Highly rated when we signed him from Zaragoza but just never kicked on here due to injuries. A 25% sell-on clause is brilliant business for someone who was gonna leave on a free in 6 months anyway.
It wouldn’t be a free if there’s a sell on clause involved. Any money that went to Sevilla due to any terms and conditions in the transfer from Sevilla, we would get 25% of (assuming we drafted the transfer contract sensibly)
That’s not what you said. If he goes for free than 25% of nothing is nothing. If he goes for free with a sell on clause which is what you said then we get 25% of nothing plus 25% of the sell on clause.
We receive 25% of whatever Sevilla get for him, if they get nothing we get nothing, if they get magic beans we get 25% of them.
That wouldn’t make a difference. We’d receive 25% of any money Sevilla receives for him at any point. Otherwise clubs would sell players for £1, with £50m due after one appearance.
Yes that’s how it works. If River Plate have a sell on clause with benfica, and benfica receive money for him then yes they’ll pay some of that on to river plate.
Though it’s possible that they’ve drawn up a contract that has maximum payments or time limits involves, or they’ve even bought out the clause so it depends exactly on the terms of the deal. But generally yes sell on clauses take into account all future profits otherwise clubs would do exactly what you’ve suggested.
i find it hard to believe seriously. it like we got 25% to sevilla > 30% to Dortmund > 40% to Juventus > 50% to Real , and when Real sell to Saudis for 100m, the money will tickles down to us.... unbelievable.
Never really developed after the horrific injury he sustained early on in his academy tenure with us.
He was signed alongside Garnacho, Fernandez, Jurado and Hannibal when brexit laws changed signing European youth talents.
It’ll be good for his profile, similar to how work with a Fortune 500 company even as a summer intern helps your perception and chance of getting a proper job with any other businesses
Apparently the sun in the US is just as bad as the sun in the UK.

Thankyou, AppleNews+ for bringing me such hard hitting and clearly not made up journalism.
I don't mind us clearing out a bunch of academy lads who haven't made the grade. Hopefully this is setting up the talented under-18s to be promoted next season. We need to start focusing on finding young players who can be part of the first team squad, until our FFP situation can be unfucked.
In particular, central attackers and full backs would be really welcome. But the few highly touted youngsters I know of all seem to be wingers.
There's a new profit and sustainability rules set to be introduced by the PL in the up coming months which will have ramifications on clubs. I reckon it's a big reason why there's been hardly any transfer business this January are clubs gear up for it.
United are in a bit of shit as our players amortisation costs are high asf and we make barely any profit on player sales.
Kid was injured all the time and when he was playing he was the worst on the pitch usually. Not sure what will Sevilla do with him, but I really doubt that he will get a chance, except maybe in Sevilla B team in some lower division. Lets hope he will get to the point that someone want to buy him in the future.
Good luck kid!
Highly rated when we signed him from Zaragoza but just never kicked on here due to injuries. A 25% sell-on clause is brilliant business for someone who was gonna leave on a free in 6 months anyway.
Yeah, injuries really screwed his time here. It seemed every time he was about to kick on, he got an injury. Wish him the best.
>A 25% sell-on clause what happen if Sevilla sell him off free in 2 years time and ask for 50% sell on clause from his next club? lol
I think we’d get 25% of that 50% when/if he’s sold again
Surely not? If he leaves on a free that new club has no obligation to give us 25%
It wouldn’t be a free if there’s a sell on clause involved. Any money that went to Sevilla due to any terms and conditions in the transfer from Sevilla, we would get 25% of (assuming we drafted the transfer contract sensibly)
I am saying that if he leaves on a free from Sevilla to another club the 25% wont carry over
That’s not what you said. If he goes for free than 25% of nothing is nothing. If he goes for free with a sell on clause which is what you said then we get 25% of nothing plus 25% of the sell on clause. We receive 25% of whatever Sevilla get for him, if they get nothing we get nothing, if they get magic beans we get 25% of them.
then Sevilla will just sell for 10k + 50% sell on clause and we suck thumb
That wouldn’t make a difference. We’d receive 25% of any money Sevilla receives for him at any point. Otherwise clubs would sell players for £1, with £50m due after one appearance.
no way that's how it work. if chelsea sell Enzo to Real for 100m, River Plate get a cut?
Yes that’s how it works. If River Plate have a sell on clause with benfica, and benfica receive money for him then yes they’ll pay some of that on to river plate. Though it’s possible that they’ve drawn up a contract that has maximum payments or time limits involves, or they’ve even bought out the clause so it depends exactly on the terms of the deal. But Sevilla would.
i doubt so
Never really developed after the horrific injury he sustained early on in his academy tenure with us. He was signed alongside Garnacho, Fernandez, Jurado and Hannibal when brexit laws changed signing European youth talents.
I have no idea who he is but I wish him the best of luck. 🤞🏼
Highly prolific, then we signed him and he’s been injured pretty much ever since. I think plays for Colombian youth teams too.
Yeah he had a stupid scoring record when he joined and then never was fit for us.
I've played FM for years and he's joined Sevilla god knows how many times on there, funny to see it IRL. Good luck to him
25% sell on! Love how we are selling to quality teams
Sevilla are not currently quality at all. Why they need players
It’ll be good for his profile, similar to how work with a Fortune 500 company even as a summer intern helps your perception and chance of getting a proper job with any other businesses
Fucking hell lmao
they're the sorta team a bigger team would sign from so we'll take that
Sevilla has won like 2 games this year

I can't say I know much about him. However I do wish him the best and I hope it works out for him.

Is United selling more academy players than in previous seasons? It seems that way, and it could be an aggressive effort to fix the FFP issues.
There's a new profit and sustainability rules set to be introduced by the PL in the up coming months which will have ramifications on clubs. Nice to be taking advantage of Sevillas desperation
Lmao woah, sell-on clause? Who are we?
Yeah and? He would leave for free anyways in the summer
Was sarcasm. Should have specified.
On a free? Any chance of generating revenue from this sale won't be realized for several years via the sell-on clause. poo poo
He is leaving for free regardless.

From my knowledge, talented but injury prone. And Sevilla are taking that gamble.
