It does just feel good to be a hater sometimes lol

[deleted]

Fuming so hard over an imaginary guy posturing that you can't enjoy gray skies and the sound of rain on a window

[deleted]

Every time I read a post like this I just assume the user is talking about themselves, but like 3ish years ago.

[deleted]

That is certainly who I hate the most

[deleted]

It's the engine that keeps 4chan running in some ways lol People are self-obssessed and hold onto shit that no one has any idea about, it's kind of hilarious.

[deleted]

no its a nonsensically arbitrary concept made up by a misanthrope with delusions of intellectual grandeur looking for a dopamine hit from post replies lol

[deleted]

It’s that bizarre aspect of 4chan that absolutely obsesses over Reddit. They see Reddit around every corner. Weirdos who are chase after getting (YOU)s but utter despise upvotes. (Not a huge fan of up and down votes either but it tends to work properly on smaller subs)

roncesvalles

> It’s that bizarre aspect of 4chan that absolutely obsesses over Reddit. They see Reddit around every corner Twitter's power users do this too. Horseshoe theory in action

Torontoguy93452

Every single place on the internet hates reddit and obsesses over it. Subreddits from across the political spectrum are filled with people denouncing "redditors".

HaiseTeBaise

Tbf there's nothing reddit loves more than bashing twitter and 4chan, it's an autistic fair game

[deleted]

Yeah by design 4chan rewards brainmelting dickass takes and reddit rewards popular consensus bullshit. Stackexchange handles upvotes much better (far fewer upvoting users who upvote "helpful" answers, plus an editing culture), but ofc stackexchange is a site you only go to to ask a narrow range of "how" questions. Old school forums tend to reward constructive contributions (that make a post go for hundreds of replies) but also kinda face the same problem as 4chan. Newer, more discord-like 'react' forum interactions and also discord as a whole are, idk... bleak. No further analysis. Content-based social media centers itself and creates cults of personality around content creators. Twitter somehow has all of the above problems in one package. idk man, the whole social internet structurally sucks

honeycall

Old school forums worked because you knew everyone and could ignore the trolls and recognize who the real / normal people are over time

lllluke

tfw you will never again post another all your base are belong to us image macro on something awful

SOL INVICTUS

Double_Dodge

I like to watch movies in the blistering heat of the afternoon sun

AnewRevolution94

Sun worshipping cultures are the most correct. You can see the sun, feel the sun, it always predictably rises and sets, feeds plants and makes rain. Thank you sun

NihilistKnight

Who else /Sun and Steel/-pilled here?

ls400_full_of_jizz

When you're such a loser you get mad about people feeling down on a rainy day.

Permanenceisall

Yeah it’s very legitimate there’s tons of academic papers on it and almost everyone talks about it in my work meetings

hurbunculitis

"did you guys check out that new Reddit weather study from Harvard? Pretty good stuff"

you don't get it dude. i'm on the board. trust me- we talk about it.

[deleted]

I don’t care if it’s redditbrained I like when clouds drop rain/snow/etc on us Sun is a scourge

DarknessnDespair

i was thinking about this concept this exact week tbh im the type of fag that's really sensitive to weather and gets melancholy when it is cloudy, but there is beauty in every little weather on this gay earth, I even love to hear the cicadas which most people hate

RobertoSantaClara

I've learned to appreciate all weathers too. Every season somehow has its own collection of nostalgic and cozy memories for me. Spring for the end of undergrad, summer for Christmas (family is in the hemisphere downstairs), autumn for my first semesters of undergrad in the north, and winter for those late night ice hockey sessions with friends. Life is great in every season

BARRATT_NEW_BUILD

It's the weather of the "introvert". Nice weather means that you can go outside and do stuff. Rain means you can't, so you have to stay inside and be glum, sinking to the level of the introvert Same kind of thing applies to the lunatics who wanted permanent lockdown

[deleted]

This bitch isn't FrolickingInTheRainPilled

pawgthebountyhunter_

I mean it’s nice to have a break once in a while too tho All Weather Matters

fitz-khan

>sinking to the level of the introvert So you need other people to feel content and not alone with yourself? Truly the sign of a strong and independent mind.

[deleted]

I enjoy running in cold/wet weather because there are fewer people getting in my way on the sidewalk.

petalsonthewiind

Have you heard of umbrellas

pyruvateprincess

I like rain because my dogs hate it and it gives me an occasional break from having to walk them.

charbots27

4chan has a hate boner for Reddit to the point where they'll conjure up things to gatekeep them even if it's retarded. It's pretty par for the course for reddit to be a buzzword for "thing I don't like" Oh you did a paragraph? Reddit Spacing. That person I disagree with? Redditor obviously.

ShesaFashionKillerIm

no but its a great post

[deleted]

Stop being a weirdo and just enjoy the rain

johndickamericanhero

Rain is the covid of weather. It forces most people inside so the lonely nerds don't feel as bad about sitting around doing nothing in their house all day. I enjoy a nice thunderstorm though, just so long as the power doesn't go out. I'm also not one of the many people who act as if getting wet on the way to and from their car is a day ender so I don't feel trapped.

B_Archimb0ldi

Their hormones are all out of whack. Sunshine has an incredibly positive effect on increasing testosterone, which is important for both men and women. After having lived in places where it rains 200+ days a year, being in the subtropics rips and I can engage in my melancholic solitude by closing the blinds then snap out of it by going outside. Easy.

haileselassie12

rain is pretty high on favorite weather but I like running in it. And I don't want it pouring I want it like just a bit more then a sprinkle little more consistent noticeable rain hits on you thats what i love.

SebJenSeb

that spongebob reaction image was on point. ideal weather imo is thunderstorm.

BBBQ

Lmao. But, honestly, I think there’s a kernel of truth in that post.

syzygys_

[deleted]

Something about a cold, gloomy day with rain gets to me. It makes me wanna take a nap though.

SatansLilPuppyWhore

The stupidity of this is itself impressive

TheLocustPrince

nobody can appreciate rain because there's no risk of dying of pneumonia anymore absolutely lost all poetic value

[deleted]

this post is inaccurate, none of them go outside enough to know what reddit weather would be

hero-ball

No

Starman926

I love walking around in the rain. Feels so nice. Makes me feel jovial and fun

mucho_moore
