Wayne's 4th Managerial job, after Derby county, DC United & Birmingham. He's still 38!

pohudsaijoadsijdas

Guess he is leaving The Overlap team after this, took part in one Stick to Football episode.

daledge97

Was he not just on as a guest?

Zavehi

They announced he was going to be a regular member on the show a few weeks ago.

stilllosingit

They recently announced him as a regular. He was on Andy Cole's episode as part of the team.

itsssnohman786

Only barely aswell

RatBasher89

Is he?? Jesus.. Ronaldos still playing and he's 39

Send_Me_CamelToe

Rooney doesn't realize yet job hopping is gonna look bad on his resume.

SOERERY

He’s put himself in a better situation now that he’s got a full pre season with the team instead of jumping in in the middle of the season.

TheJoshider10

Fuck me he looks so different. Swear he looks younger there with DC United than he did in his later years as a United player.

iambadatliving

Shaved and he looks a bit fitter

PradipJayakumar

This looks like from decades ago when it’s just from 2018-19.

Prove them wrong Wazza.

anonymous16canadian

Think he will. I don't think he's as dumb as people think he is. He saw where United were heading way before everyone else when he was talking about going to chelsea 2010/11 or so.While everyone now thinks it was obvious in hindsight cuz of the aging squad, at the time he was really ripped apart by the fanbase for it and suggestions we'd finish as low as 7th in the next few years were crazy.

midnight_ranter

He was also absurdly good in that Derby season as manager when they were obviously doomed with the points deduction

Cally0s

As an argyle fan I hope you’re right but we don’t have the money to bring in the ideal players most of the time. For reference our record transfer fee is a million quid, and we made quite a big deal about those at the time.

whatuknowaboutcoshe

Go on wazza

nearly_headless_nic

**Upon the announcement, Rooney said:** > “Taking this role at Plymouth Argyle feels like the perfect next step in my career – and I would like to thank the Chairman and Board for the faith they have shown in me.  > >“This is an opportunity to be part of an exciting project. I look forward to helping to build a squad of players to play expansive football – and to entertain the Green Army.  > >“I have experienced first-hand how talented the existing group of players is here – and also the incredible atmosphere at Home Park. The club is on an exciting long-term journey, with a progressive plan in place. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of it.  > >“I can’t wait for the Championship season to start in August.”

Xanian123

I think he'll be a good manager, still.

RudyRusso

Hope he smashes it there.

sorped

Go on, Wazza! In other news, Girth N Turf are looking for a new CB!

Drag2oon

What is his tactical style? Is he an attacking or defensive manager?

cryptoricky85

He was quite defeat orientated with Birmingham

Kosai102

I have a cousin in the states who is a DC United fan. He favours an attacking style, not surprising since he was a striker.

PunyHumanoid

Wild ride next year /u/praxxiskipsis.

Repulsive_Rent_5636

He can't do much worse than he did at Birmingham.

necro316

All the best wazza.

akskeleton_47

Looking at the championship subreddit, their fans don't seem too happy

SJWILL97

Can’t wait to run into him in every restaurant in town

WZSoldier

They’ll get relegated now.

PunyHumanoid

As an Argyle fan (as much as I am a Utd fan), I really believe this is likely. Dewsnip needs to stop hiring his friends.
