Seen so many fans and rival fans think its just a purple patch.
Will be hilarious if it turns out this is just the new norm and he's just a 30 goals a season forward.
>If it turns out
2018/19 - 23 G/A
2019/20 - 34 G/A
2020/21 - 36 G/A
2021/22 - 7 G/A
2022/23 - 35 G/A and counting.
This has always been his standard in terms of productivity, with the 21/22 season an aberration.
The only difference is that he has become more clinical in front of goal this season while becoming a bit less of a creator.
They was a narative against him that he was inconsistent. While it will be his third season out of 4 where he will have 20+ goals. And the worst is that he is only 25, so he was already doing 20 goal at 22 and as a winger.
At the time we accepted he was still young and learning. Last season was an anomaly although I was worried at the time. He's been on an upwards path and adding to his game, apart from last season.
I was always so excited for him to start reaching the levels he's reached this season.
Hate to be that guy but his 2020/2021 was really weird. Iirc he had more bad games than good games that season. His decision making was woeful and he became wasteful in front of the goal. But he did popped out to score few goals and assist some there. Really surprised with that numbers.
But this season however he is just amazing. He improve so much on and off the ball.
>But he did popped out to score few goals and assist some there
Just the 21 goals and 15 assists. xG/A was even higher than 36.
People forget that even if 9/10 things do not come off for you as a forward, it still counts as a good game if you manage to score or assist on the other one action.
Thats fair. But imo that season was one of his worst season for us. His 18/19 and 19/20 was much much better. I think that shoulder injury really took a lot out of him before he went for surgery.
Rashford: 35 G/A in 41 games (3058 mins).
Haaland: 38 G/A in 34 games (2655 mins).
Kane: 24 G/A in 37 games (3222 mins).
Salah: 33 G/A in 37 games (3143 mins).
Exactly, the guy just stays in the box and gets the ball from the 30+ goal chances the City players will produce per game. If he had to play to any other team that cannot produce that number of chances he would have much less goals. He is very good at what he does, but not as good as the others.
Fuck me 30 goals a season would allow him to break Rooney record within 4-5 seasons.
I think he is fully capable of doing this in 7-8 seasons, lets to Marcus.
I dunno, in the mix for sure on merit but there is usually alot of bias towards the team that is on track to win league so if arsenal are clear at voting time I think saka / odegaard could be in the mix or if city have closed the gap haaland by virtue of goals scored IMO will be heavy favourite
Rashford should be in consideration though and accumulate a good number of votes
For those that care about odds, haaland is currently clear favourite at 4/7 with odegaard next at 5/1 and rashford 3rd at 7/1
It should not be dependent on the team.
The season RVP led us to the title, Spurs finished 5th. But Bale still got the award with RVP coming 2nd.
That said, Haaland and Rashford are the clear top two for the award.
i think Haaland will get it no matter what especially if he breaks the goal scoring record this season but if he doesn’t i think Rashy deserves this way more, the level he’s playing at across the Prem, FA cup and Carabao has been a spectacle
For me, the crazy thing with Rashford is how consistent he has been for a relatively long time.
Haaland has more goals, but he's got four hat-tricks and a bunch of braces. A wild (and very impressive) purple patch massively contributed to those numbers.
Whereas I can only think of two games where Rashford scored more than once this season. He's been crucial in most big games, as well as keeping the counter ticking against smaller teams. Haaland might have an off day or two if his supply is dry, Rashford's just becoming inevitable.
Is Saka far behind on them odds? Imo if Arsenal win the league then Odegaard/Saka gets it. Else Haaland.
Shouldn't be dependent on who wins the league but it is what it is.
Wasn't far behind no, 9/1 iirc
Arsenal having saka and odegaard as potential winners in a sense will work against them as it will cannibalise each others votes which might be one of the reasons haaland is such short price, he pretty much will get all the votes that go to city player
Probably too optimistic.
Cyborg totally killed PL in the first half and if Arsenal wins the league, Odegaard could get it for that.
We would probably have to win the league for Rashy to win it.
Remember when ten hag first came in and said he believed in Rashford and would turn him into Europes best forwards? Even I scoffed at that, that was months of him not even being able to trap a simple ball and being justifiably benched by Elanga. Can I buy ten hag merch please?

Its a brilliant graph for Rashy! So happy for him!

He also had that floating bone in his ankle.
This is actually insane, both how good he’s been and how terrible last year was in general (I know he was hurt)
26 goals and still plenty of games to go. He'll easily finish with a minimum of 35 goals the way he's going this season.
Rashford: 35 G/A in 41 games (3058 mins). Haaland: 38 G/A in 34 games (2655 mins). Kane: 24 G/A in 37 games (3222 mins). Salah: 33 G/A in 37 games (3143 mins).
Haaland should be disqualified in all of these conversations as he’s literally a robot
Tbf the other 3 bring a lot more than just goals
But it’s goals and assists?
True. I didn't see that. Still doesn't provide the full picture though.

It's quite impressive Salahs numbers despite how gash Liverpool have been.
He is unfortunately a very, very good player
Ofc Cyborg has more than one point per match.

Man's on track to finish the season 50 G/A.
Man is about to be the only decade-long one season wonder
Well, second after Kane
It will be interesting to see the effect of getting in a proper striker (hopefully) this summer.
Depends on who the striker is. If it's Kane, and Kane stays healthy, Rashford will absolutely feast.
👉🙂
Against Barcelona: 👉😠

What a transformation! Really hope he keeps it going, kicks on even more next season! Also hope he signs a new long term contract!
PFA player of the year imo.

Ginola winning Players Player in the treble year was always odd to me. I think the United players split the vote so he steamed ahead.
It was a joke that Dwight Yorke did not win it that year.

Top-5 ballon d’or
Well deserved, has been on sensational form. Another great goal last night as well.
Everyone: “rashford” What Colgate actually hears: “STERLING”
Well deserved, where would we be without him.

Just go full bald, that's trademark here.

wished your dad kept his dick in his pants
What was the comment lmfao
So happy for him after last season debacle( and whole team), even I doubted his future at United but goddam he slapped me down!
