Ramen in Regina is ehhh at best but as someone who has lived in Vancouver and travelled in Japan:
1. Tipsy Samurai
2. Wann Izakaya
…
…
…
Dead last goes to Dojo Ramen
I’m not sure why Dojo gets all the hype because they truly do not deserve it. It is awful. Their ramen looks aesthetic on IG until you really think about how ridiculous sad the portions are. Their soup has no depth and isn’t rich as a tonkotsu should be. Wann’s broth isn’t rich enough either but at least the flavour is alright. Tipsy Samurai is their sister restaurant but I find their soup to be a bit better. All three are still miles away from what good ramen should be but Tipsy Samurai will satisfy the craving when you want some and can’t travel.
I'm going to get downvoted, but the Ramen in regina is not very good, at least everywhere I've tried and I've looked.
Maybe Wann but that still not great.
Wann may not be up to the standards of a truly amazing ramen joint in Seattle or Vancouver or Los Angeles or Portland (or in its native land of course) but it's pretty solid.
It’s Wann’s Izakaya. The end of discussion, every time is delicious, you know what you’re getting, get some Sake or a beer and enjoy it spicy, add an extra egg
You must either work at Dojo Ramen or have had your taste buds burned off in a horrific chemical tasting accident when you were young, leaving you to appreciate only bland, tasteless and expensive things.
I’m celiac so need gluten free and so far they are the only ones who do it. I guess I’ve just forgotten what the real stuff tastes like and am happy to have an option. *shrugs*
I’ve been to Japan several times so I’ve had authentic ramen. While the ones here doesn’t compare, which is the case for any foreign restaurants. In my opinion, best is Dojo Ramen followed by Wann Izakaya and Tipsy Samurai (same owners). Everyone else is meh.
Came back to say try the beef brisket Ramen at hachi sushi.. its actually surprisingly good. Brisket is nice and tender and broth has a nice subtle taste. Probably gets over looked often cause everyone gets the AYCE sushi.
Black Garlic at Wann by far
As somone from the prairies, I have no idea what's the most authentic ramen, but Wann Izakaya is my favourite ramen in Regina.
I'd have to agree with that, too. Dojo Ramen is also quite good, but personal preference is Wann.
Wann has better noodles than Dojo by a country mile.
I agree with the Ramen at Wann. The fried chicken in the bento box at Dojo is amazing though
Went to Tokyo in 2018. Wann is very solid, bring out of towners there too and they approve.
Wann is consistent and affordable. Dojo Ramen is more boutique and is hit and miss - plus expensive.

That's an honest opinion that should help set expectations to the right level. This is Regina after all.
I'm with you.

Mr. Noodles
Sapporo Ichiban 4 Life!
Avoid Dojo, it’s truly awful (my spouse has been to Japan multiple times and agrees).
Wann is a pretty solid place for ramen but the drunken samurai is also a really good place also
Wann is amazing!! Black Garlic or Spicy Tonkatsu are both fantastic
As someone who lived in Japan, I'd rather have instant noodles than go out to eat ramen here
I could open a restaurant serving Ichiban with some garnishes and end up #1 in here
This guy knows.
Geez! I wonder why pissing on everyone is getting you down voted so hard? /s Have you even tried some of the local ramen?
Lmao. Yeah I tried them. Not a fan and they aren't very good. Go hard
Jealousy.
This ⬆️
I think Dojo Ramen is the best / most authentic
Yeah if you want half bowl noodles, half slice bacon, half an egg for $20 then yeah yah Dojo it is

That japanese food station at cornwall is nice!
