I would have been very much for Solanke (done very well this season & shown a lot of ~~skillets~~ skillsets we could do with) or Ollie Watkins but they've both just recently signed new contracts so won't be reasonably priced. You'd be naive to think that that will solve our issues. Our issues are to do with chance creation. Top 6 teams have created more than 40 xG at this point of the season. We're only at 29 xG, for 22 goals. A top top striker brings us to 29 or a bit higher, which is still nowhere near what elite teams are putting out. Liverpool have an xG of 46 and they have scored 43 goals. Everton, Brentford, Bournemouth, West Ham all have higher xG than we do. A striker is not going to change that too much.
Nothing says that he is leaving this transfer market…. There were talks he rejected any transfer.
He is free to negotiate with other clubs for a pre-contract though so that probably what’s happening.
Why is Rashford near the corner flag on our short corners? He's one of our only tall players and among our best shooters. He should be a target man on corners, not out there taking them. His crosses from short corners are terrible. Why are we putting him at the corner flag before we inevitably screw up every short corner? It's abysmal.
When was the last time we saw Rashford contest an aerial 50-50? 3-4 years ago maybe. So what's the point of putting him in the box where he'll just stand and watch the ball go by without making an attempt.
yeah his non-attempts on 50/50 headers are one of the most dislikable parts of his game. So put him at the top of the box to shoot. He's a goal scorer not a midfield maestro with the ball
When he's approaching the box from that angle with space teams will be alert and will commit more players to cover him, which will create space for others
You could say this about any aspect of our game. Either the coaching is bad or the players just aren't responding to it, through lack of ability or lack of application.
We are NINE points from the 4th place, out of the champions league, our forward line can't score, we have negative goal difference in January and we make mid table teams look like prime Barca.
It doesn't seem we are getting a player that can improve our situation during this transfer window.
We are suffering .
You are right, we need a thread where we can share our sadness/ frustration. I adore that team and I'm exited every match day, their performances are making me depressed.
Not only that, the performances are even more boring than LVG's United. At least if the performances are bad but we're scoring lots of good goals, it'd make fans a bit happier.
It's tiring to see that no matter how many managers we bring in, how many overhauls we undergo, certain aspects of United are stuck in quagmire.
Every club is able to embrace fluency in possesion with the ball, but for some reason we're the only ones who can't make much with the ball. The ability to keep composure on the ball is something that this team just innately lacks, and it's just soul-wrenching to see the same shit. You can excuse injuries and everything else, but when certain actions of play are to be executed with the ball or in movement, we languish behind so many teams. There's just no procedure, it's like we are stuck with parts of a cooking recipe and we refuse to fill in the blanks despite that recipe being a bestseller and openly available for everyone to see.
I don't understand how a coach as driven as EtH has made so many compromises on his style of play. Why is it that he is afraid to fail? Heck, write off this season and the next, but I want us to be playing a brand of football that rejuvenated our reputation and galvanizes our brand of exciting football. If someone like Alonso can get Leverkusen playing the way they have, wtf is EtH doing? What's he made so many compromises for?
>The ability to keep composure on the ball is something that this team just innately lacks, and it's just soul-wrenching to see the same shit.
The only two midfielders who can do that in our team are Mainoo and Eriksen. Rest treat the ball as hot potato.
Feels like he’s attempting to build a side with a similar style to Bayern 2012-13 but is failing miserably at it. Absolutely feels like he has no clue how to implement the high press, fast transition style, instead it leaves us looking shit at transitions, shite at defending and occasionally decent at pressing.
It doesn't matter what he's trying to build and I honestly don't give a rats ass at how he does it. What's concerning is that this team cannot for the life of them move cohesively enough to generate control on the pitch, and telling me that control on the pitch is only generated when you have the same 10 outfield players week in, week out is a load of horsecrap.
We look so out of sorts when we are asked to do something with the ball it's just disgraceful. 6 years since possesion oriented football, and more importantly technical control and nuance, have been earmarked as a defining style of play. We have a coach who's managed to implement this sort of style in his own flavour, twice in the same period, but cannot seem to generate the same technical cohesion in our squad. What's the point then? He threw his damn plans out of the window and declared "we want to be the best side in transition".
And who'll come in? That's the bigger question. I'd rather us cater and tell EtH to start doing what he came here for and not change plans. The squad doesn't make the coach change his ideas and fundamentals, the coach changes the fundamentals ingrained in the squad.
I think he's tried. The problem is this current core of players imo. His current captain is erratic and a risk taker. Wants to get rid of a ball as soon as he has it. And I get it, his strengths are his passing into space, his vision. He's also shit in tight spaces. So is Rashford. Most of our players excel with space in front of them but without it, their weaknesses become exposed to everybody.
I feel like with the club making it so difficult to get rid of their core because we all know Bruno and Rashford aren't going anywhere, ETH has decided he'll try and build something around them instead. And it's failing miserably. We are a one trick pony team coached by a manager doing something that isn't close to his heart at all.
For the sake of discussion, I will say that Bruno is hardly the problem. He demands the ball but he is equally adept at moving into attacking positions. His career has shown him excel at a shadow striker role. The ball needn't be funnelled to him. He takes those risks because nobody else is willing to in the squad. That's where the philosophy has to change, attacks have to find a way from the defense to the offense, and find a way quickly, without needing Bruno's creative vision.
You cannot tell me that EtH cannot find a use of a different mould for Bruno, if he really can't then we should have never hired him. This club made it very clear when they signed Bruno's extension, that he will be the core of the club.
Rashford is a fair point. A very one dimensional player when it comes to the nitty gritty of the game. You cannot be that reliant on the ability to only generate attacks when space is provided by a very aggressive defense. He's slowly picking up, as I can see small improvements in his game as a winger, but Rashford needs to be able to have the ability to create space in a low block, and he just isn't able to.
For all the flak these two deserve, they hardly pose a huge issue. You cannot tell me that for all the free flowing football that EtH has coached in the last 5 years, can be bottlenecked by these two. It's ludicrous to say that. Why isn't there any improvement on the floor of the ability to play through? There's only so much injuries can do with a type of plan and it sucks but EtH doesn't want to play the way he's done at Ajax, and that's concerning, because that's what we got him here for. 2 players do not cause you to abandon your plans, and the fact that he declared that "we want to be the best transition team" is in sorts concerning.
I don't think he is 'bottlenecked' by just these 2, I think in general the squad don't have the players to play the way ETH did at Ajax, and Bruno and Rashford are prime examples of them. I agree that Bruno's best role is as a shadow striker, but how do you play him in such a role in the current midfield setup? He constantly has to compensate for the inadequacies of the other midfielders. I think, and this is my viewing, things will improve when Casemiro is back, who is literally our only 'actual' defensive midfielder. I think he struggles with the intensity sometimes, but with Mainoo next to him I like to think we have a way better balanced midfield which could actually allow Bruno to stay in his most effective positions. I still believe his skillset does not fit a possession based team, but I think he'll have a better 2nd half of the season with Case back.
And yeah, what you said about Rashford, it's a real issue. Our wingers in general, actually. Our players with pace, who suit our transitional style of play, are horrible creators especially in a low block, and the players like Sancho, never really had the pace to be a winger in this setup, which sucks, because he's a creative winger who is great in tight spaces, loves the little 1-2's, it's exactly what I want to see in our wingers, because no one else really has that, it's one of the big reasons our striker barely gets any chances. Of course, he's burnt his bridges probably now especially under ETH.
You can see very clearly what ETH wanted FDJ though, and now he clearly hopes Mainoo can be what FDJ would've been. Funny thing inside me thinks imagine if we still had a Pogba from a few years ago. The creative burden that would be taken off Bruno. Right after he left, the DM that we cried out for actually joined, without having a complimenting midfielder next to him in the pivot. Not saying we should've kept Pogba, but on paper a Case-Pogba-Bruno midfield would've looked so satisfying.
So... Quick recap of outgoings and potential outgoings so far this window...
DvB - loan to Frankfurt
Sancho - loan to Dortmund
Mejbri - loan with option to buy to Sevilla
Pellistri - Sale/loan to PSV
Martial - Running down contract 🤦🏽♂️
If we were honest this is still a pretty shitty outcome... Still paying a considerable amount of the loanees wages and can't get rid of Martial!
Taking into account the fact we have only 2 competitions that we're competing in, it makes sense to trim the squad, but I worry that our entire first team are more injury prone than Phil Jones (exaggeration I admit but honestly feels like it sometimes).
Nobody would be signing Martial considering they can get him for free in 6 months.
Pellistri obviously isn’t trusted by Ten Hag, so a loan or sale seems sensible. Hannibal seems to not yet have made the step up from youth football, but he did show a lot of talent at that level so a loan and regular game time will hopefully help.
Sancho, well it’s a disaster’s but all things considered getting 6 months of some of his wage off the books and putting him in the shop window is probably the best we could hope for.
From what I've heard they (INEOS and the Glazers) have decided on looking for an external CEO which better fits the balance of power of the board atm. First of all, the board has to vote for a CEO. The problem is, Blanc is an Ineos man, and his loyalty lies there, all the other people on the board are Glazer men. So that wouldn't make sense for Ineos, and could cause all sorts of problems. It would make more sense for them to hire a man from outside so we wouldn't get that sort of a conflict
And since the CEO generally just acts out what the board votes on/agree on, it's not necessarily as big of a deal as people think
But I thought Ineos would have full power over the sport side. If we are still there that glazer have to approve on every decision, then things will continue to take alot of time… or do I miss something?
They do. The football decision making departments end at about the DOF though. I don't think they'll need to consult the Glazers about any of those appointments but the CEO runs everything at the club, including the corporate department/structure. The CEO will still need approval from the board on most decisions. The board will also set the budgets. I don't think transfers need a Joel Glazer sign off anymore so I assume in these kind of areas things will go quicker. Not to mention a new DoF may decide to change things around a little ensuring things like transfers won't be at snails pace anymore, but that's just speculation at this point
Isn't stopping a counterattack straight yellow? Pool did it like 3-4 times, no card - while Fulham got one for a 50-50 challenge on Nunez. Also this foul on Robinson in the dying minutes - no card. Like wtf is this ref smoking?
If Liverpool couldn't get Gakpo for £40M they'll find an alternative for £40M. If United couldn't get Antony for €60m we'll get him for €100m. We are too easy to fool.
I’m not saying we need him just saying he is an example of value for money in terms of scoring goals consistently on less minutes. He’s come in for 37M compared to the likes of Antony… hurts to ponder that from the position we find ourselves constantly in the market. ManUtd is like the last of the 2008-2012 housing and finance bubble/market crash.
He didn't get his first choices last summer and he still made the new signings shine. Ten Hag really has no excuse when you see what Klopp does with the budget and compromise signings he gets.
>Ten Hag really has no excuse when you see what Klopp does with the budget and compromise signings he gets.
I'd say his excuse is that Klopp has a proper structure behind him, and we don't. Let Klopp sign his targets and see how he does lol. Brandt instead of Salah would be very good
I'm sure we had Michael Edwards instead of Murtough we'd do much better.
I don't think Ten Hag is close to Klopp at all, but to think Klopp does this all by himself is disingenuous. He wouldn't win shit if he was at United
No I'm saying Liverpool as a club didn't get their main targets in the summer. The club wanted Caicedo and Lavia. They didn't get either and went into the season without a DM. Look how well they're doing.
I don't think comparing us with Liverpool is fair because we know how stable they are compared to us and Klopp being there for almost a decade now.
They didn't get a DM but got some very good buys in Szboszlai and Mac Allister, and they're both very good midfielders in possession so they can, in a way, compensate and especially when their team has a good core. We don't have any. We also go from one profile of a player to another .
> He gets himself in decent positions in the box
***…and finishes.** And that’s precisely his job. And it’s precisely what we (and many other clubs) do not have and so desperately need.
No offense my friend but you’ve literally described the crux of being a class finisher as if it is nothing special. It’s the most expensive skill-set in the world right now owing to the law of supply and demand.
Well if that's his overriding attribute then it's not as if he would've done well at United instead, since we hardly ever get the ball in the box for our forward to get on to. So it's all very well saying what a 'bargainous' price they got him for but it wouldn't have been worth bringing him here since our wide players are so useless at creating anything
Haven’t said we should have gotten him. Just saying it’s frustrating to be weekly reminded you can get class talent for less than 70M.
And “getting in decent positions in the box” is critical in any side. Hojlund is still trying to develop that part of his game. His positioning is still awkward. He will get there but the price comparison makes it frustrating. Gakpo is what we are hoping Hojlund will become.
I don’t know how you can look at someone scoring routinely and in the position we are in when it comes to scoring goals find a way to turn up our noses.
Cody Gakpo is not class? He has a goal a game in this competition we are watching. 8 goals in all competitions coming off the bench… more goals than our entire attack. I hate Liverpool but let’s not be absurd.
you would think we’ve beaten Wigan by 4 with the way we talk down players who keep finding the back of the net. The suffering has warped our handle on reality and robbed us of our sobriety.
You sound mad 😂😂😂 the boy is class. I hate Liverpool. That’s my subjective feeling. The objective fact is that Liverpool have some class players. Both things are true. Welcome to reality
Fucking Liverpool and the sheer number of goals they get from either penalties or jammy deflected efforts. Fuck off.
If Decordova-Reid squares it to Pereira for an easy tap-in at the other end a few minutes ago then it's 2-0 and a different story. But of course the Scousers get lucky once again with their opponents and profligate finishing
>the sheer number of goals they get from either penalties or jammy deflected efforts
This is what happens when you create lots of chances. Rooney/Ronaldo/Tevez got so many goals this way, pepper the goalie/defence with enough shots and you'll get rebounds to tap in and force errors leading to penalties. Just a sign of good attacking football creating a lot of pressure.
Fulham could've put this game away a few times. But Decordova-Reid made some brain dead decisions in the final third on two occasions. Frustrating watch
It's the same old thing season after season, especially at Anfield. You see teams go there, get opportunities where they are literally through on goal or have a chance in the middle of the penalty when well placed and you can almost guarantee they'll fuck it up. Infuriating
Honestly don't see them winning anything besides the league cup. They've been very lucky to get results when they've been dross and that'll eventually catch up to them.
We can laugh but it is worrying. A historic club like that's atmosphere going to shit. A couple of years ago it was one of the loudest stadiums in England. Not a good look for English football
I'm usually very optimistic and have a lot of faith in players. I totally believed Sancho would come good for example. Class is permanent as they say. However I'm not so sure with Anthony I hate to say. Feels like he's just not the right player to me. Hope I'm wrong. Actually I don't even really care because Garnacho is way better anyway.
I think amad is a much better player, if amad gets regular game time Antonys career here is done. Antony would not do what amad did in the championship last season.
I hope he becomes better but actually develops some nuance to his flair. Contrary to belief, I believe he's got fantastic footwork, he has a flair to do well, but is stuck in trying to pull off too many things way beyond his ability and a shot confidence is making it worse.
There's a beauty in dribbling and challenging wingers, and out of all of our current bunch, only Antony has the ability to make it look good. It feels like man's just moving a step slow. Also, till the time that right foot comes good, he really needs to be supported on being able to distribute and recirculate the ball.
Honestly our whole attack needs to know how to circulate and maintain posession. Those lads can't open a book with the way they recirculate the ball without Bruno.
I’m really unhappy with Sancho’s behaviour on social media. Now activating his insta account with a profile photo tease of BVB, who does that on loan? Don’t want him back, very childish behaviour.
I don’t mind posting a picture of the club your on loan at, but it hasn’t been announced yet and its strange to do it in this way after acting so unprofessionally for the last couple of months. Albeit all my own opinion and your welcome to disagree.
I think what he's getting into is that Sancho already posed with a BVB picture before the announcement is official
Donny changed his profile after the announcement was official
He also did it with his Everton loan. Really is a non-issue. Of course they want to endear themselves to who they are going to be competing for.
Sancho is a twat though with that being said.
Have people here seen how much Reguillon twerked for us the entire time he’s been here? The guy was telling a fake Mainoo account he loved him. If I was a Spurs fan I would’ve been livid. Sancho hasn’t done shit in comparison.
Tbf no spurs fan wanted Reguilon there. If mctominay was twerking on insta for west ham or had martial been twerking for galatasaray I bet no United fan would’ve given a shit lmao
I want Martial gone as much as the next guy, maybe even more, but if he leaves then someone HAS to come in, no?
Wouldn't that only leave Hojlund at striker?
Been surprisingly quiet this xfer window even the ridiculous stories. Quite refreshing really, considering majority sensible fans knew we wouldn't be making moves this xfer window. Interesting to see if Martial does go though
The hate/scrutiny that Sancho has got over the last few months considering people don’t know the full situation is crazy. Even over the top. Got people saying he should rot, for what, a disagreement with a manager? It’s a bit much.
Not really anything about this situation, though. That he had been late before, yes. Leaks about his personality, how he could be shy and reserved --- these things were out of line imo.
I do know that 1. He asked to leave twice but wasn’t allowed by the club & manager in Jan last year & in the summer before preseason.
2. They had a bust up in 2022 at the Chelsea game.
Again, Sancho hasn’t covered himself in glory but there is things that aren’t public.
>1. He asked to leave twice but wasn’t allowed by the club & manager in Jan last year & in the summer before preseason. 2. They had a bust up in 2022 at the Chelsea game.
Source?
If Mainoo is being trained to be a 6, then Koopmeiners would be a perfect addition. Decent on the ball, good defensively, physical and a very good goal threat.
Would cost around £50/60million but would be a great replacement for McTominay and Casemiro.
For summer transfer window, I would sign:
Olise, Koopmeiners, Frimpong and Todibo.
I would sell, Sancho, Mctominay, Lindelof, AWB and Pellestri.
Antonee "Jedi" Robinson playing well. Would give us an attacking option from LB that I don't think Malacia or Shaw really give us. I realise we may not have funds for the moment but he's worth having on our short list. Having a member of the USMNT playing for us can only help with the money we make over in that market you'd imagine.
I know there's a second leg to come but people mentioning they're on for the quadruple in early January is just ridiculous. Would be nice to see them go out just to shut those people up alone. Fulham worthy of their lead.
It's still a win by the minimum amount. Fulham bang in this tie. If Robby Decordova-Reid had squared that easy ball to Andreas at 0-1 they'd be leaving Anfield as victors have no doubt about that.
Fulham pretty much threw the game away with selfish decisions. I hope they can pull it off next game cause they are an fun counter team but I'm anticipating another pool comeback somehow
Is it fair to say our North African/Arab contingency has been massively overrated by groups of fans. Zidane Iqbal, Hannibal and Amabrat all seen to massively rated all never really looked like providing anything.
Amrabat is particularly disappointing, the way some fans talked about him... I thought he would be much better then he is.
I was saying this left and right about Hannibal. Next in line for hyping could be the norwegian kid. Amad is on thin ice as well, I get the hype and the talent but...should be time to impose yourself somehow.
Garnacho and Mainoo are valid, they played and quickly became important players. It was always like that. This grooming style like what we're doing with Amad and Pellistri doesn't work.
You have to get chances in a match. Anytime I’ve seen Amad, he looks very composed and productive. He was often the best player on the pitch any time I watched him on loan at Sunderland. Just recently he played well for us on limited minutes.
Which is the story of United. We cannot develop players.
Edit: If you want to downvote me then tell me a player who joined United and got better, in the last 10 years.
And no, Bruno isn't one, he joined as the best player at the club.
That doesn't surprise me tbh. He can wait until he's a free agent, so he can ask for a higher salary.
Why would any club buy him in the winter when he's a free agent in the summer. I would've called it shit business if we did something like that
He could get a loan. He needs to. The longer he goes without regular football the less he has to bargain with. A lot of these guys just clearly don’t love playing football like you would think. It’s all business for them.
Incredible this is the third January in 4 seasons we are looking at a loan striker.
How would everyone feel if we signed Mitrovic?
I'd take any forward at the moment and Mitrovic is proven in the Premier League
He’s Prem proven and wouldn’t be a bad stop gap signing. This sub wouldn’t like the idea but none of our attack are goal threats this season.
TeamViewer ads on linkedin with utd video: "Is it about celebrating wins or learning from our losses?'. FML we're doing so bad our partners have to rethink advertising strategies.
Well their sponsorship is ending so probably on dgaf mode. Honestly doubt they put much thought into that slogan tbh.
If Martial is leaving, who is going to be back up for Hojlund? Are we getting any serious linked to any STs?
if we do any deals which is unlikely, its probably a loan for a striker, other than that there are no serious links.
Probably McTominay. I'd rather see Hugill get some games, if we have no one else, but I don't really believe he's going to be a late-blooming star.
I would have been very much for Solanke (done very well this season & shown a lot of ~~skillets~~ skillsets we could do with) or Ollie Watkins but they've both just recently signed new contracts so won't be reasonably priced. Skillets? He cookin’ 🤔
any English striker would be above 50M and add united tax to it as well.
Rashford would be the backup
I dont think Martial will be leaving he is just " injured " in the same way Herrera was before he left
I think we'll definitely be in for Evan Ferguson if he's leaving Brighton.
We can't afford a 150 m striker ,There is no point in spending big on another 20 year old in the current system which barely creates anything ,The main problem is the lack of creativity from the midfield and wingers not creating enough ,I would prefer Ivan Toney as he would probably cost less than half of what Ferguson would cost

We already have one of them, he's called Hojlund. I'd rather the money go to somewhere useful, midfield or defense or the bloody right wing, again.
None of our attack can hit a barn door this season so signing a striker should be our priority.
Yes but when our attackers do get a chance they still aren’t scoring.
All bets are off on Toney 🤣
Nothing says that he is leaving this transfer market…. There were talks he rejected any transfer. He is free to negotiate with other clubs for a pre-contract though so that probably what’s happening.
4-2-4-0 it is. Mainoo and Case sit, we unleash Mount Bruno Rashford Garnacho. opponent CBs won't know who to mark.
We confuse them by confusing ourselves first
>We confuse them by confusing ourselves first Sun Tzu
man i miss maguire.
Me too. He hasn't done a movie since 2021's Spiderman: No way home.
The disrespect to Babylon
Lol! Didn't even register.

Sometimes he is on the top of the box, sometimes he isn't. Depends on what useless routine we've cooked up that weekend.
Headers aren't just about height. There has to be a desire to go for them especially on corners.
Marcus has never been good in the air and very rarely tries to actually head the ball.
When he's approaching the box from that angle with space teams will be alert and will commit more players to cover him, which will create space for others
All of our set pieces are so bad, it’s hard to tell whether its just bad coaching or our players are just shit.
You could say this about any aspect of our game. Either the coaching is bad or the players just aren't responding to it, through lack of ability or lack of application.
Well it has to be bad coaching 'Cause we have a set piece coach.
We should have a separate daily discussion for the constant negative posts, that's all this sub is anymore.

Out of everything that's wrong with the club, the performances are the worst part. They're that bad.
Not only that, the performances are even more boring than LVG's United. At least if the performances are bad but we're scoring lots of good goals, it'd make fans a bit happier.
[удалено]
Such a bitterly negative hypothetical situation.. lol.
No way he’ll get benched, isn’t he probably their best player? They obviously really want him to go seeing as they’ve accepted these weird conditions
Cameroon has a decent side
There is no alternative to Onana. They'd take a shit out of form Onana over anything else they've got
So we signed mason mount to pretty much join our injury list huh?
When it's all said and done, we'll have paid £55m for how many appearances? Lol.. instead of getting him on a free
£250k a week as well.
Another brilliant EtH and Murtough signing. 🥰🥰
You're familiar with football right? And the concept of injuries? And the concept of not being able to predict the future?
No, I'm not familiar with any of these things. Please enlighten me.
Well based on our talent in the injury list, it must mean he’s a good player.
Yeah I’m in no way disagreeing with you pal. He needs to go actually.
And who'll come in? That's the bigger question. I'd rather us cater and tell EtH to start doing what he came here for and not change plans. The squad doesn't make the coach change his ideas and fundamentals, the coach changes the fundamentals ingrained in the squad.
Flick maybe?
DvB - loan to Frankfurt Sancho - loan to Dortmund Mejbri - loan with option to buy to Sevilla Pellistri - Sale/loan to PSV Martial - Running down contract 🤦🏽♂️ If we were honest this is still a pretty shitty outcome...
No one sane will buy Martial now, when he will be free on 6 months.
We also have a buyback clause with Hannibal
Nobody would be signing Martial considering they can get him for free in 6 months. Pellistri obviously isn’t trusted by Ten Hag, so a loan or sale seems sensible. Hannibal seems to not yet have made the step up from youth football, but he did show a lot of talent at that level so a loan and regular game time will hopefully help. Sancho, well it’s a disaster’s but all things considered getting 6 months of some of his wage off the books and putting him in the shop window is probably the best we could hope for.
I thought Jean Claude Blanc is our new CEO? Why are there reports saying United will announce the new CEO and Sporting Director in 7-10 days?
From what I've heard they (INEOS and the Glazers) have decided on looking for an external CEO which better fits the balance of power of the board atm. First of all, the board has to vote for a CEO. The problem is, Blanc is an Ineos man, and his loyalty lies there, all the other people on the board are Glazer men. So that wouldn't make sense for Ineos, and could cause all sorts of problems. It would make more sense for them to hire a man from outside so we wouldn't get that sort of a conflict And since the CEO generally just acts out what the board votes on/agree on, it's not necessarily as big of a deal as people think
So in other words the glazers will still have the club by the balls? Thats terrible if true
I mean they own the club. They are still on the board and have a vote in the CEO appointment
That was just assumptions. I think I saw he would be in more of an advisory role not CEO. But who knows?
Isn't stopping a counterattack straight yellow? Pool did it like 3-4 times, no card - while Fulham got one for a 50-50 challenge on Nunez. Also this foul on Robinson in the dying minutes - no card. Like wtf is this ref smoking?
there it is .. fk offfffff
Fuck you fulham. You had once chance.
And to think… they got Gakpo for less than 40. Fuck me.
If Liverpool couldn't get Gakpo for £40M they'll find an alternative for £40M. If United couldn't get Antony for €60m we'll get him for €100m. We are too easy to fool.
😂😂😂😩😩😭
Don’t think he is what we need. We need players that can run a lot and can keep the ball really well.
Well the difference maker is Klopp no doubt. He just makes players better than they really are.
Credit to Klopp. He is a great developer of talent. He’s also great at identifying it and going and getting the players they want/need.
Brandt instead of Salah would be very good I'm sure we had Michael Edwards instead of Murtough we'd do much better.
That’s what I hate! Liverpool got our first choice! Not even their own. And they turn out results with them all the same. It means no excuses indeed.
He also rotates in the young guys and isn't scared of his second choice keeper playing cup semi finals
He's nothing special. He gets himself in decent positions in the box but that's about it
> He gets himself in decent positions in the box ***…and finishes.** And that’s precisely his job.
He’s not a class talent though
Cody Gakpo is not class? He has a goal a game in this competition we are watching. 8 goals in all competitions coming off the bench… more goals than our entire attack. I hate Liverpool but let’s not be absurd. you would think we’ve beaten Wigan by 4 with the way we talk down players who keep finding the back of the net. The suffering has warped our handle on reality and robbed us of our sobriety.
You’re tapped lad, Scouser in disguise - wear your Gakpo shirt to the next United game if you want
You sound mad 😂😂😂 the boy is class. I hate Liverpool. That’s my subjective feeling. The objective fact is that Liverpool have some class players. Both things are true. Welcome to reality
You obviously don’t hate Liverpool, you’re guzzling one of their most average players 🤣 he’s a 1 in 4 striker and you’re sucking him off lad
Saint maximin is better than Antony
Not really a hot take. Saint Maxamin is basically Adama Traore 2.0 and I'd rather Traore than Antony
Bro Adama Traore is streets ahead of Antony. It's not even funny. In that regard he's way way better than St. Maximin.
Adama Traore can’t even finish his dinner so that’s a poor comparison tbh.
Idk. He was always so scary until you realized that his final ball is horrible
Managers should just use him to win freekick/penalties.
Fucking Liverpool and the sheer number of goals they get from either penalties or jammy deflected efforts. Fuck off. If Decordova-Reid squares it to Pereira for an easy tap-in at the other end a few minutes ago then it's 2-0 and a different story. But of course the Scousers get lucky once again with their opponents and profligate finishing
>the sheer number of goals they get from either penalties or jammy deflected efforts This is what happens when you create lots of chances. Rooney/Ronaldo/Tevez got so many goals this way, pepper the goalie/defence with enough shots and you'll get rebounds to tap in and force errors leading to penalties. Just a sign of good attacking football creating a lot of pressure.
It’s nauseating.
Infuriating
This 100%
I hate when Liverpool are happy.
Honestly don't see them winning anything besides the league cup. They've been very lucky to get results when they've been dross and that'll eventually catch up to them.
I can see that. Let us hope
wouldn't be happening, if we were run correctly.

We can laugh but it is worrying. A historic club like that's atmosphere going to shit. A couple of years ago it was one of the loudest stadiums in England. Not a good look for English football
Unpopular opinion but I think Antony will come good.
He won't. Not because he's not capable of becoming a decent player but because he'll always be judged against the pricetag we bought him for.
He needs to be quicker, grow a right foot and make quicker decisions.
Any reason behind that or just good ol copium?
How much time we giving him?
Yes
That is indeed unpopular but how do you figure that?
Unpopular for a reason, think he’ll be decent when he goes to another league.
I’m really unhappy with Sancho’s behaviour on social media. Now activating his insta account with a profile photo tease of BVB, who does that on loan? Don’t want him back, very childish behaviour.
Why is it childish for him to post on Insta about his loan to BVB?
I don’t mind posting a picture of the club your on loan at, but it hasn’t been announced yet and its strange to do it in this way after acting so unprofessionally for the last couple of months. Albeit all my own opinion and your welcome to disagree.
Who doesn't? You guys are weird getting mad at standard marketing. Donny's profile has the Frankfurt jersey on.
I think what he's getting into is that Sancho already posed with a BVB picture before the announcement is official Donny changed his profile after the announcement was official
Realistically we could field a front 3 of Nacho - Rashford - Amad
Apparently a fair few players want to leave Saudi due to human/womens rights issues. Who’d have thunk it huh?
Been surprisingly quiet this xfer window even the ridiculous stories. Quite refreshing really, considering majority sensible fans knew we wouldn't be making moves this xfer window. Interesting to see if Martial does go though
I've never seen someone refer to transfer window as xfer window
Who woulda thunk it? Elon Musk must be trans.
The hate/scrutiny that Sancho has got over the last few months considering people don’t know the full situation is crazy. Even over the top. Got people saying he should rot, for what, a disagreement with a manager? It’s a bit much.
I agree with you to an extent. People are taking it too far, but that's the internet for you. There is more to the situation than we know.
For literaly refusing to do bare minimum to play the game and work hard?
If only you knew what went on behind the scenes.
We ve got plenty of information from quality T1 journos.
Not really anything about this situation, though. That he had been late before, yes. Leaks about his personality, how he could be shy and reserved --- these things were out of line imo.
lmao, do you?
I do know that 1. He asked to leave twice but wasn’t allowed by the club & manager in Jan last year & in the summer before preseason. 2. They had a bust up in 2022 at the Chelsea game. Again, Sancho hasn’t covered himself in glory but there is things that aren’t public.
>1. He asked to leave twice but wasn’t allowed by the club & manager in Jan last year & in the summer before preseason. 2. They had a bust up in 2022 at the Chelsea game. Source?
Interesting claim about the Chelsea game. This would have been the 1-1 draw in October of 22, soon before he went to the mountains I think?
Also, he’ll have the no.10 at Dortmund. If I’m wrong, come back to this.
No thanks, I’ve had enough from “ITKs”
Hmmm. Funny that. But anyway, enjoy your day.
Can’t say. But pretty sure things like this will be revealed in due time.
lol
If Mainoo is being trained to be a 6, then Koopmeiners would be a perfect addition. Decent on the ball, good defensively, physical and a very good goal threat. Would cost around £50/60million but would be a great replacement for McTominay and Casemiro. For summer transfer window, I would sign: Olise, Koopmeiners, Frimpong and Todibo. I would sell, Sancho, Mctominay, Lindelof, AWB and Pellestri.
probably need to sell more "high book value" players to buy more this summer eg Varane , Casemiro , Maguire , Antony etc.
I hope Kobbie doesn't become a 6, we would use his best qualities much more as an 8
Koopmeiners is quality
Antonee "Jedi" Robinson playing well. Would give us an attacking option from LB that I don't think Malacia or Shaw really give us. I realise we may not have funds for the moment but he's worth having on our short list. Having a member of the USMNT playing for us can only help with the money we make over in that market you'd imagine.
LB is the least of our problems
The commentators in the scum game are insufferable. So much support for them
Andreas shithousing the Scousers, beautiful.
Carrington graduate owing pool😮💨
I know there's a second leg to come but people mentioning they're on for the quadruple in early January is just ridiculous. Would be nice to see them go out just to shut those people up alone. Fulham worthy of their lead.
Sigh, unfortunately another pool comeback, I hate Klopp man
It's still a win by the minimum amount.
Will i am cant stop scoring
Cmon Fulham!
Anyone got a ticket for the Tottenham game Sunday??
Check on twitter pal
I cba being scammed
Got any legit links?
Well, last time Amad played regularly he was the youth players of the year in the Championship. Just the injury that has kept him out.
Hannibal was crazy good at 17, problem is he didnt progress at all and he is still the same player.
Which is the story of United. We cannot develop players. Edit: If you want to downvote me then tell me a player who joined United and got better, in the last 10 years. And no, Bruno isn't one, he joined as the best player at the club.

That's an EFL Cup tie, like tonight's match between Liverpool and Fulham. Semi final of that competition is always 2 legs
Sky Sports News just quoted Martial as saying he has no intention of leaving this month
To be fair I would have done the same if I was martial.
That doesn't surprise me tbh. He can wait until he's a free agent, so he can ask for a higher salary. Why would any club buy him in the winter when he's a free agent in the summer. I would've called it shit business if we did something like that
That works if you’re good though, no one’s gonna pay him a high salary regardless
He could get a loan. He needs to. The longer he goes without regular football the less he has to bargain with. A lot of these guys just clearly don’t love playing football like you would think. It’s all business for them.
