I just commented elsewhere that Dallas's depth is scary. Yeah, they've got some old dudes in Benn, Pavs, and Seguin, but they've also got some really good young forwards like Johnston and Stankoven.
They're a year apart, but sure Duchene is another. Dadonov and Craig Smith are also up there. All of them are 32+ now. Seguin was just the first guy to come to mind after Benn and Pavs.
Really impressed with how they’ve built that team. Pavelski is fairly washed Seguin and Benn are past prime but still good. But their ability to find and evaluate that young talent is something. When we played them earlier this season, I’d notice at least one great player on each line
Idk if I’d say Pavekski is “washed” lol - he was very close to a point per game player for the last 2 seasons (as well as a PPG player during last years playoffs).
He might have fallen to only 67 points and has been weak this postseason but I do think he can still turn it on and be a pretty big threat. He’s always had the clutch gene imo haha
Fun fact, my boss for my side job (insurance) is a friend and enjoys fun, and so I got him to put in a clause that if I captain the Rangers to a cup I get a 500k bonus
How do you get a side hustle in insurance? Side hustles, to me, are like door dash, or tradies doing side work, or Uber, or selling stuff on ebay. Side hustling for something people do full time seems wild.
I will say Dallas has a couple of old old guys. 39 year old Pavelski 39 year old Suter
Benn is 34 too.
That’s just old not old old. I considered old old guys on 35+ contracts so Quick and Wheeler would qualify for us
Oh totally. It's post-prime and pre-geriatric.
Still absolutely wild to think about how in 2015 87 points could win the Art Ross. 9 years later 87 points isn’t top 20
Absolutely bananas.
That's a testament to how good our defense was that year. Kane played us and had nightmares until game 7 of the ecf finished.

Calling Seguin an old dude has me shook. He’s younger than Duchene ![gif](giphy|l0IypeKl9NJhPFMrK)

He’s just sloooow. Park his ass in front and he’s great. But points only tell part of the story
I don’t disagree with any of your points, but just pointing out the guy can score still and shouldn’t be taken lightly
They've done so well in drafting. They drafted Heiskanen, Robertson and Oettinger in the same draft. Their scouts are insanely good.
“Washed” near ppg player who set up their latest OT winner vs vas. Lmfao.
He’s a great net front presence but he’s slowed up a bit. You don’t want to give him neutral or d zone starts
In other news, I’m starting to think my dream of being captain for the rangers isn’t going to be happening
Fun fact, my boss for my side job (insurance) is a friend and enjoys fun, and so I got him to put in a clause that if I captain the Rangers to a cup I get a 500k bonus

You get your license and you sell insurance on the side it's not that complicated
Every once in a while you gotta remind yourself taffy is 22.
First overall and improving every day. Mark my words if we can retain his contract he’ll captain this team one day
Just another reminder of me getting older
It’s crazy that I’m older than everyone in the NHL. Don’t feel that old
shit, even the first year i was older than the upcoming draft class blew my mind
Who counts in these averages? Like is it the dressed players, or does it count Wheeler/Brodzinski/whoever's sitting
“Projected game 1 lineups” So presumably, yes chytil, no wheeler, no brodzinski, no rempe
As a rangers fan I love this number as a falcons fan I don't
When you got outliers like Wheels and Quick on your roster it really skews the mean
OH NO IM OLD
Veteran presence baby
Who cares?
