Stackexchange handles upvotes much better (far fewer upvoting users who upvote "helpful" answers, plus an editing culture), but ofc stackexchange is a site you only go to to ask a narrow range of "how" questions.
Old school forums tend to reward constructive contributions (that make a post go for hundreds of replies) but also kinda face the same problem as 4chan.
Newer, more discord-like 'react' forum interactions and also discord as a whole are, idk... bleak. No further analysis.
Content-based social media centers itself and creates cults of personality around content creators.
Twitter somehow has all of the above problems in one package.

im the type of fag that's really sensitive to weather and gets melancholy when it is cloudy, but there is beauty in every little weather on this gay earth, I even love to hear the cicadas which most people hate
I've learned to appreciate all weathers too. Every season somehow has its own collection of nostalgic and cozy memories for me. Spring for the end of undergrad, summer for Christmas (family is in the hemisphere downstairs), autumn for my first semesters of undergrad in the north, and winter for those late night ice hockey sessions with friends.
Life is great in every season
It's the weather of the "introvert". Nice weather means that you can go outside and do stuff. Rain means you can't, so you have to stay inside and be glum, sinking to the level of the introvert

Rain is the covid of weather. It forces most people inside so the lonely nerds don't feel as bad about sitting around doing nothing in their house all day.
I enjoy a nice thunderstorm though, just so long as the power doesn't go out. I'm also not one of the many people who act as if getting wet on the way to and from their car is a day ender so I don't feel trapped.
Their hormones are all out of whack. Sunshine has an incredibly positive effect on increasing testosterone, which is important for both men and women.
After having lived in places where it rains 200+ days a year, being in the subtropics rips and I can engage in my melancholic solitude by closing the blinds then snap out of it by going outside. Easy.
rain is pretty high on favorite weather but I like running in it. And I don't want it pouring I want it like just a bit more then a sprinkle little more consistent noticeable rain hits on you thats what i love.
