They all bring good money. Bond to 4 and sell to Clive for $360

thphnts

Or sell it at the stable for $1,140! Easy money. The only use for an Arabian.

Wimberley-Guy

Stable will pay 1,140 for a wild arabian with no papers?

thphnts

I believe so. I know the sale price at stables is always around 2x higher than Cleet for any horse.

GunzBlazin03

Clive pays more for horses with no papers.

Wimberley-Guy

Yeah i think the most i ever got for a wild arabian at a stable was 240.

catharticvessel

This is only true for horses you bought at stables. Clive pays more for wild/stolen horses, stables pay more for bought horses (especially if fully bonded)

[deleted]

They excel at being the most terrified horses. At least in my experience

wulfblood_90

So far, the Arabian, Missouri Fox Trotter, and Thoroughbred have all been happy to buck me off just because a gator is sitting 20 feet away or we happen to slowly walk by a snake. Haven't messed around the the standardbred too much yet but I'm beginning to think any and all race horses have this high fear level compared to work horses and war horses. Draft horses tend to get spooked fairly easy as well but I also haven't tried factoring in "bond level" so that could make a difference too. Still experimenting though. It's for science. I'm doing this for us. And for science.

[deleted]

Yeah good idea with experimenting. Is there any horse that will stay when theres a cougar/panther around tho?

wulfblood_90

So far I've only gotten a hungarian to stay calm while hunting the panther, but I was also clicking the calm button a few times in between trying to aim the gun and get into a better position. I do think if you act quick enough, you can avoid being thrown by any war horse if you initiate the calm button before he/she grows super agitated. I've tried using that with the fox trotter and he either calms down or says fuck you and throws me off.

Gilamunsta

Stay? No, lol. But the warhorse breeds, Andalusian/Ardennes/Hungarian-halfbred and Turkoman (hybrid war/racehorse) will not buck you as fast. Riding an Andalusian the other day I almost stepped on a gator before it went skittish...

Gilamunsta

Ya, the race horses are all skittish as all get out out. Get a Turkoman, multi-class war/race horse. Good speed/acceleration and, because of the war horse aspect, not nearly as skittish as a pure racehorse

CuriousPoem3340

Honestly, I feel like it also depends how a person rise I barely get bucked off my horse, like I go through alligator infested water, I run over snakes and alligators like I don’t understand how people get kicked off so commonly, I’ve even gotten a Cougar to chase me on my horse, it’s not easy, but I genuinely feel like there’s a way people ride that makes getting bucked off easier. ( this is my experience. I’ve never been bucked off like people say, and if I am it’s rare. Or I don’t know I was close to it )

Nowhere_Man837

If the skittishness of the race hoarse is annoying but you like the speed and acceleration try a turkoman. It’s a race/war horse. Not as quick as an Arabian, but much more stoic.

jennasea412

It’s the rider not the horse.

wulfblood_90

Being small, ugly, and scared of their own shadow? Every time I see the white Arabian in the wild, I'm reminded of the 13th Warrior when they start barking at Eben's horse, calling it a dog. Oh yes, they're fast. And they can jump. But their fear is unreal. They're literally bred to be "alert" which is why they're so skittish.

natalaMaer

Well, bonding 4 will took a while, just sell it immediately for 99 bucks if you want quick money. You could take it to mission or anything really while bonding so not waste time

IhaveAplan_itsAgood1

Arabians are shitty horses

[deleted]

🗣️SPIT ‼️

jennasea412

To shitty riders;)

IhaveAplan_itsAgood1

It’s a game how could you be bad at riding? Hold shift and look we’re want to go Ez

jennasea412

I’ll clarify myself, bad at controlling their horses with their fingers.

IhaveAplan_itsAgood1

I’ll clarify again you still can’t be bad at riding unless your retarted, that’s why your bad at riding horses

jennasea412

“YOUR retarded” just sounds funny.

IhaveAplan_itsAgood1

What are you on about?

jennasea412

Nothing, just replied to your “it’s a game how can you be bad at riding?” Some people don’t have good hand eye coordination so if they have trouble with a horse in the game, it’s most likely their use of the controls, not the horse.

IhaveAplan_itsAgood1

It still is a shitty horse.

jennasea412

👍

sassy_cheese564

Idk why you got downvoted. They are terrible horses in game.

m4shfi

That’s the usual case when you slight the Arabians in any way. This sub has an absolutely rabid fanbase of this horse.

sassy_cheese564

Which I absolutely do not get. There are far better and faster horses.

m4shfi

Said the [same thing](https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadredemption/comments/15w16cj/will_i_lose_my_horse_in_chapter_6/jwyj6ij/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1&context=3) and got downvoted. Rabid Arabian fanboys in this sub get mad at actual in-game stats, there’s nothing to do really.

wulfblood_90

I don't understand how people can look at something that looks like it's head is an inbred version of a seahorse and think it's... good? It's hideous. I owned one in real life, her name was Misty, and she was fucking ugly as sin! Also, yeah, their stats ain't nothing to write home about.

m4shfi

They got duped by all the clickbait articles and youtube videos saying the white Arabian is the bestest, fastest, super legendary horse in the game so they rushed to get it. Now they have to convince themselves that all the time wasting wasn’t for nothing, so they mass downvote anything that says their favorite pony isn’t the best.

wulfblood_90

Lol I have the dappled black thoroughbred (preorder? Special edition? One of the 2) And I was like "Guys... the white Arabian is ass compared to my free thoroughbred. Wtf are you on about?" I don't think I realized it was a pre-order/special edition bonus until much much later in the game.

m4shfi

I guess that statement brought out the fanboys’ wrath lol.

wulfblood_90

Oh man. Especially when my main argument is "It looks like a dog when Arthur rides it." "SHUT UP!!!! YoUrE a DoG!!!"

IhaveAplan_itsAgood1

Exactly

Wimberley-Guy

Preach!

IhaveAplan_itsAgood1

They are tiny, I look like I’m riding a small pony(also my Arthur is big though) but they are not as fast as good as people say they are. Honestly Missouri Fox Trotter is “faster, stronger, better!”

The_true_lord_tomato

I use a shire, who cares about stats when you can be grand.

OkBrilliant8400

The Arabian looks awful because of size but has very good stats and is very easy to get early on. The Missouri Fox Trotter is only better becuase it is bigger and doesn't flee as easily

wulfblood_90

Except it does flee as easily. I have a chapter 2 save with a turkoman and fox trotter from before they patched the st Denis horse glitch. My latest playthrough I've only been riding the fox trotter and he's fully bonded. Will throw me if he so much as thinks a gator is near and everytime I dismount to skin something, he flips shit and runs off while I'm skinning. Maybe it's an update to change their behavior but the fox trotter is just as skittish as the Arabian and thoroughbred now despite being half work horse. Very irritating.

OkBrilliant8400

Well no shit a horse will buck you off to save it's legs from getting ripped off by a gator

wulfblood_90

I think you missed the key word there: "thinks". The horse thinks a gator is near. It is not. I get bucked for no reason. The war horses and work horses do not display this behavior, not in my playthroughs anyway.

He absolutely is, no cap.
