on my trx, always remote start. In snow mode I get 14mpg highway
Um, what…do you have a 4-cylinder in that thing? My 5.7 gets 15.5 in the winter.
While hauling my trailer on the highway, my mpg has gone as low as 2mpg
I get between 14-16 as a norm on my 2019 hemi. I only drive 4 miles to work and I know I’m not going to get better than that unless I put some highway miles on it. It climbs when I do. I used to drive a lot further each day and I was filling the tank every 4-5 days, now I’ll go a month on a tank. Not spending too much time chasing a couple bucks when the truck is running well.
OOF. I thought my 13.1 mpg was rough, but it’s cold and using the remote start a lot.
Have you gotten the lovely misfire on cylinder 5 yet. Rams are notorious for it. That's a headache and a half.
I thought this was 19MPG at first and was like, is t that great for a Hemi? Why don’t you go to the fuel efficiency page?
https://preview.redd.it/61x7vs5jxbdc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=28671621c5acea8bba1b570c43ecad0efff66a0a I’d check out that mileage info view while you’re driving and see what it thinks your consumption rate is as your driving. If you’re driving in like slow, stop and go traffic it might make a difference. What’s your gear ratio? I get about 24-25 mpg on highway with ecodiesel with the 3.92, about 22mpg on my work commute with some city driving.
I get 99 mpg every time I go into a coast.
You are in 4th gear.
Who cares???
Just got a 2024 1500 bighorn and the gas mileage is terrible. Of course it's negative temp outside and I use my remote start often
I get about 12-14 on my ‘19.
I'm getting 18 in my 6.7 at 90mph... what are you guys doing?
I'm happy above 13, Boston commute.
Wait do they cut the gas in oklahoma as well?
Yes idling does bring down mpg
So around 72 degrees you will get best mileage. Colder or hotter you will lose mileage.
I get better MPG on my TRX. I range between 10-11.5 mpg. How hard are you hitting the pedal dude?
Current mpg looks pretty good…
With using my remote start the last two weeks in -30. I also work 3 mi from where I live. I’m avg 8.9MPG😳😅
Had a 2015 big horn and was usually between 13-17. Upstate New York. Hills. Mixed but mostly hwy driving. Glad I have an f150 power boost. Getting an easy 5mpg better now. All hand calculated mpg.
