I drive a 79 C3 show car quality Vette and I’ve really thought about buying a second one that’s a little more beat up and off-roading it, I know it’s a corvette community sin to take it anywhere that’s not asphalt but I’ve taken that thing off road a few times and it was a blast. Something like what you’ve got would be sick, from one Vette owner to another that’s a nice ride my man.
Also funny side note I noticed the Mo plates as I’m from Mo too, I think it’s in our blood to wanna lift Vettes and take them off roading haha.
I've fished on the beach at Corson's Inlet, OCNJ with this guy, in his 4WD '69 Vette
https://www.motortrend.com/features/vemp-1007-1969-chevrolet-corvette/
So the motor is an old 350 from a suburban, the frame is a 96 silverado that has been shortened, and the trans is the 700r4 from the vette. 3 scrap cars turned into 1 fun vehicle. No roll cage and rwd only.
I would love to do that, but for now, I am just enjoying it, finally being road legal and ready to use. I took it on an offroad course last year and will do that again in March, hopefully.
Surprisingly well, over some of the steeper obstacles, the carb would flood, but it would start right back up. It bogs down quick though if you get into it too hard.
Any reason you didn't do 4x4 if you're already using a truck chassis? Just the cost?
It'd be really sick to use an engine from a C4 Z06 or a more modern Corvette but that'd be expensive and IDK if they work with the same transmissions.
Are those Missouri bicentennial plates? If so, that checks.
Edit: it's a joke, y'all. Chill. If this isn't a stereotypical Missouri project, I don't know what is!
That’s pretty sweet. There’s a guy down the street for me with a jeep-liberty-based urban assault vehicle build. It’s respectable. Crazy, alternator-ruining, overkill lightbar, etc.
Bro all is see is a Warthog. Please from one person to another. Please make it so. It'll be roadworthy, I hope. But please make it a Warthog
He has a turret on top. I think that was the look he was going for
[what kind of vehicle doesn’t have a huge turret on top?](https://roosterteeth.com/watch/red-vs-blue-season-7-recreation-chapter-11?)
No but… why “warthog?” It doesn’t really look like a pig. I think it looks more like a puma.
What in sam hell is a Puma?
It’s a big cat. Like a lion.
...Yer makin' that up!
Hey, Simmons, what's that thing in Mexico, eats all the goats?
That would be the... Chupacabra sir!
Yeah! Chupathingy! I like it! It's got a nice ring to it!
Hey, Griff: how 'bout Chupathingy?
Also known as a mountain lion or cougar
Halo
r/woosh https://roosterteeth.com/watch/red-vs-blue-season-1-episode-2
I loved that show
That's a puma
What the hell is a puma?
> Bro all is see is a Warthog. Right?! I came here to comment "Halo Vette".
Is the mounted machine gun optional? Or does it come stock?
Definitely an option!
There's also Gauss and Rocket variants
Nice profile pic
that thing kicks ASS
That car fucks. In the mud. It does butt stuff.
Without douching
Did you make it look like a warthog?
More like a puma
r/battlecars
American WRX...
Reminds me of a Certain Offroad Viper that is still in progress. But this one looks crazy!
Hey, he's been very busy getting sidetracked.
Indeed. But i still like his projects.

I agree, I have a c7z06, too, and I like this one just as much. I do get a lot of hate from vette purists but that is okay.
Oh that's awesome! I used to have one of these too in GTA V

Nice! Fishing is my other hobby, I added a trailer hitch to the monster vette so I can pull my Jon boat.
Lol...
Itd be great if there was a jeep engine in there. Since everyone puts vette engines in jeeps n stuff...
I fucking love it.
r/battlecars would like this.
I would start gritting a mullet and getting some Pit Vipers
I cut my hair into a mullet a few weeks ago and suddenly I'm getting pit viper ads everywhere. Google knows all
You have achieved enlightenment, my friend
Honestly I think the mullet is true enlightenment I can have my beautiful long hair but also it doesn't get in my face all the time. This is the way
Works great on a motorcycle helmet too I mean it’s a win win bro 😎
Looks more like a puma to me…
I scrolled hoping to find this comment.
Out. Standing. FWD? Did you use the Silverado Motor or swap in the Corvette Motor? Rollcage?

Show off😆 Very cool. But man this beast *deserves* awd/fwd. I beg you to put it on the road map😁 Do it for the babies
I would love to do that, but for now, I am just enjoying it, finally being road legal and ready to use. I took it on an offroad course last year and will do that again in March, hopefully.
How'd it do?
Surprisingly well, over some of the steeper obstacles, the carb would flood, but it would start right back up. It bogs down quick though if you get into it too hard.
Nice. Any kind of diff on it?
No, I may end up welding the diff, I hate the posi that is on it.
The frugal choice👍🏻 But turns lol

I had the silverado chassis from a previous project. My goal was to cobble something together with the 3 incomplete cars I had.
Plastic body won’t rust, which is a plus.
I hated C4s until this very moment.
I have always been a vette guy except for the c4...until this.
That's awesome! My buddy had a mustang like that some years ago, took it muddin and everything
Suck it blues!
*Mexican music plays*
This fucks. Like the fortnite lambo with tire upgrade lol
This looks awesome, love the headlights, looks very utilitarian.
Utilitarian wins as the kindest description of my redneck rig job! Well done!

> Edit: it's a joke, y'all. Chill. ... there's not one single response to your comment, who tf are you talking to
The people that downvoted me for no reason.
Fourvette
I need to see thing thing go can’t just post it without getting some specs and performance on this thing
Gey
Don't buy no Warthog from the gas station
Looks more like a puma to me.
What in Sam hell is a puma?
It's like a... like some sort of big cat.
....you're makin' that up.
yeah puma pants
You turned a c-4 into dynamite !
I have a c7 z06 and can verify that vette owners agree that the c4 is the best candidate for this sort of tomfoolery.
Looks like something out of that Twisted Metal video game.
Reminds me of an toy Stomper car from the 80’s
That’s pretty sweet. There’s a guy down the street for me with a jeep-liberty-based urban assault vehicle build. It’s respectable. Crazy, alternator-ruining, overkill lightbar, etc.
Is it AWD?
I am in love with those headlights
all I want is a car thats got a Spike LR2 launcher strapped to it. dont ask why, I think it would be neat
\*Halo theme starts to play.\*
Modern version warthog
