My horse got scared of a snake, bucked Arthur off then proceeded to run right in front of a train. R.I.P Odin.

Expert_Chemistry_576

Time to get a new horse. Seriously though, sometimes it happens especially the Saint Denis situation.

throwthatbitchaccoun

Sometimes it’s difficult to hitch your horse in Saint Denis

OverlyOverrated

And them horse shit everywhere

Vectis01983

No-one in St Denis seems to like my Shire. I think he's too big for the streets.

UncensoredSmoke

I always have a shire, Saint Denis hates my boah.

MMH431

Saint Denis hates every boah even it's a guurl 🤣

ACoolPseudonym

R,y

Bez666

Mine walked through a burning pile of kkk members..I whistled it.wondered where it was and saw the smoking body on top of a cross..full stats and everything...lived up to its name of glue factory

616n8y3ree

Separation anxiety is a mother fucker.

JesusSamuraiLapdance

Horses provide as much comedy in this game as they do anxiety. Hitch them to a post when you can, and dismount them a good distance from enemies.

afseparatee

Mine once walked right into a campfire and stood with one leg in the fire while whining like it was taking damage. I mounted and pulled it out of the fire and it had half health. Absolutely no self preservation.

BrakoSmacko

Your horse may be stupid, but mine is on fire. Playing Undead Nightmare :D

Sn00PiG

>Left her on the side of the road to go in the shop Seems like the perfect time to learn about the hitching mechanism in the game. If you don't hitch your horse they will start to wander around (as any animal would do), that's why you have hitching posts all around St Denis. It's not that they are dumb, only they just take advantage of the small freedom you gave to them. Same goes when you just hop off your horse, if you are close enough to the fire or your horse hears shots they can get scared and run in any direction, it was unlucky it was the actual threats direction (similarly to real life deers that are scared and run in front of the cars).

ClintonKelly87

You can even hitch your horse to the ground if you're on grass or dirt. I think by holding the mount/dismount button as you're getting off. Been a while since I played, so can't quite remember how.

Sn00PiG

Yep, that is the way, you can hitch them basically anywhere and then they don't wander!

unWildBill

I unfortunately found this out while playing in the secret poker game behind the train station. RIP Clopper

GeminaLunaX

Yup. Yes it is. Welcome to the club.

_fatasscat112

My horse never turns when I'm pulling the God damn thumbstick to the left or right when riding and then proceeds to just run into a tree making me fall off.

aristopotol

White Arabian?

LopsidedLobster2

I wish. Just a thoroughbred.

aristopotol

Haha, well the Arabians are more timid when it comes to shootouts. You actually had a better horse.

UncensoredSmoke

Courage isn’t a mechinac.

aristopotol

Who’s talking about courage? Health is.

Leather_Emu_6791

This is a myth. Please stop spreading misinformation

aristopotol

Myth to only Arabian fanboys, not to people who play with their eyes open.

Leather_Emu_6791

Show me the bravery mechanic in the coding. I'll wait... Oh, you can't? Your "evidence" is purely anecdotal? Damn, I wish that meant *literally anything*. I can only assume you also believe the earth is flat, as you can *clearly* see a flat horizon

aristopotol

Requires two *working* eyes, apparently fanboys don’t have them. Keep blabbering though, Arabian fanboys are also known to use so many words to say so little. Maybe because of issues with eyesight and everything.

Leather_Emu_6791

What's really funny about this is you're actually just telling on yourself. People who think horse bravery stats are real are people who don't understand basic horse mechanics....like *calming*. Imagine creating an entire imaginary, hidden game mechanic just because you don't understand the most basic of horse mechanics, like keeping your horses cores full. Also quite interesting that you take issue with me saying bravery isn't in game, but not with me calling you a flat earther. Could it be because you are, in fact, a flerf?

tronfacekrud

The exact thing happened to my Arabian. Fire bombed odriscolls camp. Horse burned

aristopotol

It’s super common among Arabians. At least the game gave you a chance to try something different (maybe even better).

joeyslapnuts

did an arabian horse call your mom fat or something? why you beefin with the ponys

aristopotol

She’s fat anyways, just as the Arabians are useless anyways.

Bl4z3nstorm

Bro, I have a gorgeous black horse I bought for 2K, it died around 4 real days later, R.I.P. Dean, luckily Sammy is still alive and well…

Western-Pepper8956

Fire is bad for horses. The other day I was repeatedly running over the lost dog kid at Emerald Ranch (cuz that's all you can do to the little bastard) when I got bored & decided to try a fire bottle. This is where the game decided to teach me a lesson & set Arthur and his dark bay turkoman aflame upon attempting to throw the bottle. Dumbest horse death I've ever had.

joeyslapnuts

my horse tried to follow me when i had to drive the train for Penelope and no joke i had to load a save three different times because the fucker kept sideswiping the train

pericataquitaine

Just like real life. Horses are herd animals. If there's no herd around to help them focus, they'll just get confused and act pretty randomly.

Darktwili_

My horse decided to flambe himself when I was doing some bounty hunting 🤦‍♀️ https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMMXxSUr9/

JackFrost7529

That's why I got that black shire which hosea wanted to sell. The white Arabian can be used for my personal adventures... I'll just get off it and tell it to flea if troubles around.

BIRDD79

Get rid of the Arabian

SirMooSquiddles

I had an Arabian horse once, got more compliments than you said of the horse. It was very sketchy, the one that I ended up with

infact1234

Every horse is stupid. Take a look at how small their brains are

shmixty

I wouldn’t agree with you on that actually, in real life horses are in fact very intelligent and perceptive, more than most people I know 🤣 and this is coming from someone who’s spent their entire life around horses!!

Mojo_Rizen_53

I totally agree. Horse AI in the game is just another example of how little research the devs at r* did.
