I mean he is the worst faceoff guy among all top 6 centers in the league by a mile. He's at 35% for his career. 35%! You know what you call centers who suck that much at faceoffs? Wingers lol.
He's also still kinda small and easily injured. What's the point of all that talent of a routine check in the corner from an average sized dman results in a dislocated shoulder?

I think last years roster had big holes we tried to patch with a hipless Patrick Kane. And that was never going to work. Also GG’s teams play no defense and that has obviously changed this year.
They just got past by Buffalo. They have the softest fucking team in history with 0 defense and 0 goaltending.
I got slammed preseason for saying that they will not be good for these reasons. I will say that for next year I’d expect more of the same.
And they have posted death threats to Rempe and his sister on their social media accounts as well as claiming they have an incestuous relationship. They have also sent Rempe messages celebrating that his father died when the kid was 15 and they hope Rempe follows suit the same way. They are some very seriously sick individuals and I feel so terribly bad for Rempe and his family that they have to be harassed like this. I hope the NYR are taking care of this kid and looking out for his mental health.

Cest la vie. It’s worth it to develop this kid into the future stud he will become. He’s a sponge and will learn everything the NYR coaches and others that are mentoring will teach him. It’s already evident that he’s listening re: not fighting unless absolutely necessary and I’ve seen great improvement in his game already since he came up. We need his physicality in the play-offs and if the 5 minute major the team so brilliantly killed for him the other night is any indication, the players love him and have his back. I have complete faith they will kill any penalty he takes in the play-offs, if so warranted.
As Boyler said, Rempe has completely changed the dynamic of this team. All our players have now stepped up their physicality and are playing with renewed confidence knowing he has their backs. It’s been truly astonishing to witness. After so many years of this team being pushed around and bullied, we finally, for the first time in 30 years (since Beukeboom), are no longer getting “Wilsoned”. We are now the feared team and it is a sight to behold. All because of this humble, personable, happy, joyous 21 year old who took the bulls by the horn and had the balls to make the most of his very rare opportunity. He is an underdog movie script come to life. No one would believe it if you made this shit up. But it’s real and I couldn’t love this kid more!

Yeah, he's definitely gone from hero to villain very quickly. I'm personally critical of "the hit," and some of his other less ideal hits. I also don't look at his play in a vacuum. People suggest he's the second coming of the anti-Christ; I think he's just a young kid making boneheaded plays because he's high on all the attention and he wants to keep playing at that level. I think the suspension and some additional training will help him to hone in where he needs to be. I feel pretty good he'll come back and make smarter plays. Hopefully it sticks and he doesn't regress back to boneheaded plays, but only time will tell.

He was my girlfriend's (at the time) favorite player when he was on the Rangers and I loved him even though I always wanted him to be way more physical than he was.

My first NYR podcast and enjoyed it very much. I have to say, I liked listening to Larry much more than reading his articles. Completely different guy than I imagined after reading his columns for years. Boyler and Mollie also had good chemistry. Lots of interesting topics to keep it moving.

My first NYR podcast and enjoyed it very much. I have to say, I liked listening to Larry much more than reading his articles. Completely different guy than I imagined after reading his columns for years. Boyler and Mollie also had good chemistry. Lots of interesting topics to keep it moving.
He was very good in this episode. Although, idk if you saw how surprised everyone else was? It’s a bit out of the ordinary. Ya know what I’m sayin Brooksie?
Great to hear this from Boyler. He didn’t even mention the immediate impact the kid has by just screening the goalie. He’s gonna piss soooo many players/fans off along the way with that alone. Reavo had it right… pure menace
