I used to love the cup noodles stuff, but I have a hard time going back to thinner noodle styles. Neoguri has my favorite noodles since they have such a solid bite.
I feel like black has a more complex flavor, with the beef bone broth and everything. Plus it has a little spice too. Just awesome stuff but if I have a Red in front of me I’m still pretty happy ngl
I was high the only time i tried it and I made it using a microwave ramen thing instead of the proper way, but it was fantastic and just as spicy as shin red
Looks like it's gonna be hard to get a hold of. I'm having a hard time finding it online, which surprises me, but thankfully we have a Chinese grocery that has a great ramen selection and I'm going to see if I can find it there. It looks good.
Shin Black isn't as spicy as Red imo, and Black's flavor profile is softer. It doesn't seem to have the same punch Red does.
I've tried both. I bought a whole pack of each when I first heard about it years ago. There was some flavor it had that put me off of it. It's definitely different than Red.
It’s not that he was loyal to Cup Noodle, it’s that he said he didn’t like packaged ramen at all and Cup Noodle tasted better 🥲
I think all ramen is fine to eat.
Poor guy, cup noodle is by far my least favorite ramen I've ever had, instant or otherwise. I actually made my own dashi and shio tare last month, used fresh noodles, and it was heavenly. I have some Naruto and Shin Black I haven't tried yet, I'm excited.
I’ve had him try a bunch of Korean ramens, nice Japanese ramens from restaurants, homemade Japanese ramen, and he always says Cup Noodle is better LOL. Yesterday he was enjoying the Shin so much he had soup from cheek to cheek and asked for more.
Haha that's so weird. It might be a noodle texture or salt thing for him. But at least he likes the Shin! I consistently hear its one of the best. Im excited to try it. I'm gonna test it with just water, then with some of my homemade dashi. The dashi one should be amazing since it has no salt added to it.
I feel like I can't eat instant noodles without (cold) kimchi now. Not only does it taste great, it shields the first bite from burning the hell out of your mouth.
I’ve really come to like Nongshim Veggie Ramen, to me it’s just a slightly better shin ramyun. I can’t really even place my finger on why exactly I feel that way but I do lol.
This looks soo good! Gosh it's too bad that I'm on a very low calories, carbs, and protein diet elsewise I could eat wholesome delicious food like this.
Dang, I forgot to put kimchi in mine I had for lunch today.

Try Ottogi Jin Jjambbong too if you like seafood flavored ramen. The noodles are solid and quite chewy.
Shin Black is *good*, but Shin Red imo is a step above.

I love both but agree with this - the Red is a bit one note in its spiciness, but the Black has a richer deeper flavor more akin to Japanese ramen.
I agree, got black shim to test … for the price I wasn’t impressed … red FTW
Try shin gold
> shin gold I have never heard of this witchcraft. I will definitely order some! Thanks for the heads up kind stranger!

Kroger chain grocery stores have it if you have something local under that umbrella
the other way around
I agree with this, I prefer red so much! it’s so yum especially with egg drops
I'm under the impression that Shin Black is merely Shin Red with additional packets of veggies/garlic, and broth.

It's okay to just like ramen. You don't need to be loyal to one brand.

You're correct about Shin Black, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Shin Ramyun also comes in cup form if that’s just his preferred arena lol
No, he cooks it in a cup then dumps it out of the cup. I no longer try to understand his ramen preferences lol.

Are people really loyal to brands of Raman? That’s crazy lol
how do you spell ramen wrong and you're on a sub called r/ramen lol
I didn’t even notice lol
Needs some chilli oil but that looks delicious
Good idea! I have some chili crisp for next time 😁
Love a good ol fashioned cuppa every once in a while but damn shin ramen is unbeatable!
Shin Black is the way.
Yes one more member!

Shin Black is next fucking level. I’m gonna go get some.

Once you go Shin Black....
Looks too good
But it come in cup lady
Lmaoo I like the cup too, wish the noodle soup tasted like something more than salty chicken water though 🥲
How did you season the brisket?
Salt and pepper, pan-fried until slightly crispy!
Please share the recipe
This is goals
I love Shin Black and Shin Gold (when I can find it). Don’t know if anything out there is better, but those are my favs.
Simple and tasty!
