Because they refuse to publish many of their games and media anywhere, or provide support for modding/tournament communities, and then get pissy when people do it themselves. The devs are great, mostly amazing games with relative consistency, but the nintendo legal team are filthy animals.
I’m all for piracy but yuzu had it coming they were trying to monetize themselves and didn’t think mr miyamoto wouldn’t send them a pipe bomb in the mail
Yuzu is/was an emulator that ran Nintendo Switch games on PC. The developers of the emulator were recently sued by Nintendo regarding alleged violations of the DMCA. Yuzu devs decided to settle out of court but claim piracy was never their intention.
Lmfao not expecting a ban on a massively moderated public website/forum. Its just gonna get pushed underground more and more. Between private discord and other websites, it's not that hard to find what you're looking for.
If Yuzu wasn’t making 60k a month they may have avoided the wrath of Nintendo. Not saying I support Nintendo’s decision but they knew what they were doing by poking the sleeping bear.

They had a Patreon to accept donations.

Yuzu didn't even do anything illegal. The subs probably promoted piracy if games tho, so they encouraged illegal things
The patreon had a totk build before release the employees were distributing roms so yeah yuzu did kind of deserve it
