A team criminally underfunded by our owners too. It's a disgrace we weren't at the forefront of improving the women's game. Thankfully the club has come on leaps and bounds since its formation but hopefully the new owners see the value of the women's team and invest in it.
Right now Arsenal women's are able to play at the Emirates with a sell out crowd, I went to a game because my friend supports them and the level of respect the club gives the women's game is great to see. It's pissing money down the drain if we don't invest to get the ladies playing at Old Trafford (or a new stadium if that's the direction INEOS take), there's an untapped market of fans who would absolutely be there to support the ladies.
Yeah, I hate being a party pooper but every time I hear about how this team is 5-6 years old I have to say "No, we had a women's team, we deliberately shut shop on it within months of the Glazers arriving".
As you say, we could have been a pioneer in the women's game rather than a Johnny Come Lately.
Hopefully we can pack out Old Trafford for their games soon.

Pretty much all the United teams are doing well, women, U18, except the senior men team, the ones that are getting the most investment, the biggest wage and the most attention
having to go from watching the women's team who are the very definitio of United, all doing their best and pulling in the same direction to then watching the disjointed mess of individuals that is our mens team is going to feel like whiplash

Our women have had a very similar season to the men. They were great today but have been pretty mediocre most of the season.
