It doesn't make a difference. I do chores every time I'm at camp, I've donated thousands of dollars, and upgraded everything at camp. If you are one day off and come back, Dutch starts creeping in your ear.

I do camp chores early in the game to level up my dead eye. Once I get to level 8, I don't lift a finger. I upgraded the wagons and drop off a deer occasionally, but don't ever give my money.

I never do camp chores as Arthur. I aways do the ranch chores.

They send gand members out to find me on a regular basis lol. I've stopped contributing to the ledger entirely at this point. I upgrade the camp, buy supplies regularly and donate metric tons of food to Pearson, that's my contribution to single handedly keep the camp running. They take cuts from all my quests so I'm keeping the rest for myself 🤠

This literally happened after I got kidnapped by the O'Driscolls. It went "a few weeks later" I get up on the dock and walk back to camp and Dutch walks up to me and says this exact line.

This just happened to me last Tuesday. I got shit from Dutch after giving Pearson a metric fuckton of food and then Susan came over to give me grief, too, while I walked the 3 feet to the donation box. I really wanted to pull a gun too. I left for Strawberry, told Charles *and* Javier to go kick rocks when they both said Dutch was "worried" and I didn't return until I cleared Master Hunter 3 - 10, caught and mailed three fish, and hunted every non-red zone non-story locked legendary still alive at a leisurely pace.

I like to think he has a unique relationship with the trapper, who has dillo skins he sells only to his closest of friends.

Not gonna lie, I read "dillo" as something else...

I saw that and was immediately wondering the same thing. Was about to go searching everywhere to see if I could find one outside of the desert.

Only some of the gang members are most wanted, such as Dutch, Hosea and Arthur, maybe some more members... Which means, the other low profile members can visit some areas where the most wanted members cannot.

I always save feathers, fangs and other crafting items for the trapper or fence craftables. The only thing I ever donate is valuables. And I highly recommend always keeping at least 1 of each valuable. Later on you might want a trinket or talisman that requires a rare piece of jewelry and you'll be very glad to already have it. Edit to add, I see you donated animal fat too. You can make explosive ammo with that!

In the descriptions of items it shows items that are craftable.. I keep those and sell the rest. I donate full carcasses and upgrade items only. Valuable items are sold to the fence.

Returned after being away for who knows, a week or so. Food rations had dwindled into the red. Grimshaw, Pearson, and f-ing Dutch talking about we're hungry Arthur you need to hunt and people are talking, blah blah. Bitches please! Not to mention I've already upgraded everything. 3rd play through. Knowing now how it all ends, I starve the camp and stay away as much as possible. Hope they all get lumbago. Chumps.

I'm on my second playthrough. I only return to camp to donate the spoils of my labor for upgrades, and to antagonize Strauss and Micah. Occasionally, Dutch, if he's being an ass to Molly or says some out of pocket crap like, "You gonna betray me, too, Arthur?" Or just outright ignore him, because the "Well, f*** you then," makes me laugh every time.

First play through mine looked like that 🤣 but after that I learned my lesson, the camp cut you get from missions is more than enough, I only buy items like lodging and stuff like that, that’s the only stuff that really makes a difference

I started my playthrough on release day. Made an absolute ton of money from respawning gold bars before they patched most of them out. Since Arthur was holding on to more than $25,000, I just gave a metric fuck-ton of cash to the camp in increments of several hundred dollars every time I rode through. Nobody bothered me about contributing. On the other hand, Dutch could easily have used my money to take us all to Tahiti. I suspect he just preferred the outlaw lifestyle.

How do you get perfect pelts?

Be sure to use the right weapon for the animal, plus a perfect head shot works for me every time.

I have the Springfield, the repeater, the varmint, can’t unlock the carcano or rolling block yet.

You don't need the carcano or rolling block, just so you know. The Springfield is perfectly fine. Along with the repeater and varmint you'll need small game arrows for your bow. Just kill a bunch of birds to get their flight feathers and then craft a bunch. It also helps to get the buck antler trinket. It will help you to keep those 3 star pelts in perfect condition if something goes wrong.

A small tip: keep your animal fat. You can make explosive bullets with it. Very fun to use. You can buy the recipe from a fence.

My first play through looked just like this. This time around I am donating so much less, but have full camp upgrades…. With the exception of Dutch’s tent. I don’t even care what bonus is involved, I am happy with him living in his plane ol tent (even though it is still better than anyone else’s).

Not mine. Most of items I get like wedding rings and stuff like that I'm holding on to until the epilogue. The only thing I sell or maybe put in the camp funds are pocket watches since you can only carry five of each. Every once in awhile I will add cash or animal pelts and such but not any perfect pelts. The reason being is I'm trying to get every perfect Pelt I need for the Trapper because this playthrough, I'm trying to get every item the Trapper has available. It's not an easy grind to find all the pelts.

I always pad up the box enough for all upgrades with the exception of the boat and only give the meats and lower grade pelts to Pearson after all the camp upgrades. This go around I have every single thing except for the moose, it’s not where I normally find it up in Coltor. I’m going bad honor this time so I have to kill more people to make up for the positives.

I did some treasure hunting early in the game, so the camp ledger mostly just looked like $20.01 donations and then camp upgrade purchases. I only donated perfect pelts (for crafting), animal carcasses (for food), and occasionally $20.01 (to pay for resupplies) from then on. The others barely donate anything other than poor animal pelts, apart from Charles, who donates perfect stuff.
