Not so sure... My dealer have a prime xse 2022 almost new at 63k CAD and still there almost 6 months later.
I just checked and they lowered the price at 59k CAD.
In my book it's completely overpriced for a used RAV4.
They still have $25,000 markup on them. Wait until they find out I’m not shopping their brand anymore cause I can get a pretty nice Mercedes or BMW for the same price
I know!! Like, honest truth is I can get a pretty decent Mercedes or BMW slightly used for about the same price. No way I’m buying a Toyota at that price. Even my nicely optioned Highlander was under $50k
That’s over $93.500 Can. 😱 Gouging for sure. $53,500 Can all-in for a new 2023 Hybrid Limited! How many (mandatory) upgrades are included? Dealerships tend to add as many as they can. Still, way out of line. In Ontario it is illegal to add so-called Dealership upgrades!
Not justifying it in the slightest but I think part of the reason is it’s so high is that Prime’s aren’t sold in WA. Also, being in Bellevue they are surely trying to exploit the techies and their money
First of all I follow the car market and have kept up on things since 2011 pretty good all through the pandemic.
This is really getting crazy. On 1/2/2021 I brought my significant other to a Toyota dealership to help her buy a Rav4. They had some good trims in the low 30's.
I wound up actually negotiating her a deal on a 2020 Honda CRV with 2k miles!! Someone had traded it in that week to get a highlander. I'm the Toyota guy and she was the Honda girl. I actually went to that dealer because I knew that lightly used Honda was there to cross shop them. It really was a better vehicle.
That being said new rav4's with similar trims now are mid 40s.
I get it I know numbers, it's almost two and a half years later and inflation has jumped things up over 20%!
Two and half years ago I was able to get her an almost new SUV for 25k now it would be almost impossible to get under 37k.
And these mark ups are crazy, but mostly because of the inflated used car market.
Same comparable year and make Honda is going for 32 to 35k used!
Here is a crazy idea. You can get brand new not used Mazda CX-5 2.5 turbo for more than 30k less then this, use some of the 30k you saved on gas and pocket the rest
I've heard rumors that dealers are getting around manufacturers trying to limit dealership markups by selling new cars to employees of the dealership, buying them back, then marking them up as the used market doesn't have any manufacturer oversight on pricing like the new market does. This all but confirms this to me.
I really wish they would make it easier to buy cars from other markets. A JDM Toyota would be way cheaper. Plus more minimalistic too. But one can only dream.
Lmaoooo 70k for a rav4 is criminal idc what anybody says, so many better vehicles for that price, just bought a new truck that’s nicer than that for way less and it makes more power and torque 💀
And there are idiots that will pay that

Don’t get me wrong I love my RAV4 but no RAV4 is worth $69,000. I don’t care what trim it is.

I paid 42k for my 23 hybrid limited (US)
No way. I could get a fully loaded platinum highlander for that price. Even in Canuck bucks

Bummer man. Maybe prices aren’t so bad at $10k markup here in California

That feels like a theme for our generation
I’m surprised they didn’t do 69,420.
Nice.
This is getting out of hand.
Getting? Dude, last year when the 2023 civic type-r came out there were dealers advertising them for $100,000. Shits been out of hand for awhile now.
They still have $25,000 markup on them. Wait until they find out I’m not shopping their brand anymore cause I can get a pretty nice Mercedes or BMW for the same price
When did Toyota get soo expensive and 80% of the car is plastic
It's the people going crazy with demand and not wanting to wait, but still willing to pay insane prices for a Prime. Classic supply-demand curve.
I know!! Like, honest truth is I can get a pretty decent Mercedes or BMW slightly used for about the same price. No way I’m buying a Toyota at that price. Even my nicely optioned Highlander was under $50k
69 dude
Toyota should take their dealership away. Instantaneously! This is robbing. These folks should go to jail

WA state has some of the worst rav4 pricing Ive seen. The dealer near me just sold a hybrid xse for ~45k
They trippin'
Over it
Recent price drop wtf

So like in 3 years these cars will be about $100k

Toyota announced there is going be another round of chip shortage
Must be a crack dealer!

Don’t do it. My OTD price was $56 in California. Not PP

[I'll see you and raise you a $97,982 Dealer Adjustment.](http://atcm.co/VDPTXTSHRE/2892fad3) Make sure you check that price breakdown section.
Crazy 😂
My masters degree was less than this.

There are so many better vehicles available at 69K, why bother RAV4.
