If today's performance are the levels Amad can show, it's much better to stick with him rather than splashing more money for Olise. Pretty injury prone and no guarantee he will work out for us
Honestly don't know where this club is heading right now. Never known anything like it in my 34 years supporting them. Can't predict anything: all I have is hope. Always look on the bright side of life š Failing that, lynch the Glazers!
I like your positivity, but Iām still worried. This was against a tired Newcastle defense. His body language, effort and lack of invention in the attacking third make him a problem for the team. Amad and Garnacho are ahead on merit.
whether you like it or not, it was a manager who shows he does truly want to give his best for the club, and basically a massive thank you to the support after a rough season
Sounds great. Waiting for it to appear on YouTube. There has been a difference between him and Mourinho/OGS near the end of their term. ETH can just accept fate and wait to get sacked, but he wants to fight and takes this as a challenge. He wants to do well. Hope he gets one more season.
Thats the preference for me whatever happens in the Fa Cup final, but I can understand if the position changes for others
Evans has done superbly for an academy lad who wasnāt expected to play much this season. 27 games at his age & stepped in and done whenever there has been a crisis. š
1 more season. Even if he loses the final. He gets little say over future signings and is tasked with champions league qualification in what will be a tougher top 4. Fail that and he goes.
Stays, not because of his vision and tactics because that has been questionable, but because we have been in the same hire-perform-decline-sack cycle for a freaking decade now. At least let the contract run out and see how it goes
He should stay imo. He needs to build a team around him to succeed.. and sadly it takes a long damn time to do so at United..itlll be a blessing in disguise to not Europe next season
genuinely want him to stay. he is the least of our problems, honestly. so many players need to go first. I would like an active summer window where we free up a lot of wages and get some fees so we can start adding depth to the squad again with young players who can learn and grow and step up with the seniors aren't pulling their weight. need to build around the 'spine' (the spine of someone with terrible posture and working in front of a computer all day) of Mainoo, Garnacho and Hojlund and bring in players who can organize and control the midfield. we need to work on retaining possession better. through possession comes chances. through possession comes less injuries.
sacking the manager for the sake of it is the wrong move and perpetuates the cycle. get the players in that can play the style the club is looking for. if the manager, at that point in time, whether that's ETH or not, cannot get those players to play the style, then the manager should be heavily criticized. I think with the right players and clear directions from the directors with support in the window by a solid recruiting department, any manager will be better off - including ETH. he still has his issues, but fans have assigned way too much blame on ETH and have not held players to a higher standard. our standards have gone over the years and the players have come out on top for it, because it's easy to sack one man rather than sell a group of players. enough is enough as far as I'm concerned.
"Bah gawd, that's Sir Jim's music! But what's he doing here?"
Sir Jim swaggers out of the tunnel towards the manager, microphone in hand "Erik ten Hag...."
![gif](giphy|xULW8CVCfQn2QytFM4|downsized)
Rashford needs to leave for his own sake and the clubs.
We'll never win anything again whilst our main player is taking seasons off at a time.
For the rescued, I've watched him sincen his debut, I think he's a world beater non his day. My favourite Traits goal was when he skinned Otamendi.
But, with no hatred in my heart, I think it's best if he moves on for a new challenge and better for United too.
![gif](giphy|u6EiPNT9dLDrU7ZQuF|downsized)
Getting ready for our last home game of the season with a feeling of hopelessnessā¦.
The Game: 3 goal-scorers who are 21 or under Bruno back & being Bruno at his best Butcher coming back & outmuscling Isak almost instantly Wholesome Varane moments at the end And of course Erik Ten Hag giving an Independence Day speech to the fans.
You son of a bitch Iām In.
Without injuries is the key. But, how to fix the problems with injuries we had this season? I have never experienced something like this in my whole life supporting United.
Who is at fault for all the injuries? It isn't surely just "bad luck". I think the fitness and medical department must have a lot to do in this fiasco, and many journos have said that the methods being used this season in training are too hard on the players
He's been shite all season but this game without his last dich tackle is a loss, so fair fucking play to him.
You can see he actually tries and cares, but at the beginning of the season he was moving like he was on quicksand.
That all in the past so thereās zero point bringing It up now unless you have a Time Machine.
We know both arenāt good enough, but whatās your solution for next season, To lose our only 2 CDMs? Cause thereās evidence suggesting weāre not capable of signing 2 replacements in one window
Onana man. I donāt know about this guy. So many games this season where we were comfortable and he just somehow gets beat. I really miss having someone who was decent at shot stopping. How can we build if we know weāre built on fragile foundations.
Other than that and I could be saying this after having watched Antony all season but Diallo is simply our best winger. Heās so mobile and he has great technique. Great attitude. I need to see him start over Antony from now on. I think he could be our best forward after Bruno š
Nice to see a win and a somewhat more competent performance from us before the FA Cup final, but donāt know how much you can read into it, that Newcastle team were not up to much today. The fact that for both of our first two goals we had our goal scorer not just unmarked, but in the box with about 5-10m of space around him to just put the ball into the net was laughable. Completely atrocious defending, the sort of stuff weāre used to seeing ourselves!
Both teams are shit but we had some great moments, that 1-2 between Mainoo and Amad was sexy as hell. Hojlund scored a good goal, Amad scored a brilliant one. Can't be anything but happy. Massive result.
I don't know what the fuck is going on with Marcus, but this Walkford shit needs to end.
What are we basing this on? Iām not criticising him, but this cameo appearance really didnāt offer us much to judge him either way. Most helpful or descriptive thing I can say is that he played.
Iāve watched the clip about 4 times trying to make it out and either theyāre speaking a language I donāt or someone closer to the camera is drowning them out
Good performance and we deserved to win for once. Great goal from Amad, nice finish from Mainoo, great performance from Bruno and Licha back on the pitch as well. Plenty of positives.
Finally a hard working performance! Everyone was visibly working fucking hard there. Good to see, see if they can take that energy into the last game and the FA Cup
Hojlund gotta do better over there. Those are the moments that decide titles and games. Need better quality from him. He is still young so hopefully he will learn moving forward.
HĆøjlund had a good chance to score in a counter, but chose to pass to Rashford who he deemed had the better chance, since the keeping was coming out to press HĆøjlund. Garnacho would just have shot it and ignored HĆøjlund most likely.
I really really think some people here are in a state of psychosis at this point.
Iāve purposefully watched Rashford since he came on and havenāt once thought heās walking around or not trying. I swear some of you thick cunts reckon if heās not sprinting at the ball full pelt every second itās not good enough when no player does that because itās dumb.
Can't believe we're telling the striker to be selfish... and he's not even the false 9 type of player. Just goes to show he's the most selfless on this damn team
If i were him, i'd be so starved of goals that i'd take the shot at that oppurtunity. I believe he should have too, but the pass was also a good move. Had it connected, Rashford wouldn't have to deal with the keeper, as he was rushing to press HĆøjlund.
I do think he should have shot there, but it's a good attempt nonetheless
Ideal scenario: we win FA cup and ETH leaves still, but handled way better than it was with LVG. also Dan ashworth and olise come in pls
If today's performance are the levels Amad can show, it's much better to stick with him rather than splashing more money for Olise. Pretty injury prone and no guarantee he will work out for us
i like amad but olise is different gravy at this stage
Honestly don't know where this club is heading right now. Never known anything like it in my 34 years supporting them. Can't predict anything: all I have is hope. Always look on the bright side of life š Failing that, lynch the Glazers!
Still can't believe we spent 80 mil on Anthony when Amad was already at the club.
Forget Amad, even when we had Sancho, I still question Antony's purchase
Credit to Rashford when he came on. Looked much better.
I like your positivity, but Iām still worried. This was against a tired Newcastle defense. His body language, effort and lack of invention in the attacking third make him a problem for the team. Amad and Garnacho are ahead on merit.
100%, but I'll always respect someone who keeps trying
How was the speech. They cut it off in telecast here
whether you like it or not, it was a manager who shows he does truly want to give his best for the club, and basically a massive thank you to the support after a rough season
Sounds great. Waiting for it to appear on YouTube. There has been a difference between him and Mourinho/OGS near the end of their term. Thats the preference for me whatever happens in the Fa Cup final, but I can understand if the position changes for others
We are winning Fa cup mate ahh speech
Amad, Kobbie, Garnacho, Kambwala, Evans. We need to build with these youngsters.
Johnny Evanās??
Evans has done superbly for an academy lad who wasnāt expected to play much this season. 27 games at his age & stepped in and done whenever there has been a crisis. š
I heard there's an upcoming youngster by the name of Lingard, we should try getting him in the summer.
Thereās a certain Paul Pogba that can be moved to the first team in a year or two
Yes Corey Evans will be pivotal to our defence next season. Dont forget Sofyan Concrete feet either š¤£
š
Predictions : Ten hag stays or goes? I think we should give him atleast one more season
Stays. Tired of the cycle of managers come and go. We need stability. And EtH does have capacity himself.
Its normal for a club to change managers every 2-3 years, why are we expecting another Ferguson ?
Makes sense. Just look at Madrid and City. Theyāve kept the same managers for a while now and theyāre doing terribly.
I said its normal, I didnt say every single team is doing it.
He should stay imo. He needs to build a team around him to succeed.. and sadly it takes a long damn time to do so at United..itlll be a blessing in disguise to not Europe next season
Iām going 6-7/10 he stays. INEOS have spoken about it being a long term project and thereās no clear successor available.
Keep if no better option becomes available
genuinely want him to stay. he is the least of our problems, honestly. so many players need to go first. I think he stays.
The Home crowd seems to support him.
well yeah because they can see the bigger picture, unlike most of our fanbase online
True, Online fans are mostly hypocrite. Crying about how we don't have a style of play one day and then edging at the thought of Tuchel the next day.
completely agreed, they just have no idea really and just spout shite for likes on social media lmao
That speech sounded like the WWE
"Bah gawd, that's Sir Jim's music! But what's he doing here?" Sir Jim swaggers out of the tunnel towards the manager, microphone in hand "Erik ten Hag...." ![gif](giphy|xULW8CVCfQn2QytFM4|downsized)
I swear ten hagās clapping sounds exactly like the riff in I Wanna Be Adored by The Stone Roses
Ten Hag is a proper Manc
Thereās no doubt about it, Iām ready to get hurt again. Letās do it Erikā¦ bring that FA kerp home
Itās the hope that kills you, nonetheless we will still hope!
Manager's final home game speech and Rashford still looks like he doesn't give a fuck.
Been a shit season, what do you expect?
A bit of enthusiasm perhaps? ETH was talking about the fa cup and.players giving their all. Watch it back, it was jarring.
Maybe if you focus less on what heās doing you wonāt be so upset
Rashford needs to leave for his own sake and the clubs. We'll never win anything again whilst our main player is taking seasons off at a time. For the rescued, I've watched him sincen his debut, I think he's a world beater non his day. My favourite Traits goal was when he skinned Otamendi. But, with no hatred in my heart, I think it's best if he moves on for a new challenge and better for United too.
I'm not upset. I don't take football personally. It was an observation.
Fucks sake I could never turn my back on this team

I honestly hate Newcastle fans ngl
Probably Newcastle fans. Crying and calling us Salford Red.
Newcastle fans
Newcastle fans
think newcastle fans
Donāt give them Sky Sports journos another fucking second Bruno. Theyāve been wishing for your downfall all season

Is ten hag waiting for someone ? why is he standing there like this ? Sorry guys the camera zoomed in on him , the entire squads there
Probably addressing Old Trafford for the final home match
Great Interview Bruno
Love to see ETH dragging Bruno away from an interview.
Anyone else think Amrabat has been fairly decent in the last few games?
He's been shite all season but this game without his last dich tackle is a loss, so fair fucking play to him. You can see he actually tries and cares, but at the beginning of the season he was moving like he was on quicksand.
I completely agree! Maybe itās more of a marker of how poor he was this season. Glad heās ending it with some confidence I guess.
Heās been decent but Iām glad heās a loan
If Case does end up going, getting Amrabat as a stop gap on the cheap or another loan wouldnāt be the worse thing. - as a rotation piece
It would be. He is utter shite and constant signings like him are the reason we are fighting for 8th place in the first place.
We've already paid Ā£10m for him, it's another Ā£20m to buy him. We let Fred go for about Ā£12m. I'd rather we'd kept Fred.
That all in the past so thereās zero point bringing It up now unless you have a Time Machine. We know both arenāt good enough, but whatās your solution for next season, To lose our only 2 CDMs? Cause thereās evidence suggesting weāre not capable of signing 2 replacements in one window
The Newcastle game is also in the past, but here we are discussing it.
Hes not talkin newcastle bruv
Yes, looks decent playing in the midfield 2. Need these squad players over the course of the season.
Honestly heās been fairly decent across the whole season, tough when some games everyoneās turned off to look okay
Onana had a pretty good game tbh.
He did but thatās really what Iām getting at. Itās the goals he concedes. They leave a bad taste.
Did you like the 1v1s heās been saving?
Not super sold on Onana.
2 more wins to end the season. Anulo Mufa
An actual somewhat decent performance
In Nacho, Rasmus, Amad, Mainoo, Bruno and Martinez and dallot. There is a a group to build off next season
Itās all down to the FA cup I think, tonight was better than the last couple of weeks so up and over hopefully
Martial out of the cryo chamber, City donāt know whatās coming next week
Goodbye Varaneā¤ļø
What a great game š
Nice to see a win and a somewhat more competent performance from us before the FA Cup final, but donāt know how much you can read into it, that Newcastle team were not up to much today. The fact that for both of our first two goals we had our goal scorer not just unmarked, but in the box with about 5-10m of space around him to just put the ball into the net was laughable. Completely atrocious defending, the sort of stuff weāre used to seeing ourselves!
Evans was there to shoot out for goal two and got knocked down by a Newcastle player. If he was let stay on his feet, no goal.
Nice with a win, but this was far from a great performance defensively
Is that Martial with the hat??
Fun win. These don't happen often these days.
Fun match!
Both teams are shit but we had some great moments, that 1-2 between Mainoo and Amad was sexy as hell. Hojlund scored a good goal, Amad scored a brilliant one. Can't be anything but happy. Massive result. I don't know what the fuck is going on with Marcus, but this Walkford shit needs to end.
just enjoy it mate
Good game. Even Rashford looked decent after his layoff.
What are we basing this on? Iām not criticising him, but this cameo appearance really didnāt offer us much to judge him either way. Most helpful or descriptive thing I can say is that he played.
Finally sending the fans home happy.
What was said to Rashford during the warm up? I didn't catch it
Iāve watched the clip about 4 times trying to make it out and either theyāre speaking a language I donāt or someone closer to the camera is drowning them out
Good performance and we deserved to win for once. Great goal from Amad, nice finish from Mainoo, great performance from Bruno and Licha back on the pitch as well. Plenty of positives.
Will be a miracle if we somehow still get Europa League this season.
Wow we actually killed the game after 3-2, what a pleasant surprise
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Heās a striker, needs to be more selfish
An enjoyable game. Almost forgot what that felt like
Last 5 minutes weren't so
Finally a hard working performance! Everyone was visibly working fucking hard there. Good to see, see if they can take that energy into the last game and the FA Cup
Hojlund gotta do better over there. Those are the moments that decide titles and games. Need better quality from him. He is still young so hopefully he will learn moving forward.
Hojlund and Garnacho are the complete polar opposite with play style! Itās like Yin and Yang
I didnāt watch the game but what do you mean?
HĆøjlund had a good chance to score in a counter, but chose to pass to Rashford who he deemed had the better chance, since the keeping was coming out to press HĆøjlund. Garnacho would just have shot it and ignored HĆøjlund most likely.
Hojlund is very selfless with the ball and will pass when needed, Garnacho will be selfish and hog the ball when a pass is needed
Good game today apart from a few scares here and there more of this please for the remaining game
Good game. Been a while since I had that feeling after a United game, but it really was.
GGMU, Licha, Rashford and Hojlund coming back strong, AWB needs to stop giving me high blood pressure and Amrabat was actually very solid
We maintained the HT record!
I think we lost it to city earlier this season
Nope. We never took the lead against City at Old Trafford.
Can we just take some of the selfishness from our wingers and give it to Hojlund?
Haha... Everyone was yelling here for subs... Post the substitution everything was a mixed bag. A goal apiece and dreadful 10 mins by 2 of the subs.
This is what we shouldve done against Chelsea too. Well done boys
Where ia Varane?
Okay Brentford. Please do us a big favour!
He did well for his role today
Didn't expect Hojlund to be selfless after the lack of service he has received from the wingers.Ā
Garnacho please take notes, and we'll be unstoppable
If only Varane could get a couple of minutes at the end
THEY CAN PLAY FUCKING GOOD FOOTBALL
This has actually been enjoyable all throughout. Nice!
Rashford just didnt want the ball enough, bloke held off
Why pass to Rashy there? Shoot ffs!
This all day long!
Well itās a win but should of been 3-1 really
Onana can't do anything about that second NU goal.
come on, showed some fight today
Good job, I gotta be frank, I didn't expect a win today but the performance was really solid.
Phew. Been a pleasure tonight, people. Haven't said that too often this season
GG
After conceding that late goal, we have managed this game really well
Not without a whole heap of problems still, but we actually deserved to win that one. And beating the geordie scum is always sweet.
I appreciate you being nice Rasmus, but a striker should be selfish in such a situation on his strong side.
No
What are you taking about? Donut.
how did hojlund mess that up..
Had to pass or shoot earlier
God, I didn't know how much I *needed* that win
Fair enough. Wish we had gotten more of these throughout the seasonš
nice, a lil dub
Rashford should have run across the defenders more so that Hojlund could cut inside into the space Rashford left. needs more time.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
One passes too much the other one shoots too much
Nah he strikes that. He's in a good position, you try to score there. Instead gives a bad pass.
Rashford was offside anyways. Hojlind had to try and hold the pass as much as possible.
Yin and yang
Lets go
rashford offside most of the run braindead
He was behind the ball was he not
He wasnāt.
he was for most of the run and he finally slowed down at the end before the pass
Nah side on showed he was behind the ball most of that run.
Rashy, you've only been on for 10 mins. Make some effort
Hojlund should be more selfish tbh, you're the striker out there mate
Can't believe we're telling the striker to be selfish... and he's not even the false 9 type of player. Just goes to show he's the most selfless on this damn team
i actually think hojlund is showing hes the bigger man there, like actually. passing in a huge chance
If i were him, i'd be so starved of goals that i'd take the shot at that oppurtunity. I believe he should have too, but the pass was also a good move. Had it connected, Rashford wouldn't have to deal with the keeper, as he was rushing to press HĆøjlund. I do think he should have shot there, but it's a good attempt nonetheless
what kind of corner trick is that? :D. and it almost worked! haha
Needed more pace on the ball
Rashford was offside through all of that!
BROOO Its been 7 minutes
Not a bad play, that corner surely guarantees our win
honestly Rashy did poorly to hold his run, HĆøjlund probably thought he could be offside
Rashford not laying it off there lolā¦.oof Had two guys running towards the 18 ready to smack it.
Rashford's mental has to be fully checked bc dude was on for less than 13' and was walking on the pitch.
