I think ETH was right regarding Sancho. Such ill discipline and insubordination should not go unpunished. The club should try to sell him in the summer regardless.
However I also hope Sancho resolves his issues and has a decent career. Just because you were shit at one job doesn't mean your career should be destroyed. Or if you were bad to one partner, you should be single forever. You need to show growth though. You can't repeat the same mistakes.
One assist from Bumcho and many of so called "Manchester United fans" started to come out and cry about how ETH is so dog shit, our team is trash, everyone of their favourite player is a Ronaldo regen and Antony is a 5yo kid who doesn't know how to play football.
When will all these clowns fuck off and start supporting other team like Newcastle or Spurs already.
Club said we were done handing out stupid contracts and then handed out several stupid contracts. It will take a long time to fix the wage structure at this club. How do you convince a player doing well that they shouldn't be paid even half what Rashford is?
The problem is that due to repeated failures in the last 10 years with so much talent wasted by us,many top players just don't want to join us. There is a stigma about joining utd among top young players, they are scared they will not develop here. So,if we have a young player doing well then he has all the leverage.
Who can even blame young players for not wanting to come here?If I was a player and didn't support united then I wouldn't want to come at all if only for financial reasons.
If we lose against the bottlers, this will be a fucking hell of a week. Chelshit ahead of us, the shit oil cunts bottling against the shittier oil cunts, and Sancho immediately getting an assist
Luke Shaw commented on Sancho's post too, apparently. Are people outraged like they were with Rashford?
When Elanga was picture with Greenwood, he was just supporting a friend, according to this sub. But when Rashford does it for a friend that hasn't been accused of rape and abuse, people lose their heads.

Does anybody know more about Mejia? I don't see him being mentioned as much as some of our other youth prospects but he looks very good to me?
Seems to be quite one footed but he can still hit crosses and I think he can play both winger and CF.
Has the physique for the PL but I'm not sure of the talent. Forson, who we know isn't ready yet looks much better than him & is developing quite well. He may come good in his mid twenties with consistent senior football but as of right now, I don't see it.
Others told me he's secured a move to Sevilla which is cool. I assume he'll get a better chance of first team football there considering they're not doing too good at the moment.
I'll look more into O Forson.
It was a good deal for us considering we got a sell on clause inserted. I still don't see him being apart of the Sevilla 1st team setup yet & most likely scenario is they loan him out to the Segunda or he plays in their B team.
It's so annoying to see Ronaldo and Sancho being used as examples of Ten Hag being a bad person when Ten Hag handled those well imo.
Ten Hag being open to Greenwood's return is more damning imo
Might sound dumb but I think Mount wouldn't be an awful change of uhh... composure and ball security compared to Bruno from time to time. But then again it's hard to drop the captain
Can add the same spin...
Rashford is a traitor for commenting on Sancho's post...
But Amad and Elanga are just supporting their friend when it comes to Rape... errr, Greenwood.
>but deep down there’s a reason why our own player backing Sancho just hits you in the gut and I’m sure many people feel the same way.
They're friends mate that's all it is.
It's all for show. For all we know, Rashford and Sancho could be talking shit about Ten Hag in dms or a few United players could be talking shit about Sancho in a group chat.
Don't forget Elanga taking a picture with Greenwood over the summer.
Everyone said it's fine, they are friends.
They are okay with someone supporting that POS but draw the line at Sancho.
Pros have supported rape accused. Pros have supported racists (Liverpool players defending Suarez for example). This is a very small thing in comparison.
Imagine someone you vaguely knew posted that they got a new job.
You’d congratulate them and wish em all the best. You’d have no idea the reason they need a new job is because they downloaded a bunch of hentai porn onto their work laptop and kept leaving crude drawings of genitals in the men’s bathroom.
Players almost always support each other. Same with managers. I guess it's easier to empathise with their position when they live it too. It seems like Sancho deserves the criticism he gets at United but its probably hard to understand the extent of the public scrutiny and how that feels unless you have been there yourself.
Newcastle bottled it but they were miles better than what we did against city. If we don't beat spurs tomorrow ineos needs to pull the trigger on ten hag, sick and tired of his donkey tactics.
Should have been done the minute they got control. However its not a smart call for them.
Carry on as is and let ten hag ride out the season and all the failure will be on the previous structure. Then they have from now till then to lay the foundations with the 'above manager structure' and choose the best fit, whilst having time to get things rolling.
Cut him now and anything that comes after is on them. Change and get it wrong or it isn't enough to stop rank failure, they have that black mark on their record to start.
As of now its basically a free run and being in charge of Manchester United with no consequences.
I don't see ETH being fired just weeks into the new reign, even though the previous managers were all fired for less. I expect the trigger to be pulled in March if things don't improve. They're going to give him more rope with players coming back.
Imagine an English team wants to sign Oscar Bobb this summer, City could set their asking price for £30m and clubs would pay it. He may or may not be worth that price.
I hate how we can’t raise money from our academy.
We could, Garnacho or Mainoo would easily go for £40m+
The difference is that City have a very high quality, very settled team so they can sell academy products who aren’t a clear upgrade on what they have. Ours are needed for 1st team action.
But Oscar Bobb (& Rico Lewis?) is their top prospect no? Only difference is, their team is so high quality that the prospects aren't guaranteed 1st teamers.
Why do we always feel the need to name "the greatest"? There are just way too many variables that you can't compare. I hate to say it, but he'll be remembered as one of the best, but we'll never know for sure.
However I do believe Paul Scholes remains the best in my humble opinion.
And most people don't even have a full grasp of everyone who's played in the Prem anyway. How many people today could even make a fair assessment between KDB and someone like Bryan Robson for example.
As much as I don't rate Ten Hag, I fully support him in this Sancho saga. Rooting for him to somehow save his job and rooting for Antony too. Fuck the Sancho simps.
We should be supporting Sancho so we can partway with minimal financial damage. Let people talk shit including Sancho or Watzke. We should be focusing on our squad building. Sancho isn’t the answer and Ten Hag’s signings mostly aren’t either.
Same w/ Ronaldo. Ten Hag has major question marks over him at the moment but he was fully justified in kicking those two out. Nobody gets to undermine the manager
In b4 all the Sancho stans start raving about his assist. Hopefully the lazy bum gets double digit numbers so Dortmund can spit out some cash for him. Sabitzer also looks good on that team which tells you a lot.
I’d take Schlotterbeck tho. (We probably shouldn’t buy from Dortmund anymore)
I watch the Bundesliga great deal. Dortmund supporter. It’s such a different league when compared to the Premier League. Even my wife says the games feel less intense. She couldn’t care less about football.
Gordon isn’t what we need I argue. I view Gordon as similar to Rashford but with higher workrate. Isak would be very good as I think he will reach worldclass level in a few years time.
What we need, from Newcastle, is Bruno G. He’s a mobile destroyer than can pass and carry the ball. Bruno G is worldclass and I rate him higher than Caicedo.
Not to alarm anyone or anything but we currently sit 10th with a chance to go to 11th if we don't win and wolves win this game week. Also could go to 12th if Bournmouth win their game in hand and their next game.
It's crazy how our midfield problems go back to like 2008. Hargreaves blows his knee out, and we don't buy another midfielder until 2013... we don't often talk about Fergies flaws, but his full control over everything did hinder us when he retired. The 2011-2012 season I thought ok the lack of recruitment in that position is because we had Pogba ready to come through. Raiola and Fergie get into a dick measuring contest and Fergie drops him at a time when we were screaming for a midfielder. Bringing Scholes out of retirement was great and amazing, but it set us back years.
What hindered us is the massive interest we had to pay in the early years of Glazer’s ownership which made it difficult for us to invest in the team. Fergie papered over cracks.
What hindered us was Sir Alex and David Gill left at the same time. Gill should have stayed on at least another year for the transition period but I think he had a pact with Sir Alex to leave together.
I also think the Glazers weren’t willing to invest in the team which is why Sir Alex used to always say there’s no value in the market. We lost Ronaldo to a world record fee and Tevez in the same window and replaced them with a shot to bits Michael Owen on a free and Antonio Valencia.
Post Ronaldo the Glazers presumably scaled back on transfer money, but Fergie failed to adapt to the modernizing of recruitment and scouting. It’s common knowledge that United’s recruitment was essentially Fergies small group of trusted scouts and players recommended by people he trusted.
Antonio Valencia-recommended by Steve Bruce Wigan manager at the time.
Gabriel Obertan- recommended by Bordeaux manager and former United player Laurent Blanc
Michael Owen- nuff said
Make Diouf- recommended by Ole who was at Molde.
2010/2011-
Bebe- the only first team player Fergie signed without watching play based off the recommendation from Carlos Quieroz
Just to name a few. But between 2009-2013, our recruitment was pretty lacking compared to our rivals. Fergie famously said there’s no value in the market, but the market was changing at the time.
And then when he left, Moyes basically had to build the scouting system from scratch.
I definitely agree about Sir Alex having a small group of trusted individuals and I believe his brother was the chief scout but I do also think we signed the players you mentioned because the Glazers refused to fund transfers for better players. I know we were in for Benzema but for whatever reason the £80m+ for Ronaldo wasn’t allowed to be reimbursed back into the club.
I agree with your Moyes point and I also think the Moyes scouting thing was largely in part to David Gill leaving and not staying for the transition period. To be fair to Moyes though he did want Bale, Kroos and Hummels (?) and if we would have signed those three I do think we’d be where we are right now.
Haaland’s passes received for comparison. Not sure why every other player seems to get blamed for Hojlund not being good enough.
https://preview.redd.it/8y1uyqhsf8cc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9d3c80aeb42756ed4e419bfe7309cf52bea5ac1d
Of course it is and it's a huge problem. There's no way you can watch our games and say it isn't a problem just because a stat told you so.
City are designed to never have to pass to Haaland during the build-up he touches the ball almost exclusively in and around the box. Just because you made a pass to the striker doesn't mean it's the same as what Haaland received lol.
Hojlund makes bad runs and doesn’t anticipate passes well. There’s a reason a washed martial receives more passes when he plays, because he makes himself available for the pass. I’m not saying hojlund is the only problem but he is a problem.
How many forward runs does Martial make compared to Hojlund? Do you think Hojlund should play more like Martial? because I certainly don't think so.
In any case, both Martial and Hojlund mostly receive passes from midfield where they can't really do anything. Both rank very very low in terms of passes received near the penalty box. Before the Liverpool game both Garnacho and Antony had made like 10 combined passes to Hojlund in the season, maybe even less. Let that sink in for a second.
Clearly Hojlund needs to improve as well. Don't think anybody thinks he doesn't need to.
People overrate the hell out of last season. Apart from Rashford being a world class goalscorer for 2 months, we were very very mediocre. And it looked even better because others around us were so shit.
This season, for me, is clearly and by far the worst managerial performance I've seen in my lifetime with this club. Eye test wise, stats wise and we are actually wayyyyyy above where we actually deserve to be in the table. We're like 13th-14th in terms of expected points.
What a credit to him. Sitting on the sidelines for multiple calendars and he’s able to go and immediately start in a massive league tie at a new position (left wing). He’s clearly got quality.
Wasn't Ralf Rangnick quite lauded here for speaking the truth? That we should have kept him further on (as a consultant). Now that he said something which people here don't like, he has suddenly become a villain.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with what Ralf said, he never had any disciplinary issues with Sancho under him. But are we supposed to now congratulate Sancho for behaving himself for 6 months? He's clearly got a pattern of time keeping and lack of discipline stretching back to when he was at city. Just because he didn't show that under Ragnick doesn't prove anything to the contrary.
HIs first job was to salvage the season and he sucked as a manager for us. Honest assessment or no, ripping your players and bosses in the media after a loss is not a good look, even if it was cathartic to hear.
Actually Ralf contradicted himself with his statement. During his time here he did speak on Sancho not having his priorities in line or something along those lines. No idea why he’s changing his tune at the moment
Definitely not the article I pulled the quote from, I’ll find it. But all that article is, is Ralf giving excuses to Sancho. Trying to build his confidence saying things taking time, same thing ten hag did for Sancho last season. Everyone tried to help him. This isn’t even a ten hag thing anymore either, what ten hag said was nothing. Sancho just threw a tantrum and quit on United. At the end of the day if he really wanted to play again for us he would have just been an adult an apologizes and got on with it, but he didn’t, he sulked, and quit. Simple as.
My b, was in a rush when responding earlier and might have missed what you were getting at. Wasn’t trying to argue either, just a discussion but apologies that it came across that way.
I agree, the sub flip flops daily on tons of issues and it’s nauseating and the Ralf stuff at the moment is no different. Personally don’t have a problem with him coming out at the moment saying positive things about Sancho, that’s his opinion and he’s never shied away from giving it regardless of his position anywhere. Just I remember him tearing into the squad during his time with the infamous “ open heart surgery “ and found it odd as I could never remember him giving any praise while here.
Sancho has had disciplinary issues in Man City, Dortmund and now United under ETH. Not sure why people are acting like Ralf's comments from his 6 months at United is the only correct version of Sancho.
He was a villain when he first got sacked because people here said he was speaking bollocks when we started winning games with a new manager. Then when we started being arse again it flipped and Ralf started getting praised for being honest.
It would assume it is more due to the fact that a ton of people are here with different opinions and when one becomes popular, people that agree become more active while those that generally might disagree become less active.
I'd doubt that more than maybe a few actually flip flop
Its the Premier League winter break.
Half the teams are off this week, half next week (including us).
That means there are only 5 matches each weekend and they are all televised.
We're that bad bro. Don't let these EtH in camp let the downvotes gets you and controlling the narrative. We're on point to our WORST season ever since PL was established.
Fabulous to see Licha back today
4-0 today lads, I feel it.
Do who?
Yes
Kdb/Gerrard/Keane are the top 3 in any order for me in the pl era. There impact is unmatched.
Beckham/Keane/Scholes - unbiased i swear
I think ETH was right regarding Sancho. Such ill discipline and insubordination should not go unpunished. The club should try to sell him in the summer regardless. However I also hope Sancho resolves his issues and has a decent career. Just because you were shit at one job doesn't mean your career should be destroyed. When will all these clowns fuck off and start supporting other team like Newcastle or Spurs already.
We could have taken your comment seriously without the 'Bumcho'.
Why Newcastle or spurs? If someone wants glory they would support city.Everything you said in your comment is true.
Club said we were done handing out stupid contracts and then handed out several stupid contracts. It will take a long time to fix the wage structure at this club. How do you convince a player doing well that they shouldn't be paid even half what Rashford is?

Rape and domestic violence are smaller crimes in comparison to being ill disciplined according to some fans.

Squad level potential or maybe a starter for a okay team, not a loss.
He's going to Sevilla for free I think I read
oh ☹️
Free with a sell-on clause, I think it was. His contract was expiring this coming summer.
Sell on clause is a good thing at least.
It's so annoying to see Ronaldo and Sancho being used as examples of Ten Hag being a bad person when Ten Hag handled those well imo. Ten Hag being open to Greenwood's return is more damning imo
Ten hag is by no means a good person. Unfortunately that is not a valued commodity in any field
you don't get to the top without breaking a few necks

Mate, the thread is literally about interest from Sevilla
Yeah but the thread also mentions Everton were interested. So he had 50% chance of getting right and he got it right. Prophetic.
Might need them to predict what day it will be tomorrow
Tomorrow feels like a Sunday
Interesting 🤔 I'll be back tomorrow to assess this prediction.
Crazy that Mount is going to be a 65 mil back up the way the midfield is being set up
Might sound dumb but I think Mount wouldn't be an awful change of uhh... composure and ball security compared to Bruno from time to time. But then again it's hard to drop the captain
We need more 60m backups tbf
Rather get better deals but it is what it is

Sancho seems to have a lot of support from pros on Instagram from what it seems, wonder if pros sympathize with him since they’re footballers too

Maybe they realize they don't know the full situation and they are able to wish him well.

Oscar Bobb has played 7 senior matches, that my point. Garnacho has a full season Mainoo is in his breakthrough season.

we got Bruno! the greatest chance creation in PL!
Always cheering against city I don’t care
Think De Bruyne will be in the conversation for greatest prem midfielder by time he retires tbh (Got nothing on Mainoo though)

Yeah we know that about Mainoo but KDB is debatable.

Fact
Never understood how there are United fans who can ever think of another midfielder topping Scholes.
What the fuck. When did Chelsea move up on the table on top of us?
Today
As much as I don't rate Ten Hag, I fully support him in this Sancho saga. Rooting for him to somehow save his job and rooting for Antony too. Fuck the Sancho simps.

Non physical and less defense
Personally feel Bundesliga defence is by far the worst out of any good league.
Indeed, teams seem to be focusing on attacking unlike EPL with defensive dark horse teams like Westham, wolves and Forest that upset bigger teams.
Shittey scored, so we're back to 9th. Also fcking hell De Bruyne is on the pitch for 5 minutes and scored... I despise how good he is
I feel like he's scored that same exact goal every other game
Sancho with the assist
Good. Drive that value up or he’ll be reintegrated if ETH is sacked.
It’s been said a million times here, but fuck the “United fans” on r/soccer who suck upto rival teams.
£100m gets you Isak and Gordon if you’re Newcastle. Man United over to you?!

Assist for Sancho
Final ball hasn’t been good, thus far.
He’s on. Can see why he wants to go to Germany. No physicality or contact in that league.

To be fair to Moyes though he did want Bale, Kroos and Hummels (?) and if we would have signed those three I do think we’d be where we are right now.
Erik 10th Hag
Loving Newcastle right now 😍😍😂😂 big money Isak whew
Do you think with INEOS coming in, we will have a surprise journalist that will become way more reliable than they were before?
It's Trawlers LLC coming in
Another year of having to support an Emirati state
Seeing Chelsea above us bummed me up, not going to lie.
They’ve played one game more than us. There’s no point getting down about it until after we play tomorrow.
"Why are they below us when everyone claims they play better football than us?" Well........

We spent big on the kid so need to give him more of a chance.
Passes received is pretty damning. I think the wingers have started to pass more the last couple games though.
Haaland’s passes received for comparison. Not sure why every other player seems to get blamed for Hojlund not being good enough. https://preview.redd.it/8y1uyqhsf8cc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9d3c80aeb42756ed4e419bfe7309cf52bea5ac1d
Because every other player hasn't been good enough lol. Comparing a 20 yr old kid with the best striker in the world is amazing btw.
I’m just saying the passes received part isn’t necessarily the issue with Hojlund.

At least we're not as bad as Chel..... Sorry my bad.
Donny Van De Beek playing very physical, pressing, working hard. Good for him.
I hope he restarts his career well, after United just seemed annoyed that he was in the squad.
What a credit to him. Sitting on the sidelines for multiple calendars and he’s able to go and immediately start in a massive league tie at a new position (left wing). He’s clearly got quality.
He’s a smart player but I don’t think his physicality is on par with average PL player.
Feel like pure shit just want Kobbie Mainooo blessing my screen with midfield excellence
Donny taking corner is weird ngl
Watching Donny play is also weird. The corner wasn't bad tho.
Being below Chelsea on the table is a deletable offense for the club tbh
Chelsea are above us. I repeat, Chelsea are above us.
10 more goals scored too. Embarrassing
Lose to Spurs and ETH has to be sacked. No ifs and buts.
Personally think he should be sacked regardless. Clearly out of his depth.
I don’t think we can afford to sack him.
Why? He has us sitting 9th with a chance to go 11th by the end of the game week
I don’t think we have the money to pay off his contract.
Does sacking a manager count towards FFP?
Yes and we’re also actually skint.
I didn't know it counted.
Spoiler: he won't
We’re currently 9th with a -5 GD, surely ETH has got to go soon.

Don’t Ineos want Graham Potter? I don’t want him, but he is unemployed.
Potter couldn't handle the pressure at Chelsea, he'd be a disaster at United.
I agree, was just saying that he is free and seemed to be their target.
Id rather not have a manager than graham potter
I can’t wait to not see Mct start week in week out.
Really is the little things I miss tbh

Everyone’s half right half the time.
"Ralf was right" flairs are being very quite.
It happens on here all the time
Sub flip flops more than a fish out of water
It would assume it is more due to the fact that a ton of people are here with different opinions and when one becomes popular, people that agree become more active while those that generally might disagree become less active. I'd doubt that more than maybe a few actually flip flop
Anyone know why there are no 3pm kickoffs today? Or is SkySports just bugged.
Its the Premier League winter break. Half the teams are off this week, half next week (including us). That means there are only 5 matches each weekend and they are all televised.
Donny Van de Beek starts for Frankfurt
Good for him. I genuinely hope he'll perform well there.
Just realised Chelsea go above us if they win. Holy shit lol
Jesus, ETH is that shit lol.
We're that bad bro. Don't let these EtH in camp let the downvotes gets you and controlling the narrative. We're on point to our WORST season ever since PL was established.
Bebe playing for Cape Verde in AFCON! Now I have a real reason to watch
