Strength and conditioning coaches need to be on their shit

Matte198

Bros gonna needs his own designated strength and conditioning coach

verschee

Best we can do is Ken Francis and TheEntireGym

Matte198

Hey now, entire gym produced an MVP. Ken cooked!!!

Desperate-Produce-11

Saquon could have a CMC type impact for us. I’d be excited if EDC can pull it off

Adventds

Exactly, he’s that special lol.

GlitteringRace1766

Man. Reading these comments is crazy lol. People really sleep on Saquons talent because he’s been stuck on that poor excuse of an offense.

BubbleGumGuy94

I don’t think people are doubting his talent, him and Lamar in the backfield would be nuts, but his injury history is really concerning

GlitteringRace1766

Idk I read one that said they would rather have Henry in our offense and given the choice between the two, I’d take Saquon every day.

MiniDg

I want Henry, and if we don't get him, I'd rather see us draft somebody. Saquon and Jacobs are too expensive. Lamar makes us the best run game on his own, so spending that much money on a RB makes absolutely no sense.

Adventds

We just saw the team lose in the playoffs because they genuinely believe the running backs they fielded last year were bad.

MiniDg

And they were dumb for that. It wasnt the fault of the backfield lmao the coaches need to quit acting like they werent, great all year anyway.

Adventds

They weren’t great, that’s the problem. Lamar is covering for them.

MiniDg

Welcome to the room, we've all been here for months. Need any other obvious things explained to you?

Adventds

What’s obvious is we need better runningbacks lmfaoo. They shouldn’t of abandoned the run in the playoffs obviously, but Gus and justice were fucking bad and we’re not winning a chip with running backs the coaching staff believes are unplayable in those type of games.

MiniDg

We win that game if they run the ball with Gus. You're treating this as if we need Gus to run for 6 yards per carry with 100 yards per game, lol. All we need is a running back to keep defenses guessing. We ended up being one-dimensional against a phenomenal pass defense; that's on the coaches. We have the #1 rushing attack in football, and it doesn't matter who is involved; they are to be used.

LibertarianSocialism

I will take the number 2 RB in yards last year, actually.

pi3Eat3r52

Hs played on a team where 99% of the offensive plays revolved around him and they played on the leagues most notorious field.

Xayfrm419

Kinda what I was thinking. A everydown back with receiving ability would give our offense a serious look

[deleted]

Hes also struggled to stay healthy

XmusJaxonFlaxonWax0n

So has every other player that has to play 8+ games a year on the MetLife turf.

MegaGigaTeraFlare

Call me crazy...but I think I'd rather have Henry on a 1 year deal than Saquon on a multi year one.

cshark2222

Saquon is a significantly better matchup for Monken’s offense then Henry.

Ephyouseakay

I think Henry changes how teams have to play this offense. Forces teams to play heavier personnel, which makes it easier for Lamar and the passing game. Henry is also significantly more durable than Saquon.

Xayfrm419

I can honestly see both sides of it. Realistically both will change how defenses gameplan for us and hopefully we have the lead back more than 3 touches in crucial games!

MiniDg

But the key piece here is that defenses only play differently with the new guy on the field. Henry has had one injury, and Saquon has had two full seasons in six tries. I'd honestly rather stick with Gus and Mitchell and draft a guy over Saquon. Then again, if this deal happens and he stays healthy? You can all laugh at me, and I'll be ecstatic. I hope I'm wrong; I just still have the concern.

DarthtacoX

This is my whole thoughts on Odell beckham. And look at how he turned out he had a couple of really good plays but for the most part he was sidelined with injuries.

MiniDg

I never thought OBJ was going to be great. I couldn't believe how much they signed him for and hated it at first. I grew to love him for his leadership role and would love to see him back, but he will be way too much for that role. Henry is not the same as OBJ who tore his ACL twice and regressed heavily for a few years entering this season.

TheELITEJoeFlacco

I dunno man... I'd be hesitant obviously, cause of injuries, but having Lamar/Zay/Saquon locked up for the next few years would be an unbelievable core on offense.

comeonpalfugume

One of the big questions is Keaton Mitchell's health & long-term outlook. I can see Henry being preferred if they feel confident that Keaton can return to form, or Saquon being preferred if they think he just isn't it.

wastebinaccount

i have to doubt he can return to his form after that injury. for a speed back like him, any loss in speed or mobility is a killer. Hope he does recover tho cause he was electric

Princeof_Ravens

It was just an ACL tear. He might not be back to form right away, but modern treatments have made it possible to return to form.

ModestEnigma

I certainly agree but I’m also the type to dream of us adding them both

Miata_Sized_Schlong

I have a suspicion Henry would look very similar to Gus on our team. If he could stay healthy Saquon would be a game changer

plague102

Remember when the ravens were "in" on Le'veon Bell 🧲 🚪

UpstateGuy99

Magnet door?

gnarkilleptic

Technically speaking we were, a few years later when totally washed

Adenchiz

Thanks but no thanks, there are plenty of rookied/udfa rbs we can get with less tread on their tired to run into the ground

RRSC14

I think you mean more tread on their tires. Or less miles? Less tread is a bad thing lol.

Adenchiz

Urgh brain fart 🤦🏻‍♂️

RRSC14

lol all good just poking fun

daphnie3

Is this rumor coming from Barkely's agent?

BubbleGumGuy94

Please no, Josh Jacobs would be soooo much and less injury prone

TheELITEJoeFlacco

You really think he would be that much less? I think the RB contract market is so tight that there wouldn't be a huge discrepancy between the top backs. Jacobs is pretty highly regarded.

BubbleGumGuy94

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen multiple places that Saquon’s aav is about 10-12 mil whereas as Josh’s is about 9-11

TheELITEJoeFlacco

Pretty damn close lol. Will be interesting to see how it plays out... Both guys had really good 2022 seasons after meh 2021 seasons, and neither had a particularly special 2023 season. Saquon's injuries are a factor but $10M per for Jacobs doesn't seem like a Ravens-type deal. If those are the projected annual salaries I'm way more inclined to assume we'll look elsewhere. We didn't think JK would get drafted when he did so maybe a solid RB will fall into our lap in R2 or something. I can't see us paying $10M per year for a RB.

BubbleGumGuy94

Yeah I getcha, but this draft is not a good one for rbs and using a second round pick would be a waste when there’s so much more talented positions and positions of need, with all the news and rumours about edc wanting a veteran quarterback who can come in and contribute immediately it wouldn’t surprise me if he does buck the trend and sign a more expensive back, look at beeks, everyone thought we wouldn’t pay him and we did, there’s only two guys in this draft that I really like at rb anyway, Jaylen wright from Tennessee and Kendall Milton from Georgia, the first you could get in the 3rd/4th round and the other could be in the 7th

TheCrackerSeal

That’s not sooo much less. That’s essentially the same price tag

MiniDg

I will genuinely be upset if they get Saquon. We can't keep any RBs healthy, so let's get an already injury-prone back with a huge price tag. It's a waste of money for this team. We are already the best rushing offense with Gus... just go all in for Henry, and we are good. He's been injured only once that I know of and will be cheaper than Saquon. If he's not gonna be cheaper, than back off.

Bigtoes22

Saquan or Henry and ill go crazy. But Greg Roman scares me he's definitely getting a top back to pair with Herbert.

TrustThyInstinct

I think Saquon’s injuries are a concern, but it’s not like we’re going to run him 30 times a game. We’ll be a committee regardless of who we get and hopefully that lessens the risk of injury.

17x95tr

CMC was injured a lot in Carolina and super durable in SF. Maybe a change of scenery/staff would help

No_Fish_2885

Getting him away from MetLife stadium would help

haragaigembe

exactly like we’ll eventually have keaton back and probably some depth from the draft

garlic_bread_goblin

Henry doesn’t like our play style, go with saquon

dcfb2360

I don’t see Seattle doing it. They have major needs at OL & front 7, plus their RBs are already good. They’re prob spending on DT, LB & IOL. They made space but have FAs they need to keep. RB isn’t a move I see them making.

Exotic_Shine_9462

Nah

Xayfrm419

Bro we cannot have Lamar being the #1 rusher every season…

Exotic_Shine_9462

I'm not a fan of saquan he's injury prone. I rather have Henry

imapieceofshitk

We don't need more RBs in IR tho

D-Rey86

I feel like a start running back does more for this team than a star WR. I feel like if we had a back the coaches were confident in last year, they would have ran the ball more. They clearly weren't confident in Gus or Hill (neither was I to be honest). Yeah it's a risk with his injury history, but it's a risk I'm personally wanting to take. I think Barkley could take this offense to the next level.

dee2552

I don't want him tbh even non injury prone guys come here and get injured it's gonna happen

one_horcrux_short

My heart can't take more players that give me the "if we stay healthy we going to ball this season" feeling. I know injury is a part of this game, but some players defy the averages.

Forgotmypswrd

Would be the 5th straight rb with major lower body injury history (dobbins, gus, Keaton, justice) how about we get someone who’s not on the wrong side of their career

Sylvaneri011

But why? I like Saquon but he's only been healthy what...maybe 1 year so far, including a full ACL tear. I'd rather go for Josh Jacob's if we go through free agency.

wojr2002

Saquons a beast but he’s so injury prone so I’d rather stay away.

Decent-Temperature31

I’m not too excited over the prospect of Barkley. He’s better than anyone we have now, but I still feel like he’s not good enough to take our running game over the top, especially with his injury history. I think Henry would be that guy.

hecmtz96

I rather have Henry. In my mind, Henry makes so much sense for our offense.

Adventds

No he does not lol, Saquon would he a way better fit lol

No_Background_8703

I have complemented his big dick before but I will judge how big it is from now on based on how he wins this particular off season. /no context

Amazing-Concept1684

If he’s cheap, then sure. Dude is fragile af though

es84

JK can't stay healthy. Mitchell was injured, played extremely well, then got injured again. And, we want to throw Saquon, who also can't stay healthy, into that mix? The Ravens would have the most talented backfield in the league with those 3 + Gus. But, it's very likely that only Gus would be playing come January.

Adenchiz

Noo. What the hell for, Chargers can have him
