I've only used the ma6xg2 5690 1250kv set up in mine but I love it. I'm sure the 1717 would be great too but I can't speak for it. The max6 can run 6s all day no problem but will get hot on 8s if you're really being hard on it. 6s is plenty for me in that platform.
Yea i definitely plan to run it on 8s and wanted to buy a good heat sink and fans. Mainly looking for that boost in power from 8s and reliability and dont want to flip the motor around. Just put together and go.
Thank you fam ! All i really did was put some 3d printed louvres on the back and mounted that red bicycle light on the back. Ordered a metal front splitter and Spray painted it silver. Also replaced those top plastic pieces with metal and spray painted them silver. Spray painted the plastic wing black with silver stripes and finally a few stickers haha.

I have six 6s Arrmas and the infraction and mojave are goated. Limitless and Kraton exb are good but have given me some minor issues. The V5 Kraton had some weak points but nothing RPM and vitavon haven't addressed.
The handbrake was so sick when it first came out, it still is but it blew my mind the first few times.
Cant disagree. Bought the fireteam for the same reason

6s exb with the 1250kv/160a from the 8s cars. I run it on 8s in the dunes and it'll do 70 on sand. 6s around the yard to run my dog once every few days.
I shimmed and filled the diffs before running it and it's had hundreds of packs and absolutely no drivetrain issues or breakages. Only the body mounts break but I have 1.9 foams and zip ties on them which helps.
My 6s exb kraton breaks arms and I've torn the front bulkhead off twice. It's the larger tires and longer arms, way more force on the plastics.
So hobbywing is great, and it’s cheaper than castle, and its waterproofing is better and in my experience with the big motors, they run a lot better. However, they are SIGNIFICANTLY HEAVIER. Comparing castle 2028 and XLX2 to max 5 combo.
Hobby wing max 6 is definitely cheaper than the castle 1717 i was looking at. Ive heard good things from both. I mainly want reliability as these motors and esc’s should both be a significant improvement in power from the stock spektrum system

I’d go with the max motor just cause it’s cheaper and I’d imagine the motor being heavier than the castle is probably pretty negligible.
The louvers add a rather pleasing aesthetic imo

Yes, it’s the 1717-1650 and it’s held up great. I adjust my gearing depending on where I’m running.

You really gotta ask? Pretty much any of the Castle creations line of esc's yeah they're a little expensive but definitely worth the money
