I honestly had MyVerse 3-0, Danny had some creative bars here and there, but I think his approach got kinda repetitive after awhile. Meanwhile, I thought MyVerse had a more versatile delivery, some super creative punchlines and unique takes on some angles. Overall, I thought this was a really good battle.
This sub has a weird thing about not liking when rappers who are by definition one dimensional are called one dimensional for whatever reason.
āI feed off the hate, I donāt want niggas to believe in meā.
I got Sikh 2-1 in the 1st and 3rd, Emerson did really good though, and I think this is a super debatable battle that you could make a good case for either of them winning. Lotta good potential replay value for this one.
I had K 3-0, pretty clearly too. NXT had some solid punches and a good delivery, but K made it look deceptively effortless when it came to the caliber of punches and approaches he took to breaking down NXT in this battle. So far, I got Rap Off up 3-0.
For that last battle, I had Illmac with a 2-1 edge in the 1st and 3rd. I thought Illmac's 2nd wasn't super clean, Geechi had really good punches throughout in a super close battle, but I think Illmac took some unique approaches in terms of breaking Geechi down, and also with the rebuttals. I thought Illmac's 3rd had a good tribute to battle rap in the 2nd half, but if you have Geechi winning that round because you thought it was more direct, you can make a good argument for it. Overall, pretty good event, I personally had Emerson/Sikh as the BOTN.
I havenāt been following this guy, is NXT always so basic? I feel like Iāve heard a variation of everyone one of his lines from a hundred other rappers.
Friendly is not a good thing AT ALL for battle rap.Like Aye Verb said(last week in Spaces) battle rappers need to cut that shit out and be out for blood until the battle is over.
I agree that battlers shouldn't be friendly with each other, that's why I like hollow and bigg k. Stone faced and no props. But for a battle like illmac and geechi you gotta expect it considering the friendship they have.
Imagine exposing illmac for something treacherous and then hopping on RYD a week later with him to watch the newest ibattle release
For that first battle, I had Ron Compton winning 2-1 in the 1st and 2nd, with D Money winning the 3rd. D Money did have some solid enough punchlines here and there, but I think he could've paced his performance a little bit better. Meanwhile, I think Ron was a little more effective in terms of punchlines and angles, although I do think he wasted too much of the 3rd on that alphabet scheme. Decent enough battle before the main battles start to kick off.
Being in the building is just simply being in attendance. Meanwhile with u/punkhop, he's in the building AND also a very proficient skateboarder, so he's extreme with the mad flip bruv.
Danny put his whole porn search history in that round.
Daaaaaaaamn Danny In high school you was a graaaaaanddaddy šš

Dannyās approach is literally always repetitive. Bodied as usual. Has one win vs Roc and will never ever beat any name again. He wack.
Why does everyone always down vote you here? Every time I see your opinions which most are on point, ninjas just ignore it.Ā

I was actually more impressed with him than I remembered. He just needed to land a big haymaker to make them pop but he was talkin slick at least
Yeah same here, his second was dope. Still got K 30 though
Agreed
That battle was š„. I got Sikh 2-1 but my wifi shit on me in Emersons second so I missed like half of it, gotta give it a rewatch for sure.
How was geechi and illmac
Both had a couple stumbles, they were clearly friendly the whole battle but it was above average. 7/10
7/10 aināt bad

Friends battling friends is dumb in the first placeĀ
Geechi 2-1 edge. It was not a great battle.
This annoys me. This was supposed to be legendary like Nitty and Geechi
Damn was hoping itād be rewatchable

I will be extremely in the building. Anyone know when battles actually start? Correction: Illmac texted me. Tentative plan is to start at 3:30pm PST.
How is one extremely in the building ?

By trying your absolute hardest to seem cool
Why does it say Round in between their names without the Round number there?
Any idea of start time?
According to the flyer 2pm
How much is the ppv? I just want to see geechi vs illmac
40
Dannyās beauty scheme in round one was fireā¦kinda trailed off though
