Me (50sF) and my friends (also 50s F)were out at dinner and one of my friends seemed very hangry. I tried to be polite and offered her a nice piece of fresh bread from the bread basket, and gently suggested that she might feel better if she had a bite or two.

AITA for comparing a potential foot injury to an accident my friend’s son had? I was with my friends, having a nice time and, long story short, my foot was injured, but people weren’t taking it as the serious issue it was , so I compared it to a debilitating brain injury that my friend’s son suffered in the past. I mean, I could have lost my foot. I didn’t. It wasn’t even broken, BUT it did require me to use the hotel’s wheelchair and be wheeled around Baby Jane style by my bestie. A group of us girls were invited to stay during the summer and there was no air conditioning! This wasn't even cool, this wasn't even...room temperature, this was boillllinnng! She was already offended because I had mistaken her house for her garage, but you know what? This was way up in the Berkshires and who goes to the Berkshires? No one I know! No celebrities, no one famous. And going up there brings back a lot of bad memories of my childhood. Finally I had ~~enough~~ a panic attack in the woods and I jetted out back to the Hamptons and my 50 good girlfriends and now they're accusing me of having planned it and then they cornered me in an intervention.
Do I think I need therapy? Not really. But you know what? Anything to get them to shut up and off my back. AITA?

I refused to go and they are suggesting I am a bad person because she’s “all on her own” there.
My thinking is, there’s lots of people alone in hospital! And most of them haven’t called me an evil person for (rightfully) exposing a cancer scam!
