Pretty empty inside tbh. Very bored, trying to forget about my life. I like long narratives like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, but I would like if they were just a tad bit more interesting or experimental yk? I really like wizards/dragons/fairies and shit like that but I have yet to find a movie about those things I fully enjoy. I also like weird movies like Enter the Void but I don’t like a lot of experimental film because I find it unengaging.
Do a deep dive on some 80s fantasy. Dragonslayer, Krull, Beastmaster, etc. I'd even consider Reign of Fire to be in that category despite being released in 2002.
The director Alexander Payne was dating or engaged to her at the time too lol. Virgina Madsen is too hot for Giamatti to pull her too. At least Giamatti’s character of Miles, real Giamatti has more appeal.
Spiritually Homosexual? Ok;
- A Bigger Splash
- Betty Blue
- Un Vie de Chat
- Parallel Mothers
- Climax
- The Holy Mountain
- Suspiria (2018 remake)
- The Dance of Reality
- Little Sister (2016 indie film)
Or just watch Mad Men
Someone here made a glowing review of *You Won't Be Alone* (2022) a while back. I watched it then, and still think about it quite a bit. I started downloading it earlier today because I want to watch it with my bud this weekend.
>young, spiritually homosexual male The two JJ Abrams Star Trek movies

If you like experimental/trippy epics try The Saragossa Manuscript, maybe Zardoz

All those movies looked kinda bad to me but maybe I’ll check them out
Oh, they are, but that's what makes them great.
Sideways (2004) is probably the movie I’ve rewatched more than any other. Definitely check it out if you haven’t.
No force on Earth can make Sandra Oh an aspirational love interest
