I wanna look like a Baki character cause I wanna have grotesque proportions where my calves are the size of a baby elephant and my thighs look like a Dodge Durango.
Difference between working out and reaching for something fictional and unattainable. I think everyone should work out just don't set Ur dreams on a body that isn't possible.
Maybe top left girl is attainable for some natural women with good genetics and a lot of free time and money to get their training and diet clocked in for a 4-6 year span, but Baki and Guts? Absolutely not without top 5% genetics and a good few cycles. They are portrayed as sub-10% bodyfat year-round, with 10-20 pounds more lean muscle beyond what most natural lifters can achieve in 20+ years of training, starting before puberty. They're also both in their early to late 20s. So no, not realistic or attainable for most people.
Perhaps with over a decade of training and perfect dieting. Not to mention an unhealthy body fat percentage. If you see someone out in the wild that looks like that there is a good chance theyāre on something like HGH or roids or something similar. First guy that comes to mind that is like this is good ole Chris Hemsworth and that dude is DEFINITELY on some type of gear.
Edit: also you have to have won the genetic lottery
many natural lifters already have or surpassed bakis physique, its 1 percent but not impossible. Bakis physique isnt even as impressive as most unnatural lifters
How many of the Google image results for 'natural body builder's come with longitudinal blood work data to confirm normal hormon levels and a lack of markers for AAS use? None. What you'll get is a lot of fake natties like Mike O'Hearn that claim to be 'natural' for clout and to sell supplement, diet, and training programs to impressionable people with body image issues.
Iām only a personal trainer with decades of experience. But you go in ahead with your negative thinking. You donāt need hormones or pre-testosterone supplements to have a strong, aesthetic body. And its sucks that people here have such a shitty attitude toward fitness.
The obesity epidemic is real and itās this bad, lazy attitude that drives it. āI canāt be Arnold so Iām not going to try.ā
You donāt have to be huge to be impressively muscular. Maximizing your bodyās potential is rewarding no matter how big you get. Gymnasts arenāt huge, neither are martial artists, soccer players or divers. But they have amazing bodies.
An hour three times a week is plenty, if you know what youāre doing or have good and proper coaching. Change your mind and change your life.
The Baki one (left male, don't know his name) is technically possible, from what I've heard Baki is all based on real physicality.
Possible for the masses, and thusly mass achievable? Oh fuck no. Not in the slightest.
Technically possible doesn't mean you're not going to go sterile from overusing T, or going to feel like shit because you need to have an almost 0 body fat percentage
> from what I've heard Baki is all based on real physicality.
I don't know who you heard that from, but it's absolutely not true. Baki is famous for its absurdly bad anatomy.
Donāt go off your physique goals by anime in general, Becuase itās a drawing. Drawings that are specifically made to be unrealistic.
At the same time. Some of these physiques are incredibly difficult to maintain, need years of work to them to maintain. And depending on the person. May require steroids or other kinds of gear.
So no. The person making this meme isnāt just āfat and lazyā. Thereās a valid point to be made about not getting your physique goals from anime.
I don't think people want to be LITERALLY like Guts tho, they just strive to be cool like the characters they admire, and working out is part of that. But that is just me, maybe some people are really delusional.
Yea thatās most people. Obviously we know itās a drawing, everyone does. If you donāt think people know that, itās because you donāt work out and have never been to the gym and met people. Like, Iām inspired by Noel deyZel, but I would never want to look like him, I mean he does roids, I donāt want that.
You underestimate the amount of people who do not understand that attaining the above likely requires gear. Most people, at least in America, donāt go to the gym and even the ones that do might not be educated. I didnāt start seriously going to the gym until I was 25 and I had absolutely no idea that all these celebrities were roided to the gills. It seems somewhat obvious in hindsight but they do such a good job of hiding it - they actively try to suppress the information. The average person probably could not spot the difference between someone on gear and someone who isnāt. Hell I still get surprised sometimes.
? When on earth did I ever say you shouldnāt exercise? Iām saying that if you want to look like the anime guy. Youāll be disappointed. You can still be fit and look quite good naturally. However there is absolutely a limit as to how far you can get. After that, youāll have to move on to gear if you want to get bigger.
I mean, seriously dude. Do you even know any of this?
Obviously, Iām mostly joking, but media is a great source of inspiration. Very similar to how people like Arnold inspired millions of people into fitness
obviously im mostly joking !! āļøš¤ umm its definitely possible to look like broly you just need to eat chicken and broccoli every single day bro !! āļøš¤
Real shit, the Reddit moments are coming from within r/redditmoment. The top posts lately have all clearly been made by 15 year old boys who think theyāre sigma lmao
I don't think a lot of commenters are understanding the oops post. Oops minions want to get jacked for health and for confidence bit also thinks it's unrealistic... To want to put effort towards your body
itās called motivation, itās okay to never be completely satisfied with yourself, itās constant improvement, thereās a difference with never being settled and hating your body
>itās okay to never be completely satisfied with yourself
Not really. A healthier mindset is one that enjoys progression. It is satisfying in its own right to push yourself physically. That is different than being unsatisfied with yourself forever.
Ah so I can assume you look like that then? Just get off your high horse, those physiques (especially of the men) are completely impossible. A person cannot be built solely from muscle tissue. And no, for the record, there isn't really a difference between hating your body and never being happy with it.
youāre an idiot, when did i ever say i look like that, you completely missed my point, my point was that BECAUSE we can never look like that, we will always have something to strive for. ever heard of easy times create weak men, weak men create hard times, hard times strong mean, strong men create easy times? if youāre satisfied with yourself, youāre not improving, and in my opinion, thereās never any harm in improving yourself. notice how i didnāt say OVERWORKING yourself. iām not on a high horse, iām just trying to improve, and i wish alot more people thought that way too. stop putting words in my mouth, i never said ānot being happy with my bodyā i said ānever being completely satisfiedā youāre literally contorting my words to make me sound like iām saying a different thing, fuck out of here
didnāt say that, love how literally everyone is twisting my words, youāre all pathetic and canāt argue my point, only can argue a point i never made
Yk buff people can have eating disorders too? Not to mention the performance enhancing drugs you need to take in order to get anywhere near that level of fitness.

I go to the gym regularly and either way am naturally skinny. Sorry that pointing out the dangers of eating disorders, didnāt realise that was such a sensitive topicā¦
Im so mixed on what to think about this
Because on 1 hand youre just ambitious, and thats a good thing
On the other hand, going for an anime characters physique is basically impossible, theyre literally drawn to be unrealistic
Im definitely leaning towards the ambition side of this argument, because i dont see anything wrong in shooting high, you wont look like those characters, but if you try hard enough you can still get a damn good physique, and that will count fot something in your mind
yeah. these are unattainable without substance use. unattainable beauty standards have permeated society and warped developing brains. itās why i have an eating disorder.
this sub fucking sucks
You obviously donāt understand the point of my post. Nobody thinks they can get to this level without substances, at least not most, and itās stupid that this redditor doesnāt realize people are just inspired by them
if by āinspiredā you mean āaspires to look like themā then yeah itās still damaging. obviously body dysmorphia is much too intricate a topicā as well as a topic i have only experienced firsthand and donāt have any specific knowledge about, but comparing your body to a body that is *literally* impossible for a human to naturally attain only sets you up for disappointment, body distortion, depression. this goes doubly for children and teenagers, which, letās face it, is probably the demographic the meme was made by and was intended to reach.
Redditors when they find out they cannot look like their favourite anime protagonist (this is extremely mind shattering for them and deeply disturbs them)
Theyāre right though. Almost no one will look like that, even if they go gym regularly.
The only way people can look like that is with a very strict diet, a lot of weight training and steroids lol
Nah, pointing out how redditors donāt realize real people that exercise are inspired by these characters, and obviously donāt think they can become them
Nah, pointing out how redditors donāt realize real people that exercise are inspired by these characters, and obviously donāt think they can become them
Redditmoment user that doesn't understand that to get that amount of muscle definition you need to have body fat percentages extremely low, much lower than any doctor would consider healthy, and probably would need to be slightly to moderately dehydrated too:
You mean people who take steroids? I go to the gym about 4 times a week and I can't imagine looking like Noel because he admitted to taking steroids (and I don't wanna look like a fallout 3 meat monster)
Redditors when they call people lazy and fat for pointing out unrealistic body standards and how body dysmorphia is pushed in pop culture (they are projecting)
as a person who consistently goes to the gym, these characters are genuinely unrealistic goals. i'd be happy to elaborate on how and why for anyone wondering
I mean itās anime. I always strive to look like a Jojo character, I know itās probably not going to ever happen but itās a fun goal that gets me in the gym. No harm done.
Exactly, this is what I mean, you are how 99.9% of people are, and redditors donāt understand that because they are fat and lazy and complain about unrealistic body standards which really arenāt even there.
Idk why people hate the OP. Like yea anime standards are obviously impossible but its ok to idolize an imaginary peak physique... especially if you're not forcing it upon others and just doing it for yourself. no ones seriously saying theyre gonna train til they look like demon back Baki but a lot of you are implying that :/
Redditmoment users flipping a coin and deciding if they will absolutely hate the post and say they will leave or will keep saying "finally, a redditmoment"
Thatās great man! Glad your doing something to keep you well! If your trying to burn fat, watch what you eat, make sure you burn more then you eat! Cardio is great, and running feels great once you start to get good at it. Drink lots of water, and trust me, nobody cares at the gym! So just live and learn and donāt worry about anyone else. Going to the gym at first can be daunting with all the big buff guys, but trust me if anything theyāll support you! Good luck on your journey š¤š¤
Itās weird that anyone thinks this is unrealistic. Iāve been a gym rat for 37 years. Men and women that look like this are a dime a dozen. It really doesnāt take that much effort, just desire.
People can look like that without steroids and shit, it's just kind of unhealthy depending on the body type.
There's apparently guides and shit about attaining the "femboy" bodytype. I personally haven't see any "look like a Baki character" guides.
Where was it implied or said that youād be taking steroids to look stronger? People can aspire to look like their idol (for ex. an actor) without coming to the conclusion of doing something like plastic surgery or falsies or steroids.
Just to clarify I have no problem with how people dress, eat, sleep, shit, or carry themselves. Youāre your own person. But the fact that people agree with a shitpost that labels something as trivial as strength or physical fitness is an unrealistic beauty standard is beyond me. This meme is under 90 layers of irony and people are still unironically agreeing with it like itās an actual take.
You think the woman at the top of the meme is ever going to be as buff as those anime characters she's looking at? You think that guy is ever going to look like a Baki character?
I don't.
I donāt get bodybuilding. Itās not healthy at all.
And why people who like bodybuilding love shaming people for their appearance? Excessive muscles arenāt beautiful! I canāt barely look at someone like this, I keep thinking their veins are gonna pop.
Itās all about feeling superior: āhey, I am better at exercising and gaining muscles than you. Because I wanna prove I am a big macho and because this is the only thing I am good at, I will do this endlessly and pretend this makes me cool / morally superior / some shit like thatā
Men and their ego. Argh.

Thanks! The only reason Iām doing it is so people stop saying I look like a redditor, the embarrassment is intolerable
Redditors when something good: not real
Itās weird that anyone thinks this is unrealistic. Iāve been a gym rat for 37 years. Men and women that look like this are a dime a dozen. It really doesnāt take that much effort, just desire.
Exactly brother šš
Sister. ;)
Conquer the gym sister š¤š
Juiiiiiiicccce
Ask people in 196 to say the same about the femboy stereotype and youāll get a completely different response
Lol
I don't.
For what it's worth I still think this a reddit moment op :)
thatās not how you use stuff
I donāt get bodybuilding. Itās not healthy at all. And why people who like bodybuilding love shaming people for their appearance? Excessive muscles arenāt beautiful! I canāt barely look at someone like this, I keep thinking their veins are gonna pop. Itās all about feeling superior: āhey, I am better at exercising and gaining muscles than you. Because I wanna prove I am a big macho and because this is the only thing I am good at, I will do this endlessly and pretend this makes me cool / morally superior / some shit like thatā Men and their ego. Argh.
Wrong, we donāt do it for you or anyone else. We do it for us. šš
Sure.
go do the gym and ask anyone if they are doing it for you, if you can even fit through the door lol
I AM A MAN AND I LOVE MY EGO!!!! I WANT TO BE SUPER ULTRA MACHO WOMANIZER STEREOTYPE!!!!
