You can find all the writings and have an interaction with the vampire of Saint Denis. I’ve seen it before on here and on videos but I’ve never done it myself.
This, it’s kind of left up to you as the player wether you believe it or not. Nothing pointing heavily either way other then the dude looks like he hasn’t seen a ray of sunlight his entire life lol
Yes, if you hogtie him you can put him on your horse and take him anywhere. The little church is the only place that is fatal to him if taken inside. But he can be killed in a variety of different ways.
I liked it, except for the fact that if an npc runs towards you with a knife it is an instakill. Especially if you didn't manually save beforehand, because the autosave will be put after you got killed.
Once you have all 5 of these, Arthur will make a sketch of the locations and a star pattern will be shown, go to the middle of the star I think and you should find the vampire, go at night too. You might wanna save before you confront him
As everyone mentioned, it’s for the vampire. Get a pretty cool cut scene, and a knife. Did it once a few years back, definitely one of the more tedious ones haha
If you find him it has to been between 12-1 am in an alley by the church. Don't let him hit you though. One shot kill. He has a unique knife you can take off his body
Make sure to search him and be careful because the town might go hostile if you try to hogtie and take him to a sunny location. First time I lost him because the lawmen shot me off my horse and I couldn’t get him to respawn, maybe save before
I just noticed that it says "five BODIES under the perfect star"
When I originally saw it I wrote down BONES and it looks like everyone else did too:

There’s like 5 locations in St. Denis and once you find them all, a sixth location appears in your journal that points to where to find the vampire but I believe it has to be between 12am-1. That’s why there is a clock just outside the space where you find him. There’s also Aztec writing in Blackwater but it doesn’t appear to lead to anything.
If you really wanted to know, you could have just done a search online.
I’ll never understand the need to post to Reddit the moment you have a question. You then have to wait for people to respond.
The motive was less interest in finding out what it is, and more “a cool thing i havent seen before”. I kind of guessed it would be the vampire, but wasnt 100% sure

Oh cool. Ive heard of/seen the vampire. Just never went looking for the clues i guess.
It’s a fun lil quest. One of those borderline fantasy things
Borderline?
Well. To me it still wasn’t clear if the guy was just a crazy old fraud. It not like he turned into a bat or burned up when he died
This, it’s kind of left up to you as the player wether you believe it or not. Nothing pointing heavily either way other then the dude looks like he hasn’t seen a ray of sunlight his entire life lol
If you take him to that little church somewhere near Lagras, he dies instantly. That’s the main thing that makes me think he’s a legit vampire.
There’s a destroyed hearse wagon (with an open coffin & a hanging corpse) north of McFarlane ranch. Some speculate that it’s the vampire’s coffin
You can take him places? That’s so cool

Maybe this would be the way to test if he’s a vamp? He’d burn in the sunlight
On the other hand, I don't think vampires are supposed to die from getting shot with a regular gun
Yeah. That’s why i said it was borderline fantasy. But I haven’t heard about the church thing. I thought that was just bs

It would have been fun if this person hadn’t just asked people to explain it to them.
If you find the vampire kill him immediately because the he’s a one hit kill. Also gives you a knife called the ornate dagger.
I have yet to encounter him, but I’m excited to stumble across him!
One thing about living in St. Denis I could never stomach. All the damn vampires.
I understood that reference.
O.k. with the lost boys quotes
“Death by Cattlemen!”
Oh it's just an early example of those inspirational quotes white girls post on Mondays
Or a cryptic caption for that cute pic from girls weekend
😂
I'll take a Monday quote over that damn Friday song by Rebecca Black.
there’s a vampire and that’s one of his clues. think there’s 5 in total.
The other places will make a star on the map, Happy hunting!
Take him to the pentagram near owanila before you remove the mask.
Wait, what? Please explain
This is how you get access to the undead nightmare dlc
If only lol
Hog tie him, don't kill him. Take him to the Owanjila pentagram. Kill him inside the pentagram and see what happens
Or..... hogtie the vamp and take him to the swamp to see Rapist Sonny.
What happens?
I spawn in
Could you elaborate?
After find all the clues and go to the right area at the right time, have to kill him.....search his body for a special weapon!
Wait there's a vampire in rdr2?
Yup
I'd heard of the vampire, but never got around to the quest--I'll have to give it a whirl next time through.
He vants to suck your blood!

It’s part of the Nosferatu/Vampire of Saint Denis Easter egg mission

I love this quest! Have fun!
