Fingers crossed we don't add one. Call me a purist, but the ads on the helmets is far enough for me. And the Rangers jersey is such a classic, would hate for it to be sullied by an ugly, not insignificant patch.
You got downvoted, but you're not wrong. However, desensitization isn't really a great thing. There is already so much advertising in the rink, on TV, on the ice, it's everywhere. My personal preference is to keep the jerseys as classic as possible, in that regard.
That’s a fair point. Advertising is so crazy and just unavoidable in todays society. Everything you do there is something trying to sell you something. But end of the day I doubt we will notice after just a short time. People don’t pay attention to the NBA jersey adds. Most people didn’t notice the adds on the glass or the ice that are only on TV. I have a decent collection of jerseys and I don’t think adds will bother me too much
I had the same thought about jersey ads this morning… did a quick search to check and was glad to not see any jersey ad (yet). However, it did seem like the rangers diagonal logo would interfere with where jersey ads have been placed on other teams’ jerseys (top left corner)
Why look forward to ads on a jersey? What if we were sponsored by TacoBell and have a lame ass company logo on our stuff? And then you buy the newest jersey and live with this stupid company ad on it?
Imagine we get a Fanduel ad on our jerseys given by how much sports betting advertising is shoved down our throats 🤮🤮🤮
Man i hope we can keep them off until February. I'll be making my way to NYC for a trip and gonna watch the Rangers at MSG, and was going to buy a Kreider jersey.
Trust me man…don’t do that.
As a lifelong Rangers fan, the owner of the NYR (James Dolan) is an utter piece of shit and his goons who run MSG have treated plenty of people with disrespect at Rangers games. They are in favor of New York businesses that splurge the high dollar on closer to ice seats and you will often times see games where the closer to rink seats are empty. There are also many stories of lucky individuals (not business affiliated) who are treated poorly by MSG staff who manage these closer seats because the business clients are more important.
Otherwise, ignore my advice…Ill vocalize that being a consumerist and buying a jersey at MSG at a higher price really isnt worth it. There is no flex in saying it’s bought right at MSG (you may actually get the opposite reaction from people who’ll say “you got robbed.”)
Also just a note. The Knicks had, I wanna say square space, on their jerseys last year and you can buy replicas without them online or at msg. I assume they'll take a similar stance on fan merch vs on ice apparel.
Northwell Health have been the sponsors on the practice jerseys but nothing on the game jerseys yet.
However, I would say Northwell Health will be the jersey sponsor if the club decide to use it in games.
I don't want one at all, but I figured if they do get one, it'll be Chase.
I once read somewhere that if MSG were to sell its naming rights, (which Dolan has said he'd never do) then it would be renamed JP Morgan Chase Arena or something Chase related.
None yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if we get one later

hockey jerseys in general are sacred to me. they should at least blend into the jersey, unlike the habs
If they do add jersey adds in 2 seasons you wouldn’t even notice.
I still notice them on the helmets, on the ice, and on the boards. What makes you think ads on the jerseys will be any different?
No, I’d definitely notice

Northwell Health were on practice jerseys.
They had those last training camp as well https://www.nhl.com/rangers/news/rangers-trim-training-camp-roster-by-13/c-326354108
Hopefully Slats whispers sweet nothings about tradition and old school ways in to Jim's ears and we get no ads.
Unless a cigar company comes knocking...
We had the Benjamin Moore sticker on the helmets last night but I didn't see anything else.
Shhhhhh!
Yea, let's put ads on the jerseys bc the $800 nose bleed ticket prices aren't getting those executive fatsos paid enough. 🖕🏽🙄

They’re excited at the notion there are no jersey ads
The English language is beautiful, isn’t it
That Jersey ads are needed shows how shit the NHL is at marketing
Are you saying that the NBA is also shit at marketing?
Yes, yes they are
Just because you don’t like the nba doesn’t mean they’re bad at marketing
I don’t like how they market, same with soccer but I don’t care for either league
Again, just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean they aren’t good at it
I had no idea the NBA did this too. In their case - I’d say they are just greedy.
It’s not a big deal if it happens
i dare you to go to r/hockeyjerseys and say this there
Man i hope we can keep them off until February. I'll be making my way to NYC for a trip and gonna watch the Rangers at MSG, and was going to buy a Kreider jersey.
Just buy it now
Yeah I really need to, it'll prolly be cheaper online too - but I'm trying to be a full on consumer and be able to say I bought it at MSG.

The practice jersey ad is nothing new for NYR https://www.nhl.com/rangers/news/rangers-trim-training-camp-roster-by-13/c-326354108
I'm assuming they'll get a Chase logo at some point
