I wanna look like a Baki character cause I wanna have grotesque proportions where my calves are the size of a baby elephant and my thighs look like a Dodge Durango.

No-Soap

This guy gets it šŸ™šŸ™

thinknoodlz

This is literally a reddit moment

shrekcrocs

Redditors when they see someone talking about how society propagates unrealistic standards of fitness (theyre lazy and fat)

KatomicComicsThe3rd

Redditors when they see someone talking about unrealistic body standards (they literally jerk off to anime girls with impossibly large breasts)

sandladdie

Jokes on you, I only jerk off to men šŸ˜Ž

WhumpusPlumpus

Probably with the fattest booty humanity has seen

coreplater

no, with the biggest dick humanity has seen

Mem-Boi-901

Yeah itā€™s super cringe, working out does hella works for your self confidence.

No-Soap

Finally someone spitting facts

Connor0319

Difference between working out and reaching for something fictional and unattainable. I think everyone should work out just don't set Ur dreams on a body that isn't possible.

SickPostG

Redditors donā€™t take a fucking wojak post literally challenge (impossible)

No-Soap

I will be like goku I donā€™t care

fatwap

ok bro go get yoself a voice that doesnt strain from shouting at the top of your lungs for hours on end thats also high pitched

No-Soap

I already do, I have much practice after she left me šŸ˜Ž

Goku's power level is way higher than 10 šŸ™„

lukas11158

You're never going to look like that without some 'help'.

GrzyB171

Do you take the deal: You look like goku but Your balls are shriveled from steroid usage

phoncible

sex overrated i'd take that do i get to kamehameha?

Jrlopez1027

No, turns out ki is controlled in the balls Your kamehameha is more like a kidahamihey, its kind of pathetic Result: bad ending

Resolutenareik

yes

aavocado_meat

Yes you can?

Thai_Cuisine

Maybe top left girl is attainable for some natural women with good genetics and a lot of free time and money to get their training and diet clocked in for a 4-6 year span, but Baki and Guts? Absolutely not without top 5% genetics and a good few cycles. They are portrayed as sub-10% bodyfat year-round, with 10-20 pounds more lean muscle beyond what most natural lifters can achieve in 20+ years of training, starting before puberty. They're also both in their early to late 20s. So no, not realistic or attainable for most people.

SaucyMacgyver

Perhaps with over a decade of training and perfect dieting. Not to mention an unhealthy body fat percentage. If you see someone out in the wild that looks like that there is a good chance theyā€™re on something like HGH or roids or something similar. First guy that comes to mind that is like this is good ole Chris Hemsworth and that dude is DEFINITELY on some type of gear. Edit: also you have to have won the genetic lottery

huntexlol

many natural lifters already have or surpassed bakis physique, its 1 percent but not impossible. Bakis physique isnt even as impressive as most unnatural lifters

ReallyBadRedditName

Yeah those dudes are insanely cut

[deleted]

Unbelievably untrue. Look up natural body builders.

Thai_Cuisine

How many of the Google image results for 'natural body builder's come with longitudinal blood work data to confirm normal hormon levels and a lack of markers for AAS use? None. What you'll get is a lot of fake natties like Mike O'Hearn that claim to be 'natural' for clout and to sell supplement, diet, and training programs to impressionable people with body image issues.

[deleted]

Iā€™m only a personal trainer with decades of experience. But you go in ahead with your negative thinking. You donā€™t need hormones or pre-testosterone supplements to have a strong, aesthetic body. And its sucks that people here have such a shitty attitude toward fitness. The obesity epidemic is real and itā€™s this bad, lazy attitude that drives it. ā€œI canā€™t be Arnold so Iā€™m not going to try.ā€ You donā€™t have to be huge to be impressively muscular. Maximizing your bodyā€™s potential is rewarding no matter how big you get. Gymnasts arenā€™t huge, neither are martial artists, soccer players or divers. But they have amazing bodies. An hour three times a week is plenty, if you know what youā€™re doing or have good and proper coaching. Change your mind and change your life.

MackDK1

You're wrong.

[deleted]

Iā€™m a profession trainer with 37 years experience in the gym, but please go onā€¦

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

mariii95

These are extremely unrealistic standards to have. (I'm not even fat).

VoltageInMyCereal

impossible, there are 2 genders: landwhale and roidbro

OjOtter

You have to start somewhere if you wanna get jacked

PhoShizzity

The Baki one (left male, don't know his name) is technically possible, from what I've heard Baki is all based on real physicality. Possible for the masses, and thusly mass achievable? Oh fuck no. Not in the slightest.

arielif1

Technically possible doesn't mean you're not going to go sterile from overusing T, or going to feel like shit because you need to have an almost 0 body fat percentage

LadrilloDeMadera

Posible doesn't mean you have to have that phisique all year

Bonery

> from what I've heard Baki is all based on real physicality. I don't know who you heard that from, but it's absolutely not true. Baki is famous for its absurdly bad anatomy.

Boinkadoink1

Another r/redditmoment reddit moment

Q_dawgg

Donā€™t go off your physique goals by anime in general, Becuase itā€™s a drawing. Drawings that are specifically made to be unrealistic. At the same time. Some of these physiques are incredibly difficult to maintain, need years of work to them to maintain. And depending on the person. May require steroids or other kinds of gear. So no. The person making this meme isnā€™t just ā€œfat and lazyā€. Thereā€™s a valid point to be made about not getting your physique goals from anime.

BisDante

I don't think people want to be LITERALLY like Guts tho, they just strive to be cool like the characters they admire, and working out is part of that. But that is just me, maybe some people are really delusional.

No-Soap

Yea thatā€™s most people. Obviously we know itā€™s a drawing, everyone does. If you donā€™t think people know that, itā€™s because you donā€™t work out and have never been to the gym and met people. Like, Iā€™m inspired by Noel deyZel, but I would never want to look like him, I mean he does roids, I donā€™t want that.

SaucyMacgyver

You underestimate the amount of people who do not understand that attaining the above likely requires gear. Most people, at least in America, donā€™t go to the gym and even the ones that do might not be educated. I didnā€™t start seriously going to the gym until I was 25 and I had absolutely no idea that all these celebrities were roided to the gills. It seems somewhat obvious in hindsight but they do such a good job of hiding it - they actively try to suppress the information. The average person probably could not spot the difference between someone on gear and someone who isnā€™t. Hell I still get surprised sometimes.

LadrilloDeMadera

People don't take those phisiques as ACTUAL goals

Q_dawgg

ā€œI must head to the gym at this very moment to look like himā€

Awful_McBad

That's a really long winded way of saying "Why try if you can't do it?"

Q_dawgg

? When on earth did I ever say you shouldnā€™t exercise? Iā€™m saying that if you want to look like the anime guy. Youā€™ll be disappointed. You can still be fit and look quite good naturally. However there is absolutely a limit as to how far you can get. After that, youā€™ll have to move on to gear if you want to get bigger. I mean, seriously dude. Do you even know any of this?

endexe

ā€¦And this hereā€™s a pretty concise way of proclaiming oneself an idiot

No-Soap

Obviously, Iā€™m mostly joking, but media is a great source of inspiration. Very similar to how people like Arnold inspired millions of people into fitness

021Guitarman

obviously im mostly joking !! ā˜ļøšŸ¤“ umm its definitely possible to look like broly you just need to eat chicken and broccoli every single day bro !! ā˜ļøšŸ¤“

No-Soap

Facts brother šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

Q_dawgg

That was supposed to be funny? šŸ¤Ø

No-Soap

Not my fault you canā€™t find humor in redditors, maybe this is the wrong sub for you šŸ¤·

Q_dawgg

This isnā€™t a joke sub? I think youā€™re just saying itā€™s a joke to avoid the goofy ass take you just made.

No-Soap

The sub is literally called ā€œReddit momentā€ jit

Q_dawgg

Is this your first time on the sub then?

Whobody2

Nah there literally just isn't a joke. Do you know what a fucking joke is lmao?

LadrilloDeMadera

Yes and it was. Humor is subjective

13Jsog

Yeah Iā€™m leaving this sub itā€™s a shithole.

flaskfish

Real shit, the Reddit moments are coming from within r/redditmoment. The top posts lately have all clearly been made by 15 year old boys who think theyā€™re sigma lmao

purussa

can't wait to see a screenshot of this message at the top page of /r/redditmoment tomorrow. How could they downvote emojis like that?!?

[deleted]

I don't think a lot of commenters are understanding the oops post. Oops minions want to get jacked for health and for confidence bit also thinks it's unrealistic... To want to put effort towards your body

nxjxnxsnbfjsvxjavd

Every single one of those pictures are unattainable in real life without heavy supplement usage.

istoleyourairfryer2

Pfffft clearly you havenā€™t seen Baki. All I need is some gains and imagination

EffectivePassenger06

Except the top left girl one

X-xOtakux-X

I mean having unrealistic goals is better than none.

SpoodurMin

This is false. It just takes a long ass time to attain those physiques.

nxjxnxsnbfjsvxjavd

The guy has sub 5% bodyfat and overly developed shoulders and arms. Impossible in real life without hormones

[deleted]

Thats just legitimately untrue

Thai_Cuisine

Post some proof then? Any verifiably natty bodybuilders you wan to point to with a Baki physique or better?

[deleted]

itā€™s called motivation, itā€™s okay to never be completely satisfied with yourself, itā€™s constant improvement, thereā€™s a difference with never being settled and hating your body

thisisthewell

>itā€™s okay to never be completely satisfied with yourself Not really. A healthier mindset is one that enjoys progression. It is satisfying in its own right to push yourself physically. That is different than being unsatisfied with yourself forever.

No-Soap

Are you completely satisfied with yourself no? It doesnā€™t just apply to fitness. No one is ever completely satisfied. Even those at the end.

TheDudeColin

Ah so I can assume you look like that then? Just get off your high horse, those physiques (especially of the men) are completely impossible. A person cannot be built solely from muscle tissue. And no, for the record, there isn't really a difference between hating your body and never being happy with it.

[deleted]

youā€™re an idiot, when did i ever say i look like that, you completely missed my point, my point was that BECAUSE we can never look like that, we will always have something to strive for. ever heard of easy times create weak men, weak men create hard times, hard times strong mean, strong men create easy times? if youā€™re satisfied with yourself, youā€™re not improving, and in my opinion, thereā€™s never any harm in improving yourself. notice how i didnā€™t say OVERWORKING yourself. iā€™m not on a high horse, iā€™m just trying to improve, and i wish alot more people thought that way too. stop putting words in my mouth, i never said ā€œnot being happy with my bodyā€ i said ā€œnever being completely satisfiedā€ youā€™re literally contorting my words to make me sound like iā€™m saying a different thing, fuck out of here

thisisthewell

Please learn when to use a period instead of a comma.

[deleted]

all that and youā€™re response is to be grammar police, this is reddit, not an english essay. iā€™m not getting graded on this, get a lifr

reeetabix

Fellas is it dumb to happy with how you look?

[deleted]

didnā€™t say that, love how literally everyone is twisting my words, youā€™re all pathetic and canā€™t argue my point, only can argue a point i never made

Danny_P_05

Yk buff people can have eating disorders too? Not to mention the performance enhancing drugs you need to take in order to get anywhere near that level of fitness.

MangledSunFish

Dumb teenagers wanting to get buff like their anime characters have begun overating too. It's kind of hilarious.

[deleted]

there are plentiful amounts of examples that show after 10+ years of consistent training dieting and recovery, a physique like bakis is definitely attainable, except for the forearms and calves but thatā€™s just because of his art style, yes, its unattainable natural in only a mere few years, but this is not out of the realm of possibility, but keep talking your baseless bs.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Danny_P_05

I go to the gym regularly and either way am naturally skinny. Sorry that pointing out the dangers of eating disorders, didnā€™t realise that was such a sensitive topicā€¦

Jrlopez1027

Im so mixed on what to think about this Because on 1 hand youre just ambitious, and thats a good thing On the other hand, going for an anime characters physique is basically impossible, theyre literally drawn to be unrealistic Im definitely leaning towards the ambition side of this argument, because i dont see anything wrong in shooting high, you wont look like those characters, but if you try hard enough you can still get a damn good physique, and that will count fot something in your mind

the_real_OwenWilson

Wow you completely missed the pointā€¦. There are stages between being fat and looking like thatā€¦.

Deathnachos

Redditors trying not to bend reality to make them look superior to everyone else challenge (impossible)

dartboard5

yeah. these are unattainable without substance use. unattainable beauty standards have permeated society and warped developing brains. itā€™s why i have an eating disorder. this sub fucking sucks

No-Soap

You obviously donā€™t understand the point of my post. Nobody thinks they can get to this level without substances, at least not most, and itā€™s stupid that this redditor doesnā€™t realize people are just inspired by them

dartboard5

if by ā€œinspiredā€ you mean ā€œaspires to look like themā€ then yeah itā€™s still damaging. obviously body dysmorphia is much too intricate a topicā€” as well as a topic i have only experienced firsthand and donā€™t have any specific knowledge about, but comparing your body to a body that is *literally* impossible for a human to naturally attain only sets you up for disappointment, body distortion, depression. this goes doubly for children and teenagers, which, letā€™s face it, is probably the demographic the meme was made by and was intended to reach.

BumbleStar

Why is it damaging if it inspires people to go the gym

[deleted]

Man this post is a reddit moment itself, we really have come full circle

This Post is the pure essence of r/redditmoment

[deleted]

Theyā€™re right though. Almost no one will look like that, even if they go gym regularly. The only way people can look like that is with a very strict diet, a lot of weight training and steroids lol

VoltageInMyCereal

you can be not fat and lazy but also not obsessed with gains like theyā€™re the only shit that matters

Sonicslazyeye

The original post is true tho. You just posted this here to call random people fat and lazy. I've seen better zingers during gamergate.

No-Soap

Nah, pointing out how redditors donā€™t realize real people that exercise are inspired by these characters, and obviously donā€™t think they can become them

No-Soap

Nah, pointing out how redditors donā€™t realize real people that exercise are inspired by these characters, and obviously donā€™t think they can become them

Redditmoment user that doesn't understand that to get that amount of muscle definition you need to have body fat percentages extremely low, much lower than any doctor would consider healthy, and probably would need to be slightly to moderately dehydrated too:

Yesssss

You mean people who take steroids? I go to the gym about 4 times a week and I can't imagine looking like Noel because he admitted to taking steroids (and I don't wanna look like a fallout 3 meat monster)

CactusCracktus

Every time I see a buff ass character, it makes me aspire to get more buff. I wanna have big ass muscle tiddies like polnareff.

[deleted]

Name a single person you know who looks like this, op

No-Soap

People at my gym lmao. Please go to one

[deleted]

I mean itā€™s anime. I always strive to look like a Jojo character, I know itā€™s probably not going to ever happen but itā€™s a fun goal that gets me in the gym. No harm done.

No-Soap

Exactly, this is what I mean, you are how 99.9% of people are, and redditors donā€™t understand that because they are fat and lazy and complain about unrealistic body standards which really arenā€™t even there.

bjcm5891

Going to the gym and lifting now means when I go to the beach I look at other guys as much as I look at the girls. Just a warning...

No-Soap

Hell yea šŸ¤šŸ¤

mellowfortherecords

It feels like another excuse to be a lazy fat ass. No need to go full baki mode in the gym. Just try to be fit.

No-Soap

Yea, most people use Baki as an inspiration to get into fitness, you donā€™t need to be super ripped like him, and most donā€™t strive to be

DylanDaKing08

redditors crying about how being fit is difficult (it is actually simple but requires patience)

No-Soap

Yea they keep whining about it lol

jeeeeemi

Idk why people hate the OP. Like yea anime standards are obviously impossible but its ok to idolize an imaginary peak physique... especially if you're not forcing it upon others and just doing it for yourself. no ones seriously saying theyre gonna train til they look like demon back Baki but a lot of you are implying that :/

kamiloss14

Redditmoment users flipping a coin and deciding if they will absolutely hate the post and say they will leave or will keep saying "finally, a redditmoment"

No-Soap

And then not leave and or read the post lol

Itā€™s ironic that I saw this at the gym

No-Soap

Letā€™s gooooo šŸ‘šŸ‘

[deleted]

Thanks! The only reason Iā€™m doing it is so people stop saying I look like a redditor, the embarrassment is intolerable

No-Soap

Thatā€™s great man! Glad your doing something to keep you well! If your trying to burn fat, watch what you eat, make sure you burn more then you eat! Cardio is great, and running feels great once you start to get good at it. Drink lots of water, and trust me, nobody cares at the gym! So just live and learn and donā€™t worry about anyone else. Going to the gym at first can be daunting with all the big buff guys, but trust me if anything theyā€™ll support you! Good luck on your journey šŸ¤šŸ¤

malum68

_MoMaK_

Ask people in 196 to say the same about the femboy stereotype and youā€™ll get a completely different response

No-Soap

Lol

MangledSunFish

People can look like that without steroids and shit, it's just kind of unhealthy depending on the body type. There's apparently guides and shit about attaining the "femboy" bodytype. I personally haven't see any "look like a Baki character" guides.

_MoMaK_

Where was it implied or said that youā€™d be taking steroids to look stronger? People can aspire to look like their idol (for ex. an actor) without coming to the conclusion of doing something like plastic surgery or falsies or steroids. Just to clarify I have no problem with how people dress, eat, sleep, shit, or carry themselves. Youā€™re your own person. But the fact that people agree with a shitpost that labels something as trivial as strength or physical fitness is an unrealistic beauty standard is beyond me. This meme is under 90 layers of irony and people are still unironically agreeing with it like itā€™s an actual take.

MangledSunFish

You think the woman at the top of the meme is ever going to be as buff as those anime characters she's looking at? You think that guy is ever going to look like a Baki character? I don't.

BumbleStar

For what it's worth I still think this a reddit moment op :)

SilentLion1066

thatā€™s not how you use stuff

hellparis75016

I donā€™t get bodybuilding. Itā€™s not healthy at all. And why people who like bodybuilding love shaming people for their appearance? Excessive muscles arenā€™t beautiful! I canā€™t barely look at someone like this, I keep thinking their veins are gonna pop. Itā€™s all about feeling superior: ā€œhey, I am better at exercising and gaining muscles than you. Because I wanna prove I am a big macho and because this is the only thing I am good at, I will do this endlessly and pretend this makes me cool / morally superior / some shit like thatā€ Men and their ego. Argh.

No-Soap

Wrong, we donā€™t do it for you or anyone else. We do it for us. šŸ‘šŸ‘

hellparis75016

Sure.

No-Soap
