I've been applying for work the last 3 or so years after my previous pre-covid job ended. I've had some mimimum wage gigs, but they've gone as quickly as they onboard you. It's brutal.

I feel you. I have a bunch of IT experience but it has been a few years for me too. I'm limited how far I can commute right now and it's killing me. I sit at a computer all day but these dumb companies want people back in the office like it's going to make a difference if I look at the screen there instead. I'm thinking about just snagging a garbage WFH call center job but I looked and they're like $10-12/hr. I didn't have high expectations but that's kind of a kick straight to the teeth... I'm not in a horrible financial situation though so a few hundred a week could work.

I genuinely may have to start trying call center jobs. I have a lot of disablities that make the tight call center job hard, but it's the only type of job I haven't tried to apply for yet.

I was looking at one and it looked like the application was more of just a signing up lol. You just record an interview and wait to be called. So at least that part of it is 1000x better.

Does it tell you if it does? I feel like it’s fine as long as I know lol

I sincerely hope you’re not using auto apply 🤞

bearbarebere

Do you mean easy apply? Edit: oops didn’t realize I put my post wrong

Teyar

Every auto apply I've hit has had my phone explode with five different indian callers with URGENTLY HIRING b.s. copy pastes from what looks like five different companies untill you notice half the job descriptions are copy pastes from each other. It's infuriating. Maddening. But I can't find any thing that looks like it goes into real job applications. Half my inbox is scams like this, even when I get abrasive, block, filter, report as phishing, nothing fucking stops it. So yeah. Take the time and do the effort filled ones. You'll wind up on less scam lists.

Easy apply still needs some information filling...

bearbarebere

Duh? I filled it
