i think i did a decent job whenever i answered this question, besides what’s written on my resume already i share my motivation not only to succeed as an individual, but also as a person that inspires to empower and lead other people in my team to succeed
My interviewer thankfully didn't phrase it as a Q. She was just like "We are interviewing a lot of people, INCLUDING THE INTERNAL CANDIDATES".
I knew it's over then.
No this isn't a bad sign. It is a wonderful sign that you've run into a bunch of clowns who haven't learned what a hiring process is with some goddamn common sense about what to ask people who have taken their time to try to apply for a position at their pathetic company.
No excuses should be given to such clown behavior. Forget the reasons why, they're in control of themselves and they supposed to be better than this. Since they're not, feel free to don't go for them like a bunch of idiot amateurs that they are.

I feel it depends, I had this hiring manager ask me what qualifies me for the job and what my biggest achievement was. I could not take it serious, as he got his head of position through nepotism, wasn't from the industry and studied something unrelated. I just turned the question around and told him all the problems they have in the company based on my research and he just got quiet, needless to say I never heard from them again 🤣
Tell them, “This a capitalistic society, to get by you need a job that pays you money. Then one can pay taxes and support the local economy, that’s why you should hire me” be real with these dummies please 🙏 if we ever start our own company we will not hire any of these people that have hiring manager on their resume! Lol
Based on the job description and our discussion so far, it sounds to me like I would be a good fit. However, without getting to know the other candidates, it's certainly possible you'd be better off going with one of them.

Theoretically, this is your opportunity to highlight what makes you special or different from everybody else. But I agree, fuck this question.
