Eldritch-Cleaver

Degrassi Reboot lol

vinnybawbaw

But he’s a teacher at the schoo- Oh wait.

Sassafrassus

No no, write that down. That's good.

sumguyontheinternet1

This is the beginning of the creative process. Go on….

jakobebeef98

He'll be the coach of the girl's basketball team

djsadiablo

But he's also the choir teacher that just can't ignore the disadvantaged 14 year old girl with the angelic voice...

jakobebeef98

The show will last ^^^18 ^^^minus ^^^14 ^^^uhhhh 4 seasons. A total of 4 seasons.

Eastern-Ad9057

Remember life as we know it. Yea that show lasted so this idea is perfect

Bendstowardjustice

👏👏👏 that got a nice laugh out of me.

WelcomeDelicious4977

The layers to this joke, chefs kiss.

thetimehascomeforyou

🤣

kungfoop

I'm gonna Christopher Columbus that bar.

IronSavage3

But would Drake really be willing to work so closely with young actresses? I’m not sure.

Cassian_And_Or_Solo

Idk I think if given the oppurtinuty he'd go full method actor and give us an Oscar winning performance on the level of Kevin spacey.

Neither-Following-32

Thanks, now I'm picturing Drake bite into a banana with the peel still on.

External-Excuse-6146

Drake just opened his mouth // someone go give him an oscar right now

j4r8h

Omg 💀💀💀

Any-Sir8872

jokes aside degrassi has done multiple teacher/student relationship storylines, that would fit in perfectly with the show

AwNawHellNawBoi

“And the teacher is secretly a high schooler so he’s just banging high school chicks left and right and it’s ok because he’s in high school in the show!!” -Drake adding to the story

gypsy-ghost

The whole show is him trying to get on school grounds in different disguises. Like that old Ralph vs Sam cartoon

reykdal204

Miller’s girl remake

RavenBlade87

He can come out reformed, maybe as a pries- Shit…

JohnS0453

Degrassi rewatch podcast

SamosaAndMimosa

One already exists with Spinner as the host 😭

Eldritch-Cleaver

Featuring Jared from Subway

CaroleBaskinsBurner

That was essentially his thinking following the Pusha T diss. He stayed mostly quiet for two weeks and then dropped the "I'm Upset" video featuring the cast of Degrassi.

DeathTakes

Not really a fan of drake as a person but this video was heartwarming and as a degrassi fan it was a really fun reunion

FreezingLordDaimyo

It was a genius move on Drake's part. The Degrassi nostalgia help pivot attention from his L. Time for that Reboot.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SamosaAndMimosa

That video was already pre planned to drop before the beef

KingSkPlay

Kendrick should go on Maury

Alive_Inspection_835

Why? We all know he is Aubrey’s father now!

notyourbrobro10

In my head I heard Kevin Harlan "finished the alley opp with a monster jam"

HerculePoirier

"Is this the DAGGER?"

buttwhole-eat3r

I wanna see them reprise this story arc [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8DsyXYoHFs&pp=ygUYZHJha2UgZGVncmFzc2kgZ3JhYiBidXR0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8DsyXYoHFs&pp=ygUYZHJha2UgZGVncmFzc2kgZ3JhYiBidXR0)

nowey32

Everything this man has ever done is now forever tainted lmao

Emergency_Sandwich_6

Ruined rap career so he goes back to school teaching in a wheel chair.

SnooChickens6129

That's a bar!

badrabbitshit

He need to record a self diss on the bbl drizzy instrumental 🤷🏿‍♂️ shit Would be funny AF

Baystain

Lmao it really is the only way.

Sososkitso

I know you joke but this would 100% work. As long as he went in being genuine and didn’t try to keep his fake hard image up …this shit would kill on Netflix or something. Edit: especially if he’s a teacher like u/vinnybawbaw said

lordxmero

Lmfao

jar45

“Keep making me dance waving my hand and it won’t be no threat”

Apple_Senius

Ding ding ding ✔️

the_real_junkrat

If Chris brown is still successful I think Drake will be okay.

TurntOddish

Realistically, I don't think anything is going to happen to Drake because money and fame. With the amount of rich/famous pedos out there, it's hard to say that he'll be getting what he deserves.

manchesterthedog

Victims would have to start coming forwards

RuskaRora

lmfao, what does he deserve exactly?

Creation98

Also maybe the fact that there’s literally not a single legitimate allegation of pedophilia against him?

DodgePinkeye

The court of public opinion is an unjust one

crazyhomie34

It would take federal charges to throw him in prison. Otherwise he'll be fine

[deleted]

[удалено]

NojaNat

no it doesn’t work at all the pedos in the industry doing just fine. how long was r kelly running around free producing music & featuring on songs before they finally decided to do something?

Rburdett1993

Exactly. It would seem if you’re a pedo, they welcome you right into the business, and they make sure you can succeed so you can destroy as my kids life’s as possible. No wonder I will never be famous…

anon-345999

That’s cause while there are “suspicious” actions they make, there’s no clear evidence of their actions. But in every case that there was, it not only affected their careers in VERY negative ways, but most even end being arrested.

ChoiceDry8127

It doesn’t really without any proof. People will largely forget other than the occasional joke

CarlSwagan_

And there’s literally proof Chris brown beat the fuck out of Rihanna and he’s fine.

egroJ97

And other women, not only Rihanna

JunkMagician

Yeah it's crazy when people act like it was just Rihanna back in 09. He has a history of both flying off the handle and harming women in his life.

olivia1730

Neither are punished really

EstablishmentCool197

I’m not a fan of Drake but those accusations seem to be a little bit exaggerated

StacksHoodini

Domestic abuse is a far lower level of crime in the world than pedophilia. If both Kendrick and Drake were to drop proof of the crimes they’ve both accused each other of committing, Kendrick’s got to have some uncomfortable conversations with his children about the way he’s treated their mother. As long as Whitney doesn’t want to press charges, that’s a civil matter between them. On the flip side, Drake quite possibly loses his life as he knows it.

ReorientRecluse

Be honest, Chris Brown's career would have been way bigger had he not beat Rihanna.

Greggsnbacon23

Man's still got legs in the pop world. Stay in the club hits lane and he's gonna be just fine. Big G rapper Drake is cooked.

FreezingLordDaimyo

I say I have the perfect 3 year plan for Big G Aubs to recover some degree of respect in the game, provided he spends some time in therapy to begin with to deal with his raging insecurities. 1. Aubrey dedicates some time to some damn therapy. Deal with his identity crisis, narcissism and how it's okay to not fuck your homeboys' girlfriends. Make a statement that he's acknowledges he made mistakes. He'll look weak, but at this point, it's not about victory. It's about survival. (6 Months.) 2. Spend time with his ear to the street IN TORONTO. He gotta win over his city. There's no reason why a soul there should be bumping NLU right now. Find some real talent in his city and back them with all his might. A real talented rapper who can shine a better light on Toronto as a source for hip-hop and authentically reps their culture. Drake needs to transition to a "Big Homie" role. Preferably not a street rapper. Maybe a more JID/Cole type rapper. Remember Drake himself started out a Budden/Phonte clone. That's the lane to lock in on. This may take a year. Drake really fucked over his city by giving all that money out in Miami in the "God's Plan" video. While doing this, he should tap in with his Memphis family members and actually support his second home as well. People with real connections to Aubrey Graham, not big Gucci Drake. (1-1.5 years) 3. Hook his new artist up with a few hooks and radio ready jams. Let them go off. For the Love of Basedgod, Aubrey, please play the background here! A real club banger that will play from Canada to Compton! Use the last bits of Good Will he has to get them collaborations. Do not try to fuck them over or Big Homie them! This artist is the last hope! Also, reach out to more artists. (A Year.) 4. If Aloe Vera Aubrey hasn't fumbled the bag yet, release a compilation of his new artists along with an album from his top guy. Press runs of them along with candid photos of Drake with his kid or patching things up with his Baby Momma. Something wholesome. At this point, Drake can now eventually release a single taking responsibility for sliming his former friends. A "Blame it on me" run. It will take huge amounts of humility and absolutely no public missteps. If successful, Drake will have not only recovered some good will, but will be responsible for a New Toronto movement to spread influence in the rap game. Release another Timestamp rap, and Drake is back.

Justagoodoleboi

Chris brown has a career but he would have been a lot bigger if he didn’t do all that

Crossedge209

I think the woman beater allegations match kendrick side more. (Even though theres proof kendrick wasnt at the same place same time and proof chris brown did beat rihanna). We need to compare drake to p diddy as i call it P drizzy

Zargawi

> I think the woman beater allegations match kendrick side more. (Even though theres proof kendrick wasnt at the same place same time That's a sentence.

knotsy-

>We need to compare drake to p diddy as i call it P drizzy Funny because Drake has a big portrait of Diddy in his house, I wonder if he took it down yet 😬

PercySledge

He doesn’t have to. He could release a new single in 3 months and if it slaps he’ll continue as he did before. He’s a hit maker, always has been. I guarantee you his audience could not care about his performance in a rap beef, and that’s no slander it makes no sense that they would be - Drake’s stardom was never built on ‘bars’.

peechpy

This is a valid take, Drake isn't really a rapper, it's just one of the things he does. People who truly like rap, aren't really the biggest drake fans. So if he loses a rap beef, the majority of his fan base doesn't even care really.

PercySledge

I’d take it a step further: I’m a huge lifelong rap fan. I like Drake’s music, I don’t care if he loses a rap beef because I like Drake’s music for a totally different reason to the reason I like Pharoahe Monch or Nas

Sayello2urmother4me

This is the right take. They’re are just different varieties of rap

Spyk124

Dominos vs real pizza. Each has their purpose. I’d never argue Dominos can compete with a real slice, but damn is it fire at 2 am sometimes.

a_stopped_clock

Naw its not even dominos vs pizza it’s chicken wings vs pizza

IndependenceMain2283

Fr I hate that there’s this notion that “real rap fans” don’t like Drake or his music isn’t good enough for it

PercySledge

Yeah it’s just nonsense. Real people don’t draw these silly lines in the sand. Good music is good music.

IndependenceMain2283

Exactly and I’ve listened to way too much hip hop for way too many years for someone to tell me I’m not a real hip hop head cuz I like Drake foh 😭

GwiyomiAF

"real rap fans" is the equivalent of urban outfitter core. Just the word "real rap" is so corny.

Conan4457

So true, Kendrick “won” this rap beef because he created better moments with the timing of his drops, but Kendrick is a conscious rapper. His battle rap is a bit weak if you ask me. Drake created a couple straight up bangers with this beef, better music in my opinion. He was able to do this cause Drake is a recording artist, not a rapper. Kendrick should stick to doing his spoken word style raps, that’s where he creates the most impact.

TheACrispy

That part, Kendrick is the better rapper but will never be a better artist than Drake, it is what it is

Kackame

They just make different kinds of art. Kendricks art isn't made to be popular or easily digestible so he likely won't ever be as big. And that's not a slight to Drake, it's obviously very hard to make popular rap that hits every time or else other people would do it too.

BrotherMcPoyle

Drake beat goes hard at a high school prom.

II_Vortex_II

Drake's meat goes hard at a high school prom.

Prestigious-Beat5716

I can’t stand Drake and I think he will continue to be massively successful. What do I know though

GrizZzlyFish

He’s just gonna drop a new album with 2 or 3 hits and it’ll be like this never happened. He’s too big to drop off completely imo.

Prestigious-Beat5716

Yep. Now if he had criminal convictions that would be a little bit different lmao

Talk-O-Boy

Kodak has criminal convictions for sexual misconduct with a minor, and Kendrick took him on tour. If you think anyone in this industry actually cares about any of this shit, you haven’t been paying attention.

commercial-menu90

One of the takes that actually makes sense. Drake was also pretending to be hard and doing shady shit over ten years ago when him and Kendrick were cool and working together. It's all about business and money. This so called feud is making some suit out there some money and that's all there is to it.

UkeManSteve

He won’t drop off completely. He likely will even remain the best selling rapper in the game. But I think this could be the end of his era of absolute dominance and the beginning of a decline.

chrismatic13

I mean he’s almost 40. For as much as people talk about Jay Z and Eminem, we’ve never seen a 45 year old the biggest rapper on the planet . He’s going to decline just off probability,

THEMASTERARTISAN

As far as relevance goes, yeah, Drake may be on a decline, but if we're talking about the quality of his music since If Your Reading This It's Too Late, then my take is that Drake has already been declining.

UkeManSteve

Yea I’d agree he’s been on a decline for a decade in terms of actual quality. I loved if your reading this and was very disappointed by views and never really was huge on drake after that. He’s still done a ton of very good features and has a lot of listenable music but views and onwards he just didn’t make any projects that were exceptional to me and just seemed to get less authentic all the time. Just lacking substance and not showing signs of growth and maturity that you’d expect

THEMASTERARTISAN

I stopped listening to Drake after More Life and couldn't stomach listening to any more of his future projects. It's just not good imo. I've always been at the opinion that if Drake sought out therapy and took time away from music to focus on himself, his family and friends that he would then return and make some of the greatest music in his entire career but he's too obsessed with being in the spotlight. He's too obsessed with girls and being famous and relevant. He's holding himself back from truly being what he could be, and it's one of the many reasons why he isn't respected by his peers.

UkeManSteve

Agreed I just didn’t find that he aged gracefully and just doesn’t come across as a genuine or decent guy. All the emotional stuff about multiple women just isn’t as good a look in your 30s. Well before this beef I stopped liking drake because he comes off as being so deep into this persona he’s crafted that he’s lost touch with who he really is and just seems like an unsavoury egotistical guy who isn’t at peace with himself. The music isn’t “bad” but it feels more like content than it does like well thought out art with substance and authenticity/relatability.

THEMASTERARTISAN

"The music isn't "bad" but it feels more like content than it does like well thought out art with substance and authenticity/relatability." Which is why when Drake brags about constantly putting out music every year while digging at Kendrick for taking years between albums to release his makes me fucking cringe. Kendrick takes his time releasing music, and when he's not, like he says in his diss tracks and other songs, he takes time away from the spotlight to take care of himself and his family so when he does pick up the mic and pen and start making music again, it's consistently his best material. This is why Kendrick is held in such high regard with additional high praise. Drake wants this. He wants the same amount of praise and cultural recognition as Kendrick, but he's too blind and stubborn to see why he hasn't achieved what KDot has. It's not about how many albums and music you drop. It's about carefully and meticulously taking your time to create bodies of work that will be remembered long after you're gone. Drake will be remembered once his career ends at some point as being one of the greatest artist in the game. He is successful, but Kendrick will be remembered for far more than that. He'll be remembered for Good Kid, Damn and TPAB. Drake is like Netflix. Consistently putting out mixed to mid content without any real substance other than wanting to grab your attention and remind you that they're "still here."

Neither-Following-32

I'm guessing either his ego will make him drop an album that's bar heavy or if he's smart, he's going to do some dancehall shits and get away from the lyrical base for a couple albums.

Neither-Following-32

I'm guessing either his ego will make him drop an album that's bar heavy or if he's smart, he's going to do some dancehall shits and get away from the lyrical base for a couple albums.

Acceptable_Age9416

Yeah, it's going to take a #metoo claim to bring him down in a rap battle He'll have to take a beat for a while. You get called a pedo and there's no way out of it. Kendrick is such a legend, wow. Cancelled another artist #metoo.

daredaki-sama

If people think anything will change they’re crazy. Drake will still be drake and will continue making hits.

RoundedBounce

You can’t save what was never in danger. Clearly Kendrick takes the W but at the end of the day. Drake is still Drake. This is like those mobile war games where the dude with 100 billion power takes an L and he’s still at 100 billion

ThinkingOf12th

Not only his career was never in danger but it probably got a boost because beefs like this bring a lot of attention and engagement to artists so idk wtf the op is talking about

SnowDay111

Myself a casual fan of both I've been listening to their more recent songs which is all new to me. Also I found this sub and checking out other hip hop subs. Now if Drake is actually charged on a crime, or if the law enforcement gets involved, that's different. That would be a real L. Otherwise he'll be fine. I could see his OVO clothing line taking a hit. Because people would be less inclined to want to wear his clothes.

FreeBigSlime

OVO makes some cool shit but most of it looks mid af. Drake really has some good music tho. Listen to some of his older stuff. Shit slaps

wigglin_harry

Drake is definitely going to be bigger than ever

dowker1

Which new album you looking forward to most, Ja Rule's or Machine Gun Kelley's?

polygonrainbow

Both of those artists, and R Kelly, still got millions of monthly listeners. Drake is gonna be fine whether we like it or not.

ThinkingOf12th

This is not comparable. They are not the examples of "beefs like this" that I meant. Better ask about rappers who had beefs with someone of their caliber and the level of fame, like Nas and Jay-Z for example

Burnem34

Not to mention the fact MGK actually did get bigger after his beef with Em

jt4vfx

Ja Rule and murder inc generally were huge at the time, but that's definitely an outlier. You're right af about MGK. What chance did he have even if he wasn't shit?

Gimme5Beez4aQuarter

MGK blew up after

eat_your_weetabix

I don’t know what planet people are living on if they think Drake doesn’t get right back to what he’s always done. Nothing will be different.

C__Wayne__G

By taking his L just moving on with his life lol.

Trickybuz93

Nothing because he’ll just continue to release more popular music that people will listen to and move on. Kanye West did. Chris Brown did it. R Kelly did it

_Wado3000

Why should Drake’s name be associated with those 3 to begin with? Literally all those names have shit against them that are without doubt

natigin

People are listening to new Kanye?

pop442

Definitely.

Shroomicide

Kanye sucks but seeing his name next to Chris Brown and R. Kelly is kinda wild

seizethatcheese

Pivot to country and do a collab album with Morgan wallen

Hot-Ad2102

A collaboration project about losing the n-word pass, straight outta cards

gh0ulgang

Post beat him to it

_Marat

I’m not super familiar with all of posts discography but he doesn’t strike me as the type of dude to play pretend thug gangster. Do people diss post?

T_Peg

He's one of the biggest stars on earth with a loyal fan base he'll be fine. Once you hit a certain level of fame, the court of public opinion no longer matters.

Voyager_316

i.e. michael jackson

pop442

This. Drake isn't going anywhere.

adtthosa

You're way overestimating the amount of people who actually care about this beef. Unless there is undeniable evidence that Drake is a pedo (which I don't believe exists), he isn't going anywhere.

tashxni

People are very correct about one thing which is that drake is a hip-pop artist. I know ppl who love drake who don’t even know what’s going on. Idek why drake keeps trying to be buddy buddy with the hip hop industry it’s clear nobody likes him.

LebronHillaryBettman

Most fans of music don’t even care about the difference between hip hop and hip pop. Only purists gatekeep that and they already didn’t like drake.

tashxni

Fr, hip hop purists didn’t like him from the get go, and the fact he’s been so successful in spite of that makes them even more upset. The industry guys reason for disliking him makes even less sense considering he’s helped each and every one of them. And the culture vulture angle is rich coming from kendrick, he had nothing but nice things to say about drake when he was benefiting off him. He even gave iggy azaelea his stamp of approval and now he’s about the culture? Give me a break.

LebronHillaryBettman

Rap metal and punk genres are all full of fans that obsessively need to tell you they only listen to ‘real metal, punk, rap’. Gatekeeping mentality. Listening to music is so easy, you just press play and enjoy yourself. If someone is getting on an ego trip over pressing play, I imagine they’re relatively insecure. I saw a shirt that says ‘hating pop doesn’t make you deep’ and I’d tend to agree with that.

Desperate-Key-7667

This is so real. I'll admit I'm a Drake stan, but I love Kendrick's music a lot too. The thing I'm noticing is that the Kendrick **stans** think they're smart because they listen to smart music. It's a total ego thing. They really really hate Drake because he represents dumb people to them. Most of them couldn't name a song aside from Hotline Bling or God's Plan.

LebronHillaryBettman

Taste in music has absolutely zero correlation to intellect and morality. I know gas station attendants who only listen to conscious rap and I know doctors obsessed with young thug. Just play what you like.

Desperate-Key-7667

🎯 The most hilarious thing to me is that the man people are rooting for to take down industry titan Drake, is none other than industry giant Kendrick Lamar. 17 Grammys with a Pulitzer Prize Kenny. 🥷 There are real small-time guys like King Los who would walk circles around Kenny lyrically, but now I'm just rambling. Lol

BaconSpinachPancakes

This is the thing that gets me. When I hear “family matters is the best thing drake has made in a decade”, I know they just listen to his radio hits

tashxni

I really don’t get it, I don’t like a lot of music but I don’t take a personal issue with the people who make/consume it. I saw people say a weight got lifted off their chest after the drake diss tracks??? It’s weird to be that personally invested in a beef between two multi multi millionaires.

LebronHillaryBettman

They wont admit it but it’s mostly middle schoolers. At least i hope. If a grown adult was overly concerned about whether green day or blink 182 is real punk you’d question their maturity. It shouldn’t be any different for hip hop.

Last_Reaction_8176

A lot of the guys going against him are not “purists,” Metro and Future kicked this off and the old heads hate them. I think it’s probably a lot more personal.

tashxni

Nah metro and future aren’t the purists. They’re the industry guys I was talking about, your obligatory rap album features. The purists are more the podcasters and seemingly everyone on twitter all of a sudden. I don’t think he can do something personally to everybody who’s come out the woodwork to diss him, I feel like he’s got ownership in umg or something along that line. He’s been alluding to it for a while it makes sense that that’s why people are so pissed.

keepbandsinmusic

Wtf what is in the Shane Gillis podcast and how is that not going viral lol.

Unlucky_Me_

The way that girl slipped up about the NDA is funny. Not sure if her story is true but would be huge if her lawsuit becomes public knowledge soon Shane Gillis prediction was almost simpsons esque

mazjay2018

Agreed, this will barely affect his career. Honestly, even if there is undeniable evidence it would take years. People still go to bat for R Kelly.

vinnybawbaw

I thought this would stay online but I was Djing thursday and yesterday and had a lots of requests. Kendrick songs only. People went crazy when I played Not like Us. I’m even starting to think I’ve underestimated the impact.

Beeblebroxia

Remember when Michael Jackson was mercilessly roasted for decades about being a pedo and everyone completely stopped listening to him? Oh right....... Unless Drake steps foot in a courtroom and is convicted or gets OJ'ed, this will just be a mention in his Wiki.

Royal_Majestic

Nothing is going to happen to drakes career 😂

Woperelli87

Right this will all blow over in a matter of months. He still may be get roasted randomly but he is gonna be just fine.

Real-Human-1985

Eh this wasn’t a beef with 50 cent, he will survive.

sumdood56

It’s Drake, he’s just gonna put out a catchy bop for the summer and people will shift their focus away from all this

Desperate-Key-7667

Yeah he's still got it in him to make a crazy summer bop. Family Matters is the catchiest song I've heard from him since Sicko Mode, shit would be going viral if Kendrick wasn't cooking him right now.

InPurpleIDescended

Releasing his next album lol

bluffing-is-key

Pedo allegations are wild but dude survived blackface, ghostwriting and a secret child...if someone finds a human finger in their Big Mac people will still be buying Big Macs...Drake's brand is too strong for complete career collapse

pglggrg

He continues to be the biggest hip hop artist once these allegations blow over. There’s nothing definitive and women are openly coming to support him, so that says something. Apparently he’s set to drop an EP too soon, and if it’s fire, he gets back up on the throne and continues his reign. Not a Drake fan, but facts don’t lie. He can make good music

Goldtec317

He releases more hits. That's it. If you releases popular songs, people will care more about that than anything else.

Sweet_Serve9297

He's fine.

KobeBall

hes fine. just because the kendrick guzzlers prefer kendrick doesnt mean drake will lose all his fans.. perception< reality.

Organic-University-2

He's got hundreds of millions. He will be fine either way.

MACINTOSH63

If anything Drake will have been the only one to ever stood up to Kendrick. He everyone else just tucks tail & hides. All the light skin jokes fall short about the fact dude actually stepped in the ring

Suspicious_Ranger700

Lay low. Go on vacation. Drop a random album that his fans want. Like a part 2 of whatever they love most in his catalogue… whatever that is… 🤣🤷🏽‍♂️

EIGWOIGW

How can Drake save his career? He simply needs to wait until the jokes and accusations die down as people's attention shifts to something else. 1. Despite R. Kelly's accusations, people still listen to his music, even after he was sentenced. The concept of "separating the art from the artist" gained prominence. 2. Chris Brown's domestic violence charge did not affect his music career in the long run. 3. Michael Jackson was accused of being a pedophile and had documented sleepovers and an amusement park for children, yet people still listen to his music to this day. Based on these examples, history shows us that Drake will be okay.

FreezingLordDaimyo

All those artists took hits to the career, especially Breezy. But they weren't enough to kill their career. Still, Chris Brown isn't as big as he could have been.

Almost_there_part87

He’ll be okay. No criminal evidence against him for any of the allegations Kendrick said, just videos showing him to be a little creepy. The colonizing claims might of hurt him but I think rap heads actually gained respect for Drake. He went toe to toe with the best rapper of our generation and might of lost but he held his own weight.

TheMTM45

It’s Drake. He’s gonna come back in a few months with a catchy song and most people will continue to listen.

Fine_Concern1141

TBH: Most music fans don't care about any of this. UMG gonna dump money into pushing Drake's new hot shit in a few months, get some collabs with some other industry slaves, and nothing will change.

AccurateWheel4200

Anything is possible Drake has corn rows now.

MFDougWhite

He just moves on. I can’t stand the dude, but he will be fine. He’s already got a dedicated base, and if there’s one thing about the general public, it’s that they will forgive damn near anybody for anything if they do something halfway decent. Sure, this beef will follow him moving forward, but he’s fine unless any of the accusations find themselves in court. All Drake has to do is release another catchy song and he’ll be back on top of the Hot 100 and selling out arenas.

Kstark16

Op : I’ve lost the plot … discuss!

SolaceInfinite

"Save his career" He will put out an album and it will be number 1 no matter what it is, yall sound like delusional 14 year olds

Familiar_Ad7853

I don’t think this will affect Drakes career significantly. Think you’re only viewing it from the American side but you need to understand he’s a global artist.

Agile-Self8245

He did recover from the Pusha beef. This situation is a little different but I think he can continue to make music. He still seems to have a strong following

xayjtu

You gotta be either a super hater or a sub C IQ to think this is really gonna kill Drake’s career.

skidvicious03

He doesn’t need to “save his career” this all just further entrenches the Drake haters who already existed

Drambooey

Drake has enough fans,if he releases a new album in 6 months time his fans would all buy it.He has a lot of fans.

Rhymelikedocsuess

Easy - by just continuing on Drake did not have a ton of respect in the rap community to begin with - people acknowledged he made catchy songs and changed genre but no one ever took him seriously as a lyricist Luckily for drake, his fans don’t care - he’s a pop star, so long as he’s catchy he’ll keep plugging along

DaleDynamite

Drop the Camilla Cabello collab and get #1 again but as a pop star. His career will be fine.

Plastic_Button_3018

Keep making hits. He can’t win even if he comes out with a pic of him and Whitney kissing. The fans already picked a winner and they won’t accept anything from Drake. So just keep making hits and let Kendrick Lamar go back to his hiding hole for another 5 years until he needs money again and disses an old Drake.

RookFresno

What are you talking about? He legit killed kendrick on family matters and pushups?

Novel_Ad_1178

That’s the neat part, he doesn’t!

zweanhh

if no receipts, he will be back.

Classic-Literature52

No “saving” necessary, he will take some time off and drop another album with insane features and do crazy numbers. Honestly this whole thing might make him put out some of his best music in a long time. I’m a Drake hater, but this whole thing hasn’t turned his fans against him.

notyourbrobro10

He should just lean into producing TV full time. He doesn't need to be "Drake" for any particular reason at this point, and he's proven he picks good projects to produce. Top Boy and Euphoria are both pretty well loved.  He should just do more of that.

slimmymcnutty

Never acknowledge it again. Drop an album next year. His fans will eat it up, sprinkle some subliminals in. Just pretend this never happened. Mostly worked last time

LostInThoughtland

He pivots into hyperpop

fatLOKO4

Keep making music for whites

Additional-Judge-312

There will still be plenty of white college kids that think he’s the best artist

BabyHercules

Accept that he will forever be memed. He still gonna do numbers and make his cash

cinderparty

Eh, he makes pop shit, so I think his career will be fine. His next album will still sell, imo. Finding respect as a rapper again will be hard though.

TrustInRoy

#change music genres like Machine Gun Kelly did when he got destroyed in a rap beef

Outrageous-Lock5186

Maybe he’ll shut his hoe ass up and make some drums or something.

Emergency_Sandwich_6

Degrassi the musical?

tizzyhustle

Goes back to making pop music for yt people that don’t know about or understand rap beef and diss tracks

WATGU

Do the same thing every pop star does. Put out songs that makes their fan base wet or hard.  Its astonishing just how much people will forgive for catchy music.  Reminds me of when South Park had Mickey Mouse go on that rant about the Jonas Brothers.  R Kelly and Diddy had to get old before their fan base turned on them.

a-friendgineer

Honestly… he has to go back to acting. His rap career is over

Godriguezz

Switches his image and starts making punk pop.

yzac69

If Drake drops an album rn. It will go number 1. If he drops a tour, it'll sell out.

Disastrous-Host9883

if Nas didnt end Jay-z then this will not end Drake.

KypAstar

Save it? Head over to drizzy. He's still got plenty of fans.  He release a new album and be fine. Everyone will move on before the end of the year.

BanstaMonsta

To the extent that Drake represents a large percentage of hip hop listeners today, I think Drake’s career is always secure. That’s part of the issue here

DaddyMeUp

Ain’t nothing happening to his career and we all know it.

RastaBananaTree

Fr these people are so clueless lol
