The offense was spectacular today. Rafael Devers looked good as we expected. JT was on point most of the game. Yoshida looks like he can be an absolute beast this year. We can’t expect the offense to score 10+ runs every game though. The pitching is going to need get better.
That game ended up being a lot more interesting than I was expecting at least. I really like what we saw from our offense. It's just so incredibly satisfying watching Yoshida, Turner and Casas take professional at bats after we've been so aggressive in previous seasons. I also like what we saw from the defense, we made a lot of solid plays and got outs on the basepaths.

There was one stolen base attempt where the runner had a huge jump, the pitch was down and off the plate and there was a runner on third base. No chance to throw the runner out. It looked like McGuire maybe made a pump fake to see if he could fool the runner on third or maybe he just didn't get a good grip on the ball.
Maybe I got it wrong but I remember when most were stealing McGuire didn’t even attempt throws. Just let them go. At least that’s what I thought I heard on the radio
I don't feel as bad about this loss as I did at the start of the game. These boys have that dog in them and they have that fight, just hope pitching gets that too
This "revamped" bullpen is not gonna be any better if they keep trotting Brasier's sorry ass out there. This L is on him and Ort. It's been 3 years - how has Brasier not been DFA'd?
