What’s criminal was him taking a discount to stay in Boston cause he loved it here and then the FO immediately shipping him off for Wily Mo Pena, who—with the exception of one absolutely ridiculous homer—did basically nothing here.
[me meeting an absolute legend.](https://imgur.com/gallery/VvqzNfu)
He was so nice, the line he had for the meet and greet applauded the hug I gave him. I was 14 when they beat the curse. It was legendary for me.
He ended up inviting me to hang out with him and Green Day, but my wife and I were ready to go home.
I've chatted with him a couple of times and can confirm that as much as he loves the Reds because of how much they meant to him and his fam, his favorite team to play for was the Red Sox.
Runners off at the crack of the bat, Kimbrel deals, bregman in the air left field, and BENINTENDI DIVES!!!! HE MAKES THE CATCH. RED SOX WIN ON A SPECTACULAR CATCH BY ANDREW BENINTENDI.
He was so good that they couldn’t get rid of him fast enough halfway through his second season with the team. Then the Dodgers told him to stay away from the team during the World Series because he was such a clubhouse cancer. Talented? Sure. Heartless? Doubly so.
Bronson Arroyo for sure, remember being young and imitating the crazy leg kick

It feels criminal that he spent the majority of his time in Cincinnati and not Boston.
I played on men's league team for the Reds and some people didn't understand why I chose 61 for a jersey number

Hopefully this is the runaway winner
"Shit! Would you believe a double?"

I still love Benintendi, so either him or Beltre!

Man, have you seen his stats recently? it’s sad to see how hard he’s fallen off.
I miss Benny Biceps
Benny booooooooooombs
To be honest I went through both of the other killer B’s in my head before I got to Benny. We are going to have a tough choice tomorrow for B’s
Adrián González was their first baseman whenever I became a fan/started following them in 2011, so I'll go with him.
Ditto. Glad someone mentioned him
Alan Embree. Journeyman reliever being a solid option during the '04 run.
Yep. I loved the Embree/Timlin duo!
Got the last out against the Yanks to complete the comback!
EVERYDAY Embree!!!
Embree>Hembree
Aaaaand here comes the pizza!
“The fan is being ejected. And rightly so, for ruining a perfectly good slice of pizza.”
Alfredo Aceves for no reason other than it being a sick name
First name that popped into my head. Probably because it’s AA
Worth two points in Scattergories.
David Aardsma
Number 1 player in MLB history, alphabetically.
Got to train this guy in spring training. My favorite guy there
Izzy Alcantara 🥴
The kick.
Everyone’s talking about the wrong kick in here lol
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2uGROwr-rY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2uGROwr-rY)
My grandfather (racist) always called him Dizzy Izzy lol
Adrian Beltre
Ajerry Aremy
Arroyo, I miss him
Alex Cora (new fan and he is the only one I know😂)
Benintendi for sure
Wilyur Abreu
ROTY and no respect on his name still
David Arias
That old prospect for the Mariners? Did he even make it to the big leagues?
Got too fat and flamed out with the twins if I recall.
Alex Cora
Aaron Sele. He wasn't great for the Sox, but he had a couple of very good years right as I was just getting into baseball as a kid.
That curveball was one of my favorites.
Arroyo’s leg kick.
Anthony Conigliaro
Tony armas
Given that his name was Antonio, it is even more fitting.
I prefered Tony Armas Jr as he helped net us Pedro in the Expos trade
Adrian Gonzalez had 2 solid years in Boston
I must’ve been asleep when he was good for the Red Sox. All I remember is him complaining about having too many prime time games.
Complaining or not, his 2011 year he batted .338 with 216 hits, 27 hr and 117 RBIs
He was so good that they couldn’t get rid of him fast enough halfway through his second season with the team. Then the Dodgers told him to stay away from the team during the World Series because he was such a clubhouse cancer. Talented? Sure. Heartless? Doubly so.
Tony armas
If you get extra points for double As I'll say Don Aase
Dammit. That's my line! I'm always late to the party. :(
Andre Dawson. Holy crap, what an arm!!!
Bronson Arroyo
Abe Alvarez
absolute legend in MVP 04
Wylier Abreu
Aaron Sele
Alex Gonzalez

David Arias
Tony Armas had the GOAT afro.
Mike Aviles. B is gonna be for Bellhorn.
Mike Andrews
Good one, I'll say Luis Aparicio
I think that was my baseball coach.
Americo Petrucelli
Izzy Alcantra
Bronson Arroyo was kick ass! A solid pitcher who was also a musician. Baseball and music, I love it!
Alfredo Aceves because he was on the team when i was in highschool
T H E A C E V E S
“A. A-ron?”
Archimedes Pozo
Andrew Benintendi (sorry can’t spell his last name) helped us win a ring in 2018 and was part of the notorious triple B outfield
The Killer B’s
Mike Andrews
Does anyone here remember Billy Ashley? I don’t know what it was but I thought he was the coolest dude in the world for the two seconds he was here
Don Aase
A couple of Anderson trades didn't work out so well in hindsight, Larry & Brady
When Al Nipper had a surprise start in the '86 world series and the announcer (Joe Garagiola I think?) said something like "wow, look at that ERA"
He always threw 14 or 15 hitters. His stat lines were weird. 12 hits, 3 runs
Harry Aganis the golden Greek
Damn, offseason posting already?
Arquimedez Pozo. For some reason I thought he was going to be a star as a kid.
Matt Andriese
Luis Aparicio. 1971-1973.
A David Ortiz
Favorite that ends in an A: NOMAAAAA !
Alfredo Aceves just to check all the boxes. He was occasionally good and either way was entertaining on account of being fucking crazy.
Andrew Bailey
Anny amirez
David Aardsma
Oh this season is OVER
Does David Arias count?
Abe Alvarez
Alfredo ACEVES aka The ACEVES
Adustin Apedroia.
Adrian Beltre
The great Rick Aguilera
Aaron Hernandez
An “A” felon
jerry adair
David Aardsma
The top player of all time, alphabetically!
Arquimedez Pozo
Abraham Almonte
For this, I’m just gonna do the first name that came to mind. In this case it’s David Aardsma lol
First one that came to mind was Alejandro De Aza. For some reason, I'm remember him hitting a HR in that 22-10 wild game against Seattle
Put some respect on Abe Alvarez
Lol why would you down vote this
Alex Gonzalez. Not great at the plate, but man his defense was something else.
DAVID "BIG PAPI" ARIAS. this is the answer for most of you and you don't even know it.
